Jungkook's POV
"You really need to loosen up, Jungkook. Where do you plan on getting in life if you're so uptight?" Hoseok questioned over the phone, the annoyance laced within his voice while shuffling was heard in the background. I sighed, running a hand through my hair.
"You know, Hobi, I wouldn't be so uptight and stressed out if you weren't dragging me to places we don't belong in," I spat, holding the phone in my hand, eyes burning into the ceiling above me. The little stars that stuck to the ceiling glowed a dim blue color, sparkling in the sunlight.
"Where's the fun in that, Kook? Look, Jin's brother is the bouncer tonight, he can get us in with no trouble! Come on, it'll be fun?" I rolled my eyes, sitting up on my bed, staring at the digital clock that rests on my desk beside my bed. "What exactly is your definition of fun?"
There was a pause, a little buzzing sound filling the call, a chuckle heard from the other line. "You know what my definition of fun is, Kook." With a sigh, I nodded, knowing damn well he couldn't see it. "Yeah, well, getting drunk off my mind and hooking up with some random person isn't exactly my definition of fun."
"Look, I'm taken now, so the hooking up is totally out of the question. Besides, the school's out for a fucking week! Kook, let's enjoy our youth while we can!" With another sigh, I fell back against the sheets, the bed squeaking slightly.
"The only reason you want me to tag along is that you need someone responsible to drive your wasted asses home." There was another chuckle heard from the other line, silence filling the call for a few seconds. "Okay, fine, you caught me. Look, I'll pay you two hundred dollars to go, yeah?"
I rolled my eyes, staring at the sky outside my loft window, a groan leaving my lips. "How many times do I have to remind you that I don't want your money?" He laughed again, another pause heard. "So, you'll go?" I stood up, pushing myself off my old, used mattress, standing in front of the wide window.
"Just this once, Hoseok. If you puke on me, I'm not only taking your money but I'm also never speaking to you again." He shouted into the call, a hiss leaving my lips, my hand retracting my phone away from my ear. "Thanks, Jungkook! We'll pick you up at seven, yeah?" I hummed, ending the call without saying goodbye.
Damn Hoseok.
The time on my phone read five-thirty, another sigh leaving my lips. I had homework to do, a project to work on, and three classes to study for. Some of us were actually trying to graduate with a 4.0 GPA, after all. Dropping my phone on my bed, I groaned once more, making my way towards my closet.
If I fail physics, I'm so letting Hoseok have it.
After going through my clothes twice, I finally settled on an outfit, throwing it on my bed, and picking out some shoes. I grabbed my speaker, setting up my phone to it, clicking on my playlist, and letting the songs play on shuffle. "I don't see what the fun is," I muttered, staring down at my outfit.
"I mean, what's so fun about being surrounded by people who only want you around for your money and junk?" I scowled, entering my bathroom, towel in hand, and turning on the shower. I get a week off from school and this is how I spend my Saturday, huh?
I showered, stepping out and changing into my attire for tonight, drying my hair with the hair drier I kept under the sink. Styling it, putting on cologne, brushing my teeth again, and putting on my shoes, I was done by six-twenty. With another roll of my eyes, I pushed myself towards my desk, sitting down on the chair.
"Might as well work on something to pass the time." I opened my calculus textbook, eyes scanning over the problems, and the examples. Grabbing a clean sheet of notebook paper, and a pencil, I began to work out the problems, my music playing softly in the background.
A honk outside my loft was heard, another loud groan leaving my lips. I shut my textbook, grabbing my phone, my wallet, and my keys, heading downstairs and towards the door. I locked it, jogging towards Jin's car, hopping in the front seat.
"You're not slick. I know you let me ride shotgun so you can land on my good side tonight," I snickered, buckling up while Jin drove back onto the road. "Well, that and you just want to make out with Yoongi." Hoseok let out a chuckle, a nod seen in the mirror.
