Today Savannah and I drove past a red Chevy ATV, Suddenly I felt it all again it was almost overwhelming, The adrenaline, the joy, the sickening dread as I felt the machine move from me the panic as I tucked my limbs in desperation to shield my face from the coming impact , I could hear the sound of my body colliding with the dessert ground I felt the snap of my plastic glasses and finally the stillness after I stopped rolling. My ears rang and my heart was racing. I couldn't breath. Then all at once the pain hit like burning spears. I don't know how long I was laying in the yard. But I knew the face I saw was the retired trauma nurse who lived across the road. She carried me inside and told my father that I needed x-rays.
