Never in my life would I think that this would happen. And so suddenly. I can barely remember what I was doing before I got in the police car. The only thing I remember was telling my little sister to not worry and hugging my dad goodbye. The rest was a blurry mess up until a few seconds ago. Sorry, should I introduce myself? I'm Ash, 8th grade, tomboy, mentally screwed up, according to most people. My thoughts were so rudely interrupted by the cop stopping the car and forcing me out. She led me to a steel gate about 30 feet tall with spikes on top. She went up to the scanner and spoke into in while it scanned her face. ''Officer Charlie James, escorting Ash Jones.'' The gate opened and she led me to the door where we were greeted by a rather portly, stout man. ''Hello,I am Mr.Merkle. Let me show you where to fill out the paper work.'' He led us to a boring office room,and walked away. ''You stay here while I fill out the paperwork.'' Officer James said. I sat on the ground and waited for about 20 minutes till she came back. She was followed by a tall,dark haired women who said, ''Hello,Ash. Follow me and I will show you to your cell.'' I followed her to an elevator and we went in and she pushed the button that said 25 and we started going down. We waited for about 3 minutes,and then it stopped and the doors opened. We walked down the dank hallway that smelled very musty. We walked to a cell door and the dark haired women opened it and said, ''Skylar,this is your roommate,Ash.'' He turned around and said,''Oh,hi'' And looked away and closed his eyes. A boy roommate,huh? Guess they don't care much about privacy. They shoved me in and locked the door behind me. They both walked away towards the elevator and I was left alone with Skylar. ''Uh.....hi.'' I said awkwardly. He suddenly turned around. He was about 4 inches taller than me.
