I dove into the ocean with one thought in mind, what else lives in the ocean?  I knew that the mer-people would know more about the ocean than humans ever would.  So here I was with Poseidon behind me swimming toward the palace.  I didn't want to just walk in so when I got there I knocked on the giant door.  "What are you doing?"  I turned toward Poseidon and gave him this duh face.  "I'm being polite by knocking."  Poseidon grabbed the handle and walked in.  "You don't need to knock.  Your mate is the king himself."  I blushed completely forgetting about that.  We walked in and I decided I would look at everything later.  "Can you show me to the library?"  Poseidon nodded and we began walking in a direction.   After swimming for what felt like forever we finally stopped in front of giant stone doors.  

     We walked in and I gasped.  It was huge.  There was an upstairs in this library and new it would take me a while.  So why not start now.  I swam to a bookshelf and pulled out a book.  I began to read it and found nothing related to what I was searching.  "What are you looking for?"  I put the book  back and went to grab another.  "Research.  I want to help you.  If you want me to stay at the palace then I'm going to do my research while I am here."  I put the book back and went to the next.  This was going to take a while.

       After six hours of reading I finally found something of interest.  Poseidon was in his office so I went to go find him.  I may not know where his office is but I can still find it.  So I grabbed the book and swam in a direction.  

       It's been an hour and I'm lost.  I haven't seen anyone since I left the library and I began to get nervous.  It was getting dark outside and still nothing.  I turned the corner and saw a lady walking by.  "Excuse me miss!"  I swam up to her and saw something.  She looked like Poseidon in a way.  "Yes?"  I shook my head and smiled at her.  "I was wondering if you new where Chase office was?  I've been swimming for an hour and still can't find it."  She smiled at me and nodded her head.  after about a minute of swimming she began to ask me questions.  "So what's your relationship with my son?"  Wait, son?!  I didn't realize that she was Chase mother!  "Uh-uh..."  Great job Ame you just messed up your first introduction with your soulmates mother!  I sighed internally and mentally slapped myself in the face.  "Nervous are we?"  I blushed a deep red.  "Don't worry I don't bite.  So how do you know him?  You must be close if you can call him just Chase."  I nodded my head.  "Ame dear, is that you?"  I turned around and guess who showed up this time.  His grandmother Ocean.  Yay for me, hint the sarcasm.  "Hi."  It came out in a whisper.  "I see you met Chase mother.  Good for you next step for you two."  I blushed deeply.  Please stop.  "Um.  She was just showng me where Chase office was."  Again with the whispering!  "Oh so was I!  Mira dear let me take her to his office.  You go help Daniel."  Chase mother nodded her head and swam off.  "Thank you."  I linked arms with Ocean and we began to swim again.  "Don't worry I was in your shoes once.  I was a human too before I found my mate.  He died of course but not before I had my son."  I looked at her surprised.  

         After swimming for over an hour we finally stopped in front of a door.  I didn't realize this palace was so large!  "Here we are dear!"  Ocean was so cheerful, and I loved that about her.  I knocked on the door and heard Chase call us in.  I walked in and saw Chase in a meeting with some guy who I guess is a guard.  I hid behind Ocean and clutched the book to my chest.  "Hello Chase.  I just came to ask about the masquerade ball coming up."  Chase nodded and looked towards me, a big smile hit his face.  "Hi Ame."  I blushed and hid deeper in Ocean.  "Hi."  My voice came out in a squeak.  As you can tell I'm very shy.  Chase chuckled and held his hand out toward me.  "Come here."  I swam quickly toward him blushing.  He pulled me into his side and I hid my face.  This was so embarrassing.  "What do you need princess?"  I blushed harder at the compliment and looked at the book.  "I found something."  Again with the whispering!  I really needed to stop.  

       I opened the book open to the page and began to feel more confident.  "I was looking at your guys ancestry and saw something.  The same thing happened to them.  People began to disappear.  In the entry they explain everything.  About how worried they were and what could be doing this.  I think I found the answer.  I looked at different books on what the creature could be and saw it was the same thing.  So I began to read deeper.  At the very end of the book it explains what it is."  I handed Chase the book and felt his hand tighten on me.  "Do you really think this is whats attacking us?"  I looked up at him and nodded.  "Yes.  It fits the same situation and everything."  I looked at my top and studied it.  It was a pretty crop top that was white and stopped above my belly button.  "Ok, but who could be controlling it?"  I looked into his eyes and saw the glint I adored.  "I don't know."
