Taehyung's POV

It took a while, but the flight finally ended, our new beginning starting in Denver, Colorado. We left the plane, backpacks thrown over our backs, smirks on our faces. We reached the airport, walking around while I debated if we should buy food yet again. "You two hungry?" I asked, glancing at them.

"Of course!" They shouted, catching the attention of people nearby, a scowl forming on my face. I gave a low, quiet growl, my eyes locking with theirs. "Quit being so loud, you fucks. We're trying not to attract attention, remember?" They rolled their eyes, pushing passed me and walking towards a place to buy food.

I felt my wolf surface, my head shaking back and forth as I clenched my fists. "They're going to get us screwed," I muttered, walking behind my idiotic friends. They stood in line, myself right behind them as I took out the money we brought, counting it. It would probably come out to about thirty dollars, knowing these two.

I paid for the food, taking another sandwich and walking towards a table to sit at. They followed, sitting down at the small, round table. Jimin dragged a chair from another table, positioning it in front of the table backward, sitting down the wrong way but I could care less.

"Stop trying to act cool," I warned, taking a bite of my sandwich and staring at the table. "I'm not trying. I am cool." I glanced at him, my face emotionless. I turned away, chuckling lowly. "Funny, Park. Real funny." He growled, my eyes flashing blue as I glared at him, power radiating off me.

"Knock," I said slowly, hearing him whine. "It." I leaned closer, my alpha voice shining through. My voice lowered an octave, the power laced within it. "Off." He refused to meet my gaze, staring down at his food while Namjoon just laughed. "You two always seem to butt heads, huh?"

"Don't start, RM." He sent a glare my way, snickering lowly. We ate our food, receiving several curious glances as we sat in silence. I glanced up every now and then, my eyes locking with random people. Could they already tell we didn't belong here?

With a sigh, I tossed the paper from the sandwich away, aiming it and shooting it into the trash can at the corner. It made it in, my facial features remaining emotionless. My friends finished eating, doing the same with their trash as we stood up, heading for the exit to the airport.

The airport was huge, bigger than I expected it to be at least. Once we reached outside, I noticed how almost everyone was wearing a jacket or a sweater, my eyes narrowing. We were dressed in muscle shirts, completely different than what they wore. I chuckled, shaking my head.

Well, too much for blending in I guess.

"Are they cold or something?" Jimin asked me, eyes flickering up to meet mine, a sigh escaping past my lips. "Yes, Jimin, they're humans after all." I inhaled deeply, their scents filling the air, a groan leaving my lips. They didn't smell bad, but it's not like they smelled good either.

"So, where are we going?" Namjoon asked, following behind me as I began to walk down the sidewalk, staring at the ground below us. "Out of the city. We need to look for a forest." Jimin punched my shoulder lightly, my gaze flickering over to him. "This isn't Korea, we don't have to hide here."

"I'm not trying to. The forest is our home after all, or do you beg to differ?" I asked, shoving my hands deep within my pockets as I glanced around, seeing people give us shocked stares and glances when we passed by them. Yeah yeah, we aren't wearing jackets during fall, fuck off.

"Well, no, but you want us to blend in right?" I chuckled, taking a deep breath and flashing a small smile towards my best friend. "Look around," I spoke, eyes scanning over the pedestrians nearby. "Do you think we're blending in?"

He laughed as well, shaking his head while he shoved his hands into his pockets as well. "Not exactly." I snickered, nodding my head while we continued our walk. "If we wear that type of clothing during this weather then we'll most likely die of heat."

My friends laughed, nodding in agreement. Werewolves had a higher body temperature, meaning that fifty degrees Fahrenheit may seem cold to humans, but to us, it's slightly hot. We don't need to bundle up to stay warm, our body temperatures keep us warm during the winter.

"So, where are we going then?" I shrugged, glancing around. "Anywhere really. I want to find a forest to live in for a bit, that's the closest thing to home after all." Namjoon hummed, brushing his shoulder against mine. "What happens once we do that? What do we do after?"

I glanced at the buildings, reading the signs. "We could just look around I guess, see what this city has to offer." They cheered, fist-bumping one another. I laughed, shaking my head as I watched my friends have a small celebration with one another.

Being the alpha of our small pack meant I chose what we did every time. We could only do something unless I gave the okay. Sometimes, I liked it, other times, I hated it. We stayed beside each other, passing by pedestrians as we walked down the sidewalk, not even sparing a glance to those around us.

Jimin spotted a clothing store, pointing at it and pleading me with his eyes. I just nodded, seeing him practically run-up to the store and go inside. I shook my head, glancing around and walking inside the store. It wasn't anything fancy, but it wasn't shitty looking either.

"Don't buy anything. We're here to look, not to shop," I mind-linked, knowing both of my friends were already deep within the store. It was easier that way anyway, rather than looking around and shouting out their names.

I turned around, feeling someone staring at me. My wolf internally growled, surfacing once again. I glanced at the register, seeing a female behind it and smiling my way. I ignored her, walking deeper into the store to look for my friends.

She didn't leave me alone.

She left her place at the register, following me while my wolf growled again, my eyes flashing blue as I stared at the ground. Stop doing that, I don't want to attract attention. He growled again, pushing himself back down while I felt someone tap my shoulder, my eyes flickering to see who it was.

