- Massages and disobeying orders -
Third Person's POV
Six years ago
With the Prince turning fourteen and having only two years left until the day he was crowned King, the royal training had begun.
It was a lot to take in at first. The Prince ended the days overwhelmed and stressed. He had to abide by the rules. There were things he couldn't do and things he could. It was tiring and frustrating.
Fortunately for the Prince, he had his faithful companion at his side throughout the whole day. Jungkook was there to calm him down and remind him that this would only be temporary. The training they forced upon him would pay off the day he was to be crowned King.
Taehyung was grateful for that support and reassurance that Jungkook granted. He appreciated it with every inch of his being.
As he and Jungkook walked silently back down the corridors and toward the Prince's suite, he breathed a sigh and let his posture slouch. Nightfall was upon them and nearly all of the servants, maids, and guards were asleep or in their assigned quarters.
"I didn't think it'd be this difficult," Taehyung grumbled. His eyes were heavy with exhaustion and his feet ached. Jungkook walked beside him with a saddened face and worried eyes. The younger was twelve now.
"Sorry, Tae. I wish I could do it for you," Jungkook whispered. He felt terrible. He had to stand there and watch as the royals corrected every little thing that Taehyung did.
Whether it was the way he stood or the way he spoke, they were constantly snapping at him and correcting him. It's not that Taehyung was making mistakes, he just wasn't hitting the perfections that the royals desired.
It was absurd.
"How many times have I told you?" The Prince whispered tiredly. "Stop apologizing for things that aren't in your control." The younger wished to retort something in response, but the Prince did have a point. Still, how could he not feel bad?
With a sigh, the two walked in silence until they appeared at the door of Taehyung's suite. Even with his aching feet and tired body, Taehyung opened the door and held it open for the younger. Jungkook smiled at the Prince and strode forward.
It wasn't unusual for the personal maid of Taehyung's to be in his suite. In fact, it was the norm nowadays. The two had been sharing a bed for over a year now. They spent every hour of the day with one another and even slept in the same bed.
Taehyung refused to let the younger sleep on that thin mattress in the maids' quarters. He wouldn't allow it.
"I'm so tired," the Prince whined. He wasn't allowed to sit anymore. All day, from sunrise to sunset, he was forced to stand beside his father's throne and stare at the civilians that entered the palace and left.
"Anything I can do?" The younger asked. Taehyung glanced over at his friend as he removed his crown and set it by the windowsill. "It's okay. You've done more than enough today, Kooks." The younger rolled his eyes and walked over to the Prince.
"It's my job, Taehyung. I'm your maid and servant. Your personal maid and servant. Just tell me what I can do." The Prince's emotions seemed to get the best of him. He didn't care how many times people reminded him. He didn't care how many times the guards had instructed that Jungkook was to do anything and everything for the Prince.
Jungkook was more than just a maid and servant.
With a sudden action that surprised the younger, Taehyung grabbed Jungkook's shoulders and slammed their bodies against the wall beside the windows. Jungkook's eyes widened with shock as Taehyung stared down at the younger. Jungkook was shorter than Taehyung by a few inches.
"I don't give a flying fuck about that title," he growled. Yes, as the Prince grew older, his cursing became more frequent. He'd only curse behind closed doors and certainly not to his parents and Jungkook. He'd only use the words in relation to objects or titles.
"To the Kingdom, you may be my servant and maid, but to me, you are neither." Anger radiated within his blood as Taehyung pinned the younger to the wall and stood awfully close to him. Jungkook just stared. He didn't cower to the Prince or shake in fear. He knew Taehyung wouldn't do anything.
"You are more than that and you always will be more than that. You get that, don't you?" Jungkook nodded. "It isn't your job to do anything for me. I won't allow you to do anything for me. I don't fucking care if that title says you have to. You are mine and I'll decide what you do and don't do." Jungkook's eyes widened.
His?
"I understand, Taehyung," the younger murmured softly. His fingers bravely moved upward and brushed aside the fallen strands of hair that covered the Prince's eyes. "I get that you see me as more, but I'm only offering my help." Taehyung's tense body relaxed.
"Maid or not, servant or not, you know I'll do anything for you if you need me to." Taehyung knew that. Jungkook didn't care about the title. Jungkook's life was in Taehyung's hands. He was only alive to this day because Taehyung pleaded for him to stay in the kingdom.
Even with that, Taehyung has offered him kindness, respect, friendship, reassurance, care, and so much more. In return, Jungkook has promised himself to do whatever he could to make up for it all. As a friend, Jungkook wanted Taehyung to be happy. As a maid, Jungkook wanted Taehyung to be pleased.
But as someone more than a friend, he wanted Taehyung to be satisfied.
Taehyung relaxed as Jungkook continued to brush aside the strands of hair that fell over the Prince's eyes. "What can I do to help? I can see you're tensed." Taehyung nodded. He was. He was tense and aching. He was tired and frustrated with everything.
"Just lay down with me," the Prince murmured. Truthfully, the Prince desired to close the gap between the two of them and kiss him until neither of them could breathe. Until their lungs burned violently and they couldn't even stand anymore.
But he wouldn't. Not yet anyway. He wanted to make sure Jungkook wanted that.
Jungkook sighed. He knew he could do more for the Prince, but Taehyung wasn't allowing it. He wouldn't allow it.
But even Taehyung had said that Jungkook wasn't to listen to him- not in the way that the guards, maids, servants, and civilians did. So, would going against his orders truly be a bad thing?