"You know me too well, Jungkook." I snickered once more, looking out at the streets, seeing us pass the shops and restaurants. "Why did we even leave so early? Doesn't the club open at, like, eight?" Yoongi hummed, kicking the back of my seat, receiving a yell from Jin.
"Nine, actually." Jin corrected, hands on the wheel and eyes focused on the road ahead. "My brother agreed to let us in and let us get drunk, but there's a cost." I scoffed loudly, my annoyance only growing while the seconds passed. "Of fucking course there is."
"We have to help set up." I laughed, glaring at Jin then at Hoseok and Yoongi. "Correction, you have to help set up. I was practically forced to come here and I'm not drinking, so, therefore-" I was cut off, hearing Yoongi speak up. "You aren't helping, yeah, yeah, it's not the first time we've heard that before."
"You want to run your mouth, Min?" He snickered, kicking the back of my seat again, my eyes rolling once more. Sometimes, I question why I associate myself with these losers, then other times I remember why. They're all I have, sadly, and they're the reason I'm still managing.
"Kook, if you shut up and stop complaining, I'll buy you whatever you want," Jin explained, clicking his turn signal on, glancing both ways and turning right. "Anything I want?" He hummed, eyes remaining focused on the road, a small smirk on his face.
"Alright fine. I'll accept that." We arrived at the club, pulling into the parking lot in the back of the club, getting off the car and shutting the doors. The back door was pushed open, one of Jin's cousins opening the door for us. "Get in before we get caught letting in teens."
"Relax, Jacob. Don't pretend like you don't let teens sneak in daily." Jacob snickered, shrugging his shoulders once we were inside. The back, where we entered, was filled to the brim with almost every single type of alcohol there was. I sighed, heading to the fridge at the end of the back room.
"This fridge is mine for the night, yeah?" They nodded, grabbing bottles of liquor and heading for the front bar, beginning to fill the counters up with the alcohol for tonight. We didn't work here, obviously, we couldn't, but we still managed to make a couple hundred every time we helped out.
This club would get pretty packed sometimes.
I grabbed a soda, popping the top off the bottle, chugging half of it down, walking towards the bar. "Don't touch the liquor," Jacob teased, punching my shoulder. "I'm the one driving these crackheads home and you're telling me not to touch the liquor? Dude."
He laughed, cleaning off the shot glasses and regular glasses, setting them down on the shelves behind us. The two hours passed rather quickly, the four of us teenagers cleaning off the dance floor, lounge area, front entrance, and bar area, letting the music begin to play within the bar.
The doors opened to the public at nine, technically, but people began to pile in at eight forty-nine. I grabbed yet another soda, taking a seat on the furthest bar stool from the crowd, leaning my forearms against the cold marble bar counter.
Hoseok was nearby, sitting on the barstool next to me, eyes meeting mine for a quick glance. "Do me a favor." I smiled, looking at him then letting it fall. "No," I spat, taking a sip of the soda and setting the bottle down. "Kook, shut the fuck up and listen." I smirked, finally meeting his eyes.
"Have fun tonight, okay? Don't sit here and mope around all night, yeah? We gotta stay here 'til closing, which is what, three or something? Have some fun, dance, have a drink or something." He flashed a genuine smile, patting my back, looking me in the eyes, our gazes never shifting.
"You know my fear about getting drunk, Hobi. I'm not letting it happen. Alcohol and I, we're not friends, okay?" Hoseok sighed, rubbing the back of my neck, shaking his head slowly. "Weren't you the one who told me you can't live in fear?"
I tensed up, sighing while my head hung low, shouts heard in the background already. "Don't bring that up, okay? I only said that because you were being ridiculous." He laughed, popping open his beer bottle and taking a drink. "No, Kook, you said it because you believe it's right. Don't live in fear."
I flashed a quick smile, sending a nod his way, glancing up at the bartender. "Okay, okay fine. We'll see, I'll think about it, yeah?" Hoseok laughed, flashing a wide, bright smile, hopping off the bar stool. He slapped my back, heading into the lounge, probably meeting up with Yoongi.