The girl.

I internally groaned, my eyes narrowing on her. "You new around here?" She smiled, batting her eyelashes while doing so. "I guess you could say that," I replied, shoving my hands deep within my pockets again, glancing around to avoid eye contact with her.

"Mind if I show you around town?" She whispered, trying to be seductive, her fingers touching my chest. I snapped my eyes onto her, a growl forming in my throat. I backed away, keeping myself under control. "Not interested," I spat, seeing her eyes widen.

"Awe, why not? It'll be fun." She smirked, trying to touch me again, my eyes shutting closed as I tried to control my enraged wolf. "Back off," I stated lowly, hearing rushed footsteps from behind me, a hand on my shoulder. "What the hell are you doing?" I heard Jimin ask the girl, my eyes finally opening.

"Woah, hey! I'm just asking if he wants to be shown around town, but I don't mind you two tagging along." They scoffed, standing beside me while I chuckled. "Yeah?" I teased, rolling my eyes. "You don't even know my name and here you are, asking if you can show me around."

"Although," I whispered, taking a step closer to the girl, "that's just an excuse, huh? That's not what you really had in mind." Her heartbeat picked up, my ears picking up the sound. She was nervous, cheeks flushing red. "Well, maybe not..." I snickered, pushing passed her.

"For all you know, I can be some serial killer and you're here luring yourself into my trap," I stated, walking towards the door, a few other people in the store glancing our way. "Once again, not interested." My friends followed behind me, chuckling once we left the store.

"You can't deny that she was cute," Jimin teased, punching my shoulder while I looked at him, scowling. "Not my type," I stated, walking down the sidewalk, leaving them to gasp in shock. "It seems like no one is your type. When are you going to start looking for love?"

I laughed, stopping as I stared at my two friends. "Love? Please. I'm fine without a mate, I don't want one anyway." They rolled their eyes, shaking their heads. "What if you find a mate?" I glanced at Namjoon, shrugging my shoulders.

"Don't know, don't care. I highly doubt I'll find my mate here anyway." They shrugged too, walking beside me as we passed by a place that made us stop, our eyes flickering over the sign.

Club Vinyl. My eyes narrowed, a smirk forming on my face. They smirked too, nodding slowly.

"What do you two say about going to a club tonight?" They nodded, high fiving. I glanced around, taking in our surroundings so we remembered where it was for tonight. The times were on the door, the club opening up at nine p.m. We continued our walk, finally stumbling upon a forest.

We managed to sneak ourselves into the forest, running deep inside and looking for a place where we could set up a camp for tonight. It took us a while but we found something. It was a grassy area, surrounded by the forest but had enough space for the three of us to sleep in. We set our bags down, searching the forest.

There was an abandoned building not too far away, and from the looks of it, it seemed like some abandoned warehouse or factory. We didn't pay too much attention to it, continuing to search the forest. Once that was over, we sat down on the grass, staring up at the sky.

"Let's get ready, the club opens soon and we aren't exactly near it." I rolled my eyes, nodding at Namjoon's words and standing up, looking in my bag. We changed into slight fancier attire, working with what we had on us. As we left the woods and our camp, we walked down the sidewalk again, heading for the club.

"When we get there, don't get drunk and don't leave without one of us," I warned them, staring at my friends while they nodded. "We know the risks, V. Stop worrying so much." I felt another growl form in my throat, my eyes narrowing. "I don't really care what you say, I have to watch you idiots in the end."

"How are we getting in?" Namjoon asked, seeing the bouncer standing in front of the door, asking the line of people for something. We were underage, we knew that much. "We're not sneaking in, just leave it to me." They smirked, nodding as we stood in line, my hand reaching up to fix my headband and hair.

"ID?" He asked us, arms crossed over his chest, his face emotionless. "Let me guess, you won't let us in without it, huh?" He narrowed his eyes, sending a glare my way. My wolf grew angry, pushing at the surface while I closed my eyes.

"Fine by me," I said, opening my eyes and seeing the bouncer take a step back, eyes wide. "Let us in without a complaint, don't tell anyone, and I'll let you live." I laughed, whispering the words so no one around us could hear.

"Sound good?" He nodded quickly, moving away from the door while my eyes returned to their normal shade of brown, a smirk upon my face. The music hit our ears, the lyrics booming throughout the club. "She hit the bottle, now she acting like a diva."

We walked in, glancing around the club. Jimin stood to my right while Namjoon stood to my left, smirks upon our faces. "Let's have some fun tonight." They nodded, the three of us walking deeper into the club, my eyes focused on the dance floor.

In our eyes, we deserved the fun. We deserved to quit stressing over the fact that we may die tomorrow or we may have to flee from our home. We managed to leave Korea, so our worries could finally disappear. We deserved to relax, to let loose. We deserved to enjoy our night.

Yet, what I didn't know was how this night would change my life forever.

-·=»‡«=·-

They've managed to get in the club, but their nights have only just begun. What does Taehyung mean when he says that this night will change his life forever?

They're meeting the rest real soon, can you guess when and where? (; I'm sure it's obvious.

How are you liking the story so far?

I purple you 💜