Jungkook abided by his words for now. He kicked off his shoes, placed them neatly at the foot of the bed, opened the covers, and watched as Taehyung slowly pulled off his royal attire.
Usually, Jungkook left the room whenever Taehyung was changing, but the Prince didn't seem to care this time. He tossed the button-up shirt to the ground and displayed his bare chest to the younger. Jungkook made a gesture, a little movement to leave the room, but Taehyung eyed him with the response.
It was no. Taehyung wanted him in the room.
"I can get your-" Taehyung held his hand up and Jungkook silenced immediately. "Don't do anything. You've done so much for me so far. Don't worry about it, alright? I can get my clothes." Jungkook's eyes softened and he nodded.
"Is it okay if I sleep in this? I didn't have a chance to get my laundry done," he confessed. Taehyung just smiled and gently tossed a shirt toward Jungkook. Jungkook was smaller than Taehyung. His shirts were big enough to cover his body entirely. They went down to his mid-thighs.
"Just sleep in my shirt. It'll be fine." Jungkook nodded. He slowly began to pull off his own shirt and toss it to the ground gently. His chest was bare to the Prince and he felt his cheeks begin to warm up. They had never done this before. Sure, they were friends who knew everything about one another, but they had never changed in the same room.
And it wouldn't be such a big deal if both of them didn't have secret crushes on one another. Taehyung felt his world slow as he glances at the younger who slipped off his pants and pulled his shirt over his head.
It fit him big and Taehyung loved it.
With a shake of his head, the Prince finished changing and threw on a shirt and some shorts. Jungkook was already climbing onto the bed as Taehyung gathered their clothes and tossed it into the laundry bin.
Then, he too climbed into bed and laid beside the younger. "Taehyung, I insist. I can do anything you'd-" Taehyung turned over and wrapped an arm around the younger. Jungkook's cheeks blazed red and his eyes widened as the Prince pulled him closer.
"You being here is enough, Kook. Don't worry about me. I'm okay." Even with reassuring words, Jungkook just couldn't set his mind to believe it. He wanted to do more than just stand around and comfort Taehyung. He wanted to satisfy him.
Jungkook knew that the Prince was aching. It was obvious. He would wince when they walked too fast or sigh whenever he stretched. I bet his back hurt from standing impossibly straight for over twelve hours.
With a shake of his head, the younger sat on his knees and made his way toward the end of the bed. Taehyung was about to question the younger when Jungkook placed his thumb in the middle of Taehyung's foot and pressed.
Taehyung's eyes fluttered closed as the tension began to subside. His lips parted open in relief as Jungkook worked on massaging the tense areas. "I want to help out, okay? So let me," Jungkook demanded.
It made Taehyung's breath hitch. His eyes widened a bit as he stared at the younger. "I thought I told you that you didn't have to." He was testing the waters. Taehyung had told Jungkook to not do anything, yet here the younger was, disobeying him.
"I thought you said that I don't have to listen to you," Jungkook murmured. "At least not behind closed doors, right, Taehyung?" With a specific press into Taehyung's right foot, his lips parted as a soft moan fled from him. The tension was fading and it felt good.
Jungkook heard the sound though. His eyes widened and that same fire within him grew stronger. It burned brighter and a little violently as he watched the Prince's face contort into bliss and relief. "Yeah," Taehyung whispered, "you're right."
Jungkook smirked. To hear those words coming from Taehyung's mouth made him feel good. They made him feel as though he had some sort of control over the Prince and Jungkook loved it. It made him excited.
"Good. Now shut up and let me massage you." Taehyung couldn't even respond. His heart was pounding violently in his chest and his hormones, which were beginning to grow stronger, were attempting to get the best of him.
Nevertheless, he stayed quiet and obeyed Jungkook. He let the younger do as he pleased. He let himself relax and close his eyes as he felt relief on his tense muscles and aching feet.
About an hour had passed. Jungkook finished his massages and laid beside Taehyung who gave a tired smile at the younger. "Thank you," he whispered gratefully. "I mean it. I'm really glad you're in my life." Jungkook's heart fluttered.
"I'm glad you're in my life too, Tae," the younger whispered. Taehyung was so tempted to close the gap between them. He was so tempted to claim those pretty pink lips as his and mark the untouched boy. He was tempted to claim him as his own.
Truthfully, he already had his claim upon Jungkook, but he wanted things to be official and clear between the two.
However, he wouldn't. Not yet. He still had to wait a few more months. Possibly another year.
"Oh," the Prince whispered quietly, "I forgot to tell you. My cousin is coming into town tomorrow. Father says you and I are to show them around the kingdom and spend the day with them." Jungkook's eyes widened in disbelief. A personal maid to leave the castle? Wasn't that... forbidden...?
"I'm in charge of styling you so that you look breathtaking in front of the other royals," Taehyung explained as his eyes looked the younger up and down teasingly. "However, that shouldn't be hard to do." Jungkook's heart hammered far too quickly and loudly.
"W-Why do you say that, Taehyung?" The Prince smirked as he wrapped an arm around the younger's waist, pulled him in so that their bodies crashed against one another's, and stared deep into Jungkook's doe eyes.
"Because you're already breathtaking."

Namjoon and Jin are entering the story! Taehyung is planning to make Jungkook look like a royal instead of a maid.
Why? Because Jungkook will become one soon (:
