Emily's POV

Lyssa and I were just about to go gather some wood to make a fire with when it started to rain.  Then the thunder and lightning began and the camp people came to get us.  They took our group to the place I assumed must be the camp store and told us we'd have to eat food from here and stay the night.

Everyone in the cabin grabbed some food, fruit mostly, and went to sit down.  The other cabins came in one by one until the last cabin, Bianca's cabin.  They all looked worried for some reason, and suddenly I noticed why.

"Lyssa," I whispered," Where's Bianca?"  She scanned the group and frowned.

"Marcus too," she whispered back.  The counsellors stood at the front of the room and began to speak.

"Alright, I'm sure everyone is a little freaked out by the storm, but not to worry.  Now, I need each cabin to tell me, are you all here?"

They went through the cabins numerically, all of them saying everyone was there until it got to Bianca's cabin.  When they were asked, Lauren stepped up to answer.  She looked anxious.

"B-Bianca and Marcus were out g-getting wood when the st-storm started and they n-never came back," she stammered.

"Do you think they might be back at the cabin and we missed them?" the counselor asked.

"Maybe," she said.  "They were gone for a while before the storm."

After that, three counsellors left to look for them.  The rest assured us we shouldn't worry, and that they'd be back soon with the missing students and we should eat and go to bed, but it didn't reassure me.

"I hope they're ok," I said to Lyssa.  She nodded.  The counsellors returned shortly after saying that they weren't at the cabin or anywhere near it, and that it was too dark for them to keep looking.

As I lay in my sleeping bag, listening to the sound of rain on the roof, I thought about Bianca and wondered what she might be thinking about the situation she was in right now.
