I gulped nervously. The lion lifts his paw and moves it to make a round forcefield made with flames, separating me from my friends and the human. I could see through the orange red barrier. "You can do it Nero, I believe in you!", Kara cheered. "Yeah!", Cody exclaimed, "I'll be rootin' for you!"

I gasp and point my paw left, "OH LOOK! WHAT'S THAT!", I exclaim as a method of distraction. I snuck behind and pounced onto his back and scratched his face.

"I WAS FOOLED BY A LEOPARD!?", the lion hissed while kicking me off.

We both stood up and slapped each other's faces with our paws, our claws were out of their sheaths as tiny scars decorated our faces. The lion bites my ear, leaving bite marks on it. I hiss in pain as blood slowly trickles from it, which gave him an opportunity to prepare for a special attack. I got up from the cold hard ground with my front legs shaking. He laughed boastfully. I snarled.

I pounced on the lion, knocking him to the ground, I sunk my teeth into its neck.The lion scratched my underbelly, forcing me off and lifted his paw, summoning tall, thin pillars of fire from the ground moving towards me in different directions.

I saw a pillar of flame moving forwards, I dodged the red hot columns, the flame singed the fur on my left side, which was pretty painful. I pounced onto the lion, sending the both of us to tumble around the fiery arena.

We both snarled and scratched each other's faces. The lion bit my neck, giving me bite marks all over my neck. I scratched weakly at his underbelly, giving him small scars. The lion lets go and goes for my left ear, making blood trickle in drops from the bite marks. I snarl and pinned him down while biting his front legs. He kicked me into the air, knocking me out for five seconds.

He gives me a victorious look on his face while he chuckled. I growled and scratched his face, and the grin on it turned into a sneer. He locked his jaws my left arm, leaving small bite marks with every bite. I scratched his eye with my right paw. He charged at me and pinned me to the ground, about to maul me to my death.

I closed my eyes and sigh in defeat. I knew this was the end.

Cody looks at me through the bars, "Don't give up yet, Nero! Give him all you got!", he encouraged. I somehow felt the feeling of defeat drain out of my body and is replaced by confidence and strength.

I slapped the lion's chin with all my might using my left paw, sending his crystal to fly in the air, hitting the wall. It shattered into small pieces, the barrier soon retracted back into the ground. He summons four orange red columns of fire. I quickly dodged each pillar. I smile boastfully in hopes of another fire attack. He looks at me like I was crazy, he scratches my left side, leaving three huge, but shallow, scars going diagonally.

My body was aching with blood and scars all over. I've had worse battles, but this one by far is the worst. Suddenly, a lightbulb went off in my head.

I look at the door which was ashes. 'Hmm, maybe I could kick this guy off the mountain!' I thought.

"Hey furbag!", I taunted with a grin, "come and get me!", I stood near the door while lying on the cold, hard floor with my hind legs ready to kick. The lion pounced onto me, but before he could land, I kicked his stomach, sending him to fall down the mountain to his death while roaring.

Cecil kneels down on one knee with a defeated look, "You have beaten me, take what you want, anything.", he said in defeat while unlocking the cage, releasing everyone. Kara gives me the saddlebag and straps it tight, "Now go find the human cub.", Kara told me.

I soon feel a strong smell, much like the one when I first found the human cub. I decide to follow the scent, and there she was. Cecil walks up to me, "So this is what you want?", he asked while pointing to Ruby, who was sleeping soundly.

I nodded, Cecil sighs and puts her in my saddle bag, leaving a tiny gap for her to breathe, thank God.

"Ok gang, lets go home!", I commanded.

So we went out on our journey back home. The sky was changing from a dark yellow, to orange-red. Now don't you think that this the end of our adventure, because there's plenty more to come.
