I sighed in the grocery store pushing the cart. I had walked here. Showered though before hand so I wouldn't be too embarrassed in public with my hair back in a pony tail and a bit more casual attire. It was hot outside. Upper nineties by now. High noon, too. Being in the air conditioning was a slight short lived relief. 

After a short while it was seriously too cold in here. How much do they pay on their electrical bill? It baffled me every time. Schools were even cold like this. ranging to be seventy two degrees. I can remember just sitting there and always bringing a sweater or jacket. 

I would just be cold while sitting at a desk and learning. There would always be the student body excuse that it was to keep us awake and focused. Makes sense when you are someone who falls asleep to take a nap in the sun. But in a building with windows as the only source of actual sun light, that excuse doesn't cut it. 

 Seventy two degrees outside in the sun? Fantastic! But in a building? No, no, seventy seventy six to seventy eight was a good range. 

I sighed and looked at the list. It was long. Louisa was stocking up again. I would be lugging it all back home. I was in the dairy section grabbing milk when my phone rang. It was Cassidy. 

"Hello", I said. 

"Hi Kathy, you sound better", she said. 

"I am, am I on speaker?", I questioned getting the feeling that I was. it sounded like it. 

"How else would I be able to hear you chica?", asked Louisa. 

"Right, the woman who's making me do shopping for her next meal week plan", I said rolling my eyes. 

"Oh! Your shopping already! You already finished everything else?", asked Louisa. 

"Yup", I replied popping my bubble gum. 

"Chica that reminds me! Can you get olive oil? Or did you walk again?", asked Louisa. 

"I always do", I said. 

"Chica! You are insured to drive my car for a reason", grumbled Louisa. 

"It's a fifteen minute walk!", I objected.

"Ay-yai-yai.....", she muttered under her breath. 

"I'm calling Chris chica. You won't be able to carry that home", she huffed. 

"What?! No! Louisa! No! Do not call him!", I snapped. 

"Did you already call him today?", asked Louisa. 

I gaped, I hadn't, "No.....", I replied after a pause. 

"All the more reason, chica. You need to appreciate a man", sighed Louisa in disapproval. 

"Louisa don't you dare-!!!", 

I heard her own phone go off and ring on speaker. I groaned as to what came next. 

"Hello this is Chris Chad", said a voice. 

"Oye! Chris, this is Louisa", said Louisa. 

Officer Chad chuckled, "Hello Louisa, this is unexpected. Are you alright?", he asked.

"Yes, yes", said Louisa. 

"Do you know were I might be able to get a hold of Miss Klein? I tried to reach her but she didn't pick up", said Officer Chad. 

I frowned, I had never gotten a notification about his call. 

"Yes, yes, I do know. She's at the grocery store", replied Louisa. 

"She's stuck, she walked again and can't carry everything home", piped in Cassidy. 

My mouth fell open. She did not just join in!?

I put my hand on my head grumbling. 

Officer Chad chuckled, "That sounds like her. Please let her know I'll be there in a few minutes", said Officer Chad. 

"Will do", said Louisa. 

"Alright, thank you, have a great day", said Officer Chad. 

"Adios!", said Louisa hanging up. 

"Klein you still there?", asked Cassidy. 

I grumbled. 

Both of them laughed, "Chica, you have found someone! You need to appreciate him! I know you want to see him", said Louisa. 

"I just saw him yesterday! It hasn't even been twenty four hours since the first date!", I said. 

"It was a very successful first date then if it hasn't even been twenty four hours since the next encounter", said Cassidy. 

"Really you guys? Really?", I asked stunned. 

"Por supuesto Chica!", said Louisa (But of course girl!)

I shook my head, "Alright, alright, I can't win", I said. 

"Que te diviertas", said Louisa. (Have fun)

"Si, si, nos vemos más tarde", I said. (Yes, yes, see you both later)

I hung up and raised my head closing my eyes muttering to myself.

"Crazy....crazy....crazy friends", I whispered.
