They're back
They're back in the lair, (Y/N) has stopped crying but is holding herself tightly as Raph continuous carrying her.
"(Y/N) what happened? Are you hurt?" April asks, after Raph sits her on the couch.
"Dood, what the shell!?" Leo grabs a hold of Raph's shoulder. "All you needed to do was get some information out of her. Not make her cry!"
"Its not my fault she's like that! April made me take her on a walk and-" Raph tries defending himself.
"Well you wouldn't of had to if you hadn't insulted her. You can't speak to a girl like that."
The noise began to become less and less as (Y/N) made her way into her room. She grabbed her string bag after putting the extra clothes inside. "I stayed here for way too long." She muttered to herself.
She peaks outside her door. They had taken their argument to the dojo, Sensei obviously giving them a good scolding.
"And where is she now?" Splinter asked.
"Her room probably." Raph muttered.
(Y/N) growled, feeling a new hate grow inside for him. She continued walking, jumping over the small gate and running. Her feet splash into the sewage water. She's still running, not exactly sure where, but anywhere but here would be fine. "I didn't come here for this. I came here for Jake." She hammers that statement into her head. She eventually finds a ladder, pushing up the sewer lid, finding herself in an empty alley way.
Crap I left my hoodie!
How was she to fend for herself now? Not like it would do much good. The turtles would probably find her more easily.
Raph knocks on the door. "(Y/N)?" He whispers. "You asleep?" He sighs, leaning against the opposite door. "I'm sorry about what you saw today. I know that shit doesn't really happen in Pennsylvania." He growled to himself. He sat there for a few more moments thinking. "Sometimes, I really hate it here. It's like we- my brothers and I are monsters- but if only you can see what happens on the surface everyday. Y/N?" He knew she snored a bit. So why wasn't there any- He opened the door. "She's gone." He whispered to himself. He walks over to her bed, looking at the small notebook. "Finally." He mutters. Eyes scanning the pages.
I've never written in a journel before, but Raph said this was a good idea. So this is gonna be about my nightmares, huh? Kind of embarrassing, not going to lie.
Well last night I had a frequent one. It was about my brother, Jake.
Raph swallowed for a second, finding himself relating already. He didn't know who Jake was. He didn't even know his age. All he knew was that he was a brother. That's all Raph needed to take the journel seriously.
I came here for Jake. All I came here for was to find that van that took him. There are hundreds and hundreds of vans. It's stupid isn't it?
"No." Raph muttered, "Not in the slightest."
I'm off track right now. I'm staying with these turtle guys and it's my fault. Now I can't find Jake. It's been nearly a month, so there's still a chance, right? I mean I would never imagine that these creatures would exist, how much harder would it be to believe that Jake is still alive?
"Well that's a hard pill to swallow."
I guess all I'm saying is... I need to leave. As much as these turtles have been so kind and generous to me- even Raph though he beat my ass- I have to go. Every moment I spend here might be another second that Jake isn't alive. The plan is to break into the statue of liberty.
"Well look who's cocky."
I know, I know. It's my cockiness that got me in this mess. But I don't have anything to lose. I will find Jake and then I can go back home to mom. That is if- ok I'm trusting this journel too much. All I need is to get to high ground. I found some binoculars in Donnie's room,
"He's not going to like that."
That way, I can see if those men are there again. Call me crazy, but I think they're sometype of robot alien things.
"Trust me, you're not crazy."
Welp. That's it. All my worries and all that jazz. Hope it was "entertaining."
Raph bit his lip in contemplation. Should he tell his brothers? He could easily get to the surface no problem without anyone having to join but... Should he go alone? As Donnie would say,
What were the chances?
New York City was huge. But men in a white van? Could it...
No. They were gone, right?
But who else?
Raph nodded. The more he ran it through his mind the more it made sense. It had to have been TCRI, the kraang. They had kidnapped April in the past, was Jake the same? Was there something "special" about Jake that those sick aliens wanted?
Raph swallowed bitterly. And here he thought that they were gone.
"Guys!" No longer could he imagine going at it alone. "The kraang! They're back I-"
As soon as he spoke those words, they laughed. "Raph, they're gone remember?" Leo laughed.
"Yea. I wiped 'em out with my mad genius skills!" Concluded Mikey.
"But Y/N, her journel." Raph tried to prove his point, taking the notebook and shoving it into their faces.
"Y-you're reading Y/N's diary? Does she even know you have it?" Donnatello stammered, waiting and watching behind Raph for anyone to come screaming with a fit.
"No. I mean- This contains the answers we were looking for! She has a younger brother named Jake who was taken by the kraang!"
"Wait a sec-" Donnie ushered for the book to be handed to him. "Raph's right."
"You must go!" Sensei called. "As from what I have heard, Y/N doesn't know what she is facing."
"But if the kraang are back-" Leo muttered to himself, "Are we ever going to be able to just- get rid of them! It's been months!"
"Hmm. There is no way way to truly know. What I do know is Y/N is looking for her brother and probably won't stop. Your priority right now is to bring Y/N back."
"Hai Sensei." They bowed, then running out toward the exit.
Y/N stood at the base of the statue. It was still open, so she looked like an everyday tourist. Once the top, she took the binoculars and scanned the city.
The empire state building would have been better.
Her eyes widen as on the top of it, she could see four figures staring back at her through binoculars. The one with the orange mask waves.
"How did they-" Then she remembers she had left her notebook, which was full of vital information. Or perhaps they didn't read it and there simply was a tracking device on her. She frisked herself desperately, trying to not look suspicious to the people around her. All she knew right now was she was safe.
There was no way they were going to this statue. Too many people would see them.
She muttered then looking to her left. There was a school group of what looked to be middle schoolers. She grinned, looking back at the empire state building then walking into the small crowd.
"Crap, crap, crap!" Raph muttered. "I can't see her."
"Well lucky for you you can at least see something!" Donnie yelled, "She stole my binoculars!"
"Wait!" Mikey said, "Didn't she have a string bag or something that she carried with her?"
"Yea! She did!" exclaimed Leo.
"I don't understand why she won't just let us help her." Raph muttered.
"She didn't know we knew who kidnapped her brother." Leo said,
"But we told her about the kraang!" Raph exclaimed.
"But she didn't know they were called that!" Donnie yelled. "Good grief I'm getting a headache."
"It's just a misunderstanding." Mikey shrugged. "Guys, y'all needa chill."
"The kraang is back! Tell me, what's so chill about that?!" Raph yelled.
"Umm... we get to save the world again?"
Raph gave an annoyed sigh before looking back through the binoculars. "Shell, I lost her."
"Does she have any info on her about the van? Perhaps like a license plate?" Donnatello asked, "I could track that and perhaps get more info on what the kraang's plan is."
"Well she came here from Pennsylvania." Raph said. "And if she knows the van is in NY I can nearly bet she has it down."
"Then our priority is to get Y/N. Sooner we do that, the sooner we can kick some kraang."
"Only problem is..." Raph says "How are we supposed to seperate her from that group of middle schoolars?"
