Chapter Three
Cecilias side
After stepping back onto our boat the atmosphere grew less tense, however the Pirate King still seemed to creep into my mind. The crew around me gave me odd glances here and there. All I did was smile. Leo seemed to be thrilled and happy. When we sat down for dinner and we ate I seemed to grow sleepy. Excusing myself from the table I stumbled along the ships hallway. What the hell was wrong with me?
Groaning my stomach began to cramp and wrapping my arms around my stomach. That was when I fell and I blacked out. As if I was dreaming my body felt light. I felt I was in an ocean, but then that seemed to change. As my body was lifted I could feel warmth. Was Leo holding me? How sweet. He's going to be such a good husband.
Then the stabbing pains became once more. And I could hear voices above me. Suddenly my body became cold and a draft blew over me. Why can't I open my eyes? For the first time in a long time I was scared. Sinking more into the blackness I finally felt I could open my eyes. When I opened them I wasn't staring at Leo, but a worried Captain Morgan.
"Thank god your awake. I was worried we were too late."
Blinking my eyes it was then I noticed my dress off to the side and I squealed pulling the cover closer to me, "W-why am I here? Did Leo's ship crash? Oh my god!"
"Its okay Cecilia, please relax, I don't know anything about Leonardos ship, we found you drifting on a piece of wood out in the ocean. You were bleeding," Morgan spoke softly.
"Thats impossible! Bleeding? I haven't bled-"
I stopped then I hadn't bled in so long and my eyes searched the room till I seen a small blanket, no! That couldn't be! Morgan then stood up and bring the blanket over, "I'm sorry Cecilia, Chris tried to save her."
Morgan handed me my baby and I began to cry, looking down was a very small premie baby, not fully developed, "A shark nearly ate you. I'm sorry Cecilia."
I bawled harder and began to scream. No! God no! I don't know how long I sat there. But I've had to of passed out. When I woke up I felt horrible. Morgan still sat by my side and he was stroking my hair.
"Morgan, where-"
"I put her in a nice box. We'll give her a proper burial. I sent us to a direction of a nearby island. Jewels are everywhere on the island," Morgan spoke.
Holding Morgan's hand I said, "Her name is Jemma. That's what my daughters name is."
"Jemma is beautiful CC. I have some spare clothes if you'd like to change."
I nodded and Morgan helped me out of bed then helping me change into some simple trousers and one of his shirts I threw up my hair wrapping it with a bandana I then ripped pieces off my dress and out them in the box with my daughter.
"I'm sorry babygirl," I said softly swallowing my tears. Putting on some spare shoes we went out on deck and no where was Leo's ship. We stopped at the island and Morgan let me have time as I went and buried Jemma. When I came back to the ship I looked at the crew who stared at me.
"What? Never seen a female before? Where's the liquor?"
"Come with me C," Morgan spoke gently.
I felt the coldness taking over me. No more of this bullshit!
Two months later...
It didn't matter how many letters I wrote to Leo. He never came. He never looked for me. I had no idea if he was even alive. I still couldn't remember how I ended up in the water. Finishing with the laundry, I went to Morgan's room. Entering it I seen him look up in surprise, "What can I do for you?"
Shutting the door I sat across from him, "Figured you might need a drinking buddy."
"Cecilia you hate rum," Morgan chuckled.
I shrugged sitting across from him, "I don't mine rum, it's that yellow water beer shit you guys call good."
Morgan threw his head back laughing, "So how did you and Leo meet? You've hardly said words since settling in on the ship."
Sighing I spoke, "I'm older Morgan, no man hardly wants me. Being a barmaid and my dancing skills would only get me anywhere. I can't do the things I used to."
"I don't agree with that, your just as feisty if not more feisty since the last time we met."
"Well, getting in a fight and loosing a shit load of blood will do that to straighten you. That's how Leo found me. So from there I choose to escape my old life. The one thing that keeps me tied was with you, and recovering from such drunken hazez and past events I hardly remember things."
Morgan sighed and chuckling softly, "I don't remember such things as well anymore either. However, meeting you many things jogged in my skull."
I found myself smiling as Morgan put a small glass infront of me with the liquor in it poured, "Ah yes. Us. Two different ships. Meeting one night, drunken out of our minds. Then getting hitched and having a nightcap."
Morgan got this look in his eyes as if he were recalling every past detail. I could almost feel his hands on me, but just like cold water splashing on me did I escape from my mind prison, "Your an amazing woman Cecilia. Your the true definition of doing whatever the hell you want."
I found myself smiling with sincere, "I could say the same for you Morgan."
Leo's side
Sitting in my studies I help a photo of Cecilia that we had taken together at a port. Where did you go my love? Are you hurt? Are you scared? Do you hate me? Thinking back to that night after leaving the Sirius I remember having dinner with Cecilia, and of course I did drink a bit more that night. I remember Cecilia excusing herself, but I woke up that morning and she was no where in sight.
My worst fear is she's out there on a raft scared for her life. Her dress is probably torn. Her beautiful locks all in her face. Her light make up smeared as she screamed and cried. Stepping out onto the deck I look over to see a part of the railing bring fixed. Could she have fallen? Was she pushed? No! My men would never do that!
What if it were the Sirius Pirates?! Oh! Morgan! He was such a manipulative bastard! Flirting his way though women! Would they have taken and made her a slave? A part of me didn't believe that. I had men decorating the whole ship practically. They would have saved Cecilia. My men wouldn't do anything.