Those three were restless and wild, every chance they got, they wanted to hang out here. I've been coming here since I was thirteen, an age too young for this place. Sadly, I'm the only responsible one in this group of ours, but at the same time, they trusted me with the toughest things.
I chugged more off the soda, staring down at my watch, seeing the time flash eight fifty-five. I wonder who would show up today. The usuals, Jason, Max, and Christina, or someone new? I rolled my eyes yet again, glancing up at Jacob.
"You really dislike this place, huh?" He laughed, cleaning off the bar again, pausing to pour a shot for a customer. I hummed, smirking while I leaned against the wall, pulling my phone out of my pocket. "You could say that."
"That's a little surprising when you hang around those three. You'd think you'd turn out like them, y'know? They practically raised you, didn't they?" I nodded, scrolling through my Instagram, checking dm's, and seeing who tagged me in some posts. "Fuck no, I'm glad I didn't turn out like them."
"As am I. Stay a good kid, Kook. My cousin and his friends are pretty bad influences, but there are some worse people out there." My gaze left my phone screen, eyebrows furrowing while my features held confusion. "Just, don't hang out with the wrong crowd, okay?"
I nodded slowly, smelling the alcohol from the bar. I let out a low groan, looking back down at my phone. Jacob, he's like an older brother to me in some way, but for him to offer that type of advice to me was, well, rare. It was out of the ordinary, something that never happened.
So, why did he bring it up now?
"I'm in the backseat of that uber with my feet up." The song blared in the background, a quiet sigh leaving my lips, completely drowned out by the loud music. Sometimes, having the music this loud wasn't bad. It drowned out every thought, every concern, every worry, every fear.
Maybe that's just why people got wasted here, some leaving with random strangers and ending up who knows where? "She hit the bottle, now she acting like a diva." I glanced at the front entrance of the club, my eyes narrowing on the three males who walked in.
Aren't they a little young?
Then again, who am I to question that? "I can't love these hoes, they get inside my head." I found myself staring, my eyes flickering over the three, my mind trying to process who they were. I haven't seen them before, and I've been here too many times to know most of the people who attended this club.
They all had blond hair, dressed in black and white, for the most part. The guy on the far left was the tallest one, a black button-up dress shirt with the top two buttons left unbuttoned. He had black slacks, hands stuffed in his pockets.
The one on the far right was the shortest, a cocky-like smirk on his face, another black button-up dress shirt, black blazer, black slacks, black shoes, a few rings and I think some bracelets. He seemed awfully excited but was held back by the guy in the middle.
Oh shit.
Who was he?
"I just want these bands, I just need that brand." He also had blond hair, a white button-up shirt, a few buttons left unbuttoned, part of his chest showing. He had this circle necklace looking choker on his neck, a black blazer, black slacks and shoes, a black headband on, pushing his hair back, a few rings and earrings on. "Lately I've been sipping, sipping, living through the motion."
Holy shit. I looked away, gulping nervously, taking a drink of my soda to calm myself down. Who were they? I knew almost everyone around this area and never in my life have I seen them before. Are they new in town? I shook my head, trying to clear them from my mind, my eyes flickering back up to see them split up. "Moving state to state to state, just got back from the ocean."
My eyes couldn't leave the one in the middle, the one with the goddamn headband and a blazer thrown onto him, partially falling off his shoulder. He looked too mesmerizing to just ignore, how was I supposed to ignore him when he looked like some Greek god?
I cleared my throat, letting the music play in the background, my eyes focused on my phone in my hands. Jungkook, calm down, just remember what Hobi said. Have fun. Have fun. Don't think about them, they aren't important.
But, who were they?

Let's go. Ready for their first encounter? How will it go?
Will things get out of control, or will the trio manage to keep everything hidden and their secret safe?
