Chapter 47
DID SOMEONE SAY FIFTH UPDATE THIS WEEK GET ON MY LEVEL BITCHES
-------------------
Jonathan thought fast, he didn't want Evan to think too much about the question he asked.
It was quick when Jonathan cupped his hands around Evan's face and kissed him, pulling their bodies closer together. It took a second, but Evan definitely began to kiss back.
Slowly, Jonathan backed up until he was able fall back onto the couch, pulling Evan down with him, their lips still locked. Surprisingly, neither of them fell off.
In a span of a few minutes, Jonathan had managed to turn his distraction into a makeout session. All was good.
Until, after a few minutes of the couple kissing, Jonathan subconsciously tugged on the bottom of Evan's shirt.
And everything just stopped. Evan pushed himself off of Jonathan and instead stood next to the couch, breathless.
"No. I don't want to do that." He said, slightly freaked out.
"Oh, I'm sorry, it's totally fine if you're not ready to-" Jonathan sat up on the couch.
"No, no it's not that, it's just that I really don't want to do that. Like ever. I probably sound like such a freak right now-"
"You don't! I just don't get what you're saying exactly-"
"I don't want to have sex! Not just with you, but with anyone, I don't know what it is I just can't bring myself to do it. I'm sorry, I'm really sorry. I just can't."
"Look, Ev, it's not that big of a deal, I'm sorry I even brought it up-"
"You should go." Evan said, looking up at him. "I'm still mad at you from earlier, and then all of this came up and I just don't think I can do this right now."
"What? Evan, no, please-"
"Seriously, you should go." Evan walked over to the door, opening it to let his boyfriend out.
"I guess I'll see you tomorrow then, Ev. I love you." Jonathan said at a last attempt of patching things with Evan.
"Love you too." Evan replied, closing the door as soon as Jonathan left.

On Monday, Craig happily walked down the sidewalk next to Tyler, his new boyfriend.
Meanwhile Jonathan just walked behind them, nervous about what he was going to say to Evan. Things didn't go as smoothly as he wanted, and he low key hoped that the present in his backpack could fix what he had done.
Sadly, the trio was not the first to arrive, and Jonathan spotted Evan typing on his phone, ignoring everyone else.
"Hey Ev." He said cautiously, inching closer to the boy who he now realized was stood away from the cluster of their friends.
Evan looked up with a passive aggressive face at him. "Hey." He spoke with an attitude Jonathan had totally expected.
Beginning to walk away, Jonathan quickly grabbed his arm to pull him back. "Wait, I got you something. An apology present." He shrugged off his backpack, catching Tyler's angry glare for just a second.
After rummaging for about a minute, he pulled something out, well, a couple of somethings.
There was a small, stuffed toy owl, a couple of music discs, and a dog tag necklace. Engraved on the necklace was the day Evan and Jonathan met, and on another tag was the day they started dating.
"I'm really sorry, Ev." Jonathan said, holding out the presents to Evan, hoping he'd take them.
Evan's expression stayed the same for a few moments, his cold stare sending shivers down Jonathan's spine, until finally it softened, and Evan accepted the gifts before pulling his boyfriend in for a hug.
"I'm sorry, Ev, I really am." Jonathan whispered into Evan's ear as they hugged.
"AWWW!" Everyone shouted at once as they watched what happened between the two.
"You two are so fucking cute!" Brock commented as Evan put on the necklace, giving Jonathan a peck on the cheek.
"I don't know, seems a bit gay to me." Tyler joked, making everyone laugh.
---------------
"You're stupid, like, really stupid." Tyler growled as soon as he got Jonathan alone.
"I know, I know, okay?! I don't know what happened, I just forgot!" Jonathan attempted to defend himself.
"Maybe you wanted to forget." Tyler said coldly.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Jonathan glared at Tyler for no reason, he had done wrong here.
"It means, that maybe you're just seeing how much it takes."
"How much it takes for what?"
"For Evan to snap! You want to see how much you can get away with before he turns on you."
"That's ridiculous."
"Then why didn't you break up with him, then? It's clear you're not as in love with him as you say you are."
"I am in love with him! Tyler, why can't you see that?"
"Because those are just words, Jonathan! Anyone can say they love someone, but to mean it is a whole other level!"
"Well then how do you know Evan means it? He could be doing the exact same thing and be stringing me along!"
"Because Evan looks at you like you're not real, like he can't believe you're there next to him! He hugs you, kisses you, lends you his jacket! He barely so much as looks at anyone else! He trusts you, Jonathan, and it's so sad because you don't deserve it."
--------------------------
The group was at Tyler's house, hanging out as they played first person shooters and other bloody and violent video games.
"Oh, who are you texting?" Evan asked Jonathan, who was sat on Tyler's desk chair.
"Just a friend from school, he's asking about homework and shit." Jonathan replied.
"Oh, okay." Evan said, not being bothered by his boyfriend's response.
Tyler immediately knew who he was talking about, it had to be Luke. Something told him to step in.
"You know, Ev, I always thought you'd be the jealous type of boyfriend." He said casually as if it was regular conversation.
Evan turned to Tyler. "There's nothing to be jealous of, Tyler. Jealously is when you want something that's not yours, but I already have it, so I'm fine."
"Oh my god, stop being cute you shit I can't focus on wrecking six year olds!" Marcel whined as he kept his eyes glued to the screen.
Tyler went back to watching his friends play, Evan pulled out his phone, and Jonathan continued to text Luke, except this time a bit unenthusiastically.
What Tyler and Evan had said really got to him, because it made what Tyler had said the other day true.
Evan really trusted him, but he didn't deserve it.
-----------------------------
"Evan, you're fine! You're wearing enough black, I don't think you need to change into black socks, you already are gonna look like a shadow at the party!" Craig shouted as Evan ran back upstairs.
"I'm grabbing my phone, dude! Chill!" Evan called back down as he entered his room and unplugged his phone from its charger. "Gotcha." He said to himself as he slid it into his pocket and headed back downstairs.
"Let's go." Craig said, checking the time to see that they were already 30 minutes late. "Fashionably late as usual." He joked, opening the door.
"Exactly." Evan said, closing the door behind them. "Why am I already regretting this decision, though?"
"Relax, Ev, it's gonna be fine. Stop worrying all the time, just text me when you're leaving, I don't need a why. Also text me if I need to beat the shit out of one of our friends because they were drinking. This is going to be the best party of your life, I guarantee it!" Craig declared as they began to make the journey to the party.
