NINE
I'd go out of my way just to make sure you're okay

"Hey, Hey Louise, wake up!" She knew that voice.
"You shouldn't have hit her with such a high voltage." Another voice, a man's voice scolded the first voice.
"She's tough." The first one answered. She felt someone slap her and her eyes opened at once, she grabbed the wrist of whoever slapped her and found herself face to face with Tony Stark.
"I hate you." She told him blankly. She heard someone snickering and turned to see a man dressed all in black, he waved at her. "Oh hi!"
It was Stark's turn to laugh. " You alright kid?"
"Now tell me, why am I here? And where the hell are Peter and Happy?" She asked.
"I'm here." Happy told her, entering the room, looking worried.
"Oh good." She nodded.
"Why did you run?" Stark asked.
"Did you expect me to stay and get killed or kidnapped?" She shot back. "I wasn't going to go far, I was going to double back and find Peter, but someone ruined that plan!"
"I'm sorry about that." Stark said grudgingly. "Now come on, I've got something for you."
She got up and followed Stark out pf the room. They went to one of the labs, where an all-black, hooded suit, equipped with the latest technology and weapons was sat.
"It's all yours kid." He told her. She grinned at him.
"Thanks Mr Stark!"
"It's alright kid, now we need to find Peter." He told her. She nodded.
"How do we find him?" She asked.
"They'll have taken his suit as well, so we track it." Stark answered.
"You really don't trust him, huh." She stated.
"I do trust him. I just don't trust him not to do anything stupid. Now suit up and meet us in my office." He left the room. She looked at her suit again.
"Awesome!"
By the time she made it to Starks office, the others were looking incredibly impatient.
"What took you so long?" Stark asked as she entered.
"I took a churro break." She shrugged, holding up the bag in her hand.
"Seriously?" Happy asked, she shrugged, she would have thought he would have been used to her antics.
"Yeah, you want one?" She offered the bag to him.
"No I don't want one! "She shrugged at his clear disgust.
"Alright! Keep your ridiculously neat suit on!" She rolled her eyes. "Anyone else want one?"
"I do!" The guy she had seen earlier, whom she recognised and remembered went by the name of Clint, answered. She gave him a churro.
"Anyway, this is Louise, she is more skilled and a better fight than she looks." Stark introduced her to him, he nodded at her. She waved awkwardly. "Spiderman has been kidnapped."
"By some evil dude called Mike, apparently he lives in New Jersey." Louise said as she took a bite from a churro.
"How do you know?" Clint asked with a frown, he seemed to appreciate the churro she gave him.
"I searched him up on google." Louise held up her phone.
"And I know where in New Jersey." Stark added.
"So when do we go?" Louise asked halving the last Churro with Clint.
"I need intel on our other... situation." Stark said to Happy.
"You aren't going to tell her?" Happy asked.
Stark gave him a look and he coughed awkwardly. "I can do that." He agreed.
"Clint, would you mind giving us a hand?" Stark asked. Clint nodded and followed Stark and Louise out of the room.
"So how are we getting to New Jersey?" Louise asked as she and Clint followed Stark down another series of corridors.
"Helicopter." Stark answered.
"Of course, that won't be obvious at all." Louise muttered sarcastically.
"Where you from Kid?" Clint asked.
"Brooklyn." She answered with a shrug.
"I remember seeing an article about you in the news." He told her.
"I was in the news? That's cool." She commented.
"You didn't know?" He asked, seeming surprised.
"I don't pay attention to that stuff." She answered. "Hey what about you? Why are you here?"
"Tony asked me, I shouldn't be here. I made a deal to stay out of stuff like this, but here I am." He answered.
"Why would you help then?"
"It's a threat to my family and my friends." Clint answered. "Besides he seemed desperate."
They reached the chopper soon after, and the ride was silent, apart from the sound of the three readying their weapons.
As Louise found out, she had many new weapons, all of which she already knew how to use. She wanted to help Peter, she counted him as a friend and she didn't want weirdos running around and kidnapping him, that just wasn't cool.
They landed a few blocks away from where Stark said Mike's base was. Whilst Stark summoned his suit, Louise stood at the edge of the rooftop they were on and surveyed the street below. Clint stood beside her.
"If they hurt him, I swear to god I'll break their necks." She muttered to herself, but Clint heard her.
"You really care about him huh." He stated.
She nodded. "He's been nothing but nice to me, ya know? Most people aren't that nice to me." She answered.
"We'll find him." Clint reassured her.
She smiled at him. "I know we will."
Stark opted to fly to the location, whilst Clint and Louise decided to walk like normal people and stopped for crepes.
Upon reaching the building, Louise immediately noticed something was wrong, for one thing Stark wasn't yacking like he usually was and was nowhere to be seen for another, it was extremely easy to break in.
"I don't like this." She muttered as they immediately reached a fork in the corridor.
"you go one way; I go the other. Keep in contact." Clint told her, she nodded.
"Okay." He went down one corridor and she slowly began walking down the other. There was no security, every room she passed was empty. She was confused.
"Peter!" She called out her friend's name. she got no response and at that, she felt almost disappointed, even though she hadn't really been expecting an answer.
"Lou?" She jumped at the sound of his voice, it was sudden and had broken the silence she had become accustomed to.
"Peter? Is that you?" She called out, even though she was sure it was him.
"LOU!" She heard him shout again. She followed the sound and eventually found the right room. Peter sat inside, wearing his suit, the mask discarded on the floor, his hands tied to the chair he sat on. A shiny bruise ringed his eye.
"You look awful." She commented, before trying to get in contact with the others, to no avail.
"Lou it's a trap." Peter told her desperately, as the door closed behind her and the key clicked in the lock.
"Oh."
