Grayson’s P.O.V

She just pushed me into the water. What a bad ass. I’m totally gonna get her back. I get out the water and notice that she is about to run away when I take 2 huge steps, hug her from the back and pull her into the water with me. There are so many butterflies in my stomach at the moment. I hope I’m not blushing. Once we were out of the water I stare at how beautiful she looks and then finally say...

"What are friends for ehh?" I mimic her

We both start laughing for no reason and I listen to how rythemic her laugh sounds and stare at how beautiful her smile is. Wow! I think I really like her.

"Your laugh just makes me laugh more." She says walking out the water and helping me out.

"So does yours." I say and think about holding her hand when she asks

"We're drenched. What are we going to do now?" She asks shivering a bit

"Lucky for you I think I may have 2 sweatshirts in the car." I say giving her a wink

"Great. Thank you." She says giving me a smile.

We walk the rest of the way in silence. The good kind of silence. When we get to the car I give her the sweatshirt and ask her to get in the car and change while I wait outside. She walks out the car and DAMN she looks cute in my sweatshirt.

"Aweee it’s so big for you." I say

"It’s very comfortable." She says chuckling

"You look cute with it on." I say hoping she does’t think I’m weird.

"Thank you Gray." She says giggling

I then walk into the car to change and then ask her where she wants to eat.

"I don’t mind eating at subway." She says

"I’m down. I have never tried Subway before." I say and she looks at me like I’m crazy or something. Eyes wide and mouth open.

"What? Your really missing out on a good sandwich." She says "It’s my treat."

"No way. I’m not letting you pay." I say

"Way! It’s  my treat today for dinner. You can pay for dessert. Deal?" She asks.. She looks so cute that I honestly can’t say no. Her noodle hair still damp, her cute little dimple and her everything. OMG I’m really falling for her.

"Deal." I say fist bumping her. If only I could hold her chubby little hands.

We drive to Subway and eat our meal with a drink and a small bag of chips.

"So.. did you like it?" She asks on our drive DQ.

"I will now be visiting Subway very often." I say giving her a reassuring smile and hear her giggle

"What will you get?" I ask her when we get to DQ.

"Well.... I have never been here. So you pick for me." She says

I mimic her and give her the eyes wide and mouth open look she gave me.

"Don’t try to mimic me mister." she says smacking my shoulder.

"Here you go." I hand to her one of my favorite Sundays

"Try it!" I say giving her a nudge.

"OK!" She says giggling. "mmmmm.... " she says. "It’s amazing" She seemed to like it so much that she got some ice cream even on her cheek

"You got ice cream on your cheek." I say laughing at how adorable she looked

"Can you help me please?" She says still looking at her Ice cream.

"Of course! But first look here and say Creammm." I say and as soon as she looks up I click and post it on my story.

"You asshole! " She says. While I help her clean the ice cream from her cheek. We make eye contact when this happens and I know that I’m blushing 

"There you go." I say looking away for a minute.

We walk to the car, get in and I start driving when Prarthana says something that really warms my heart.

"Thank you so much for today. I had a lot of fun with you and I truly believe that I made a great friend today." She says giving my hand a squeeze and then letting go. Even though she told me that she thinks she made a great FRIEND today I felt good.  I liked her a lot and it’s ok if it takes a little longer for her to like me. Once the red single is here I look to her and say..

"Thank you very much also for today. I truly also had a lot of fun. Most importantly made a great friend today." I say looking her straight in the eyes.

Once we get home I see that Prarthana is asleep and the decide to just look at her for a minute. I bring out my phone and click a picture and post it on my snap story with a caption of "AWHHH😙" and then decide to wake her up.

"Heyy Prat!" wake up, we’re home. She slowly opens her eyes and gives me a smile and then gets out the car and we walk together to the elevator. Once we are in front of our apartment doors. She walks over to me and gives me a warm hug and says

"See you soon bestie. I’ll give you your sweatshirt tomorrow after laundry. Good night." She let’s go and walks into her apartment and shuts the door.

I stand there smiling like a goof because of the hug and walk into my room and fall right asleep thinking about her..💙
