My mind had been going in and out of consciousness for a while.My body ached from the electricity.

I tried moving my hands but it was no use.Suddenly,I heard a loud crash and voices.

My head snapped up as my heartbeat quickened.Joker come into the room as I heard more yelling not far off.

"Don't try anything."He growled as he untied me.My mind scattered over the things I could do.

I was too weak to transform but I still had one thing.I side kicked Joker as I tried running towards the door.

He was faster though.He slammed it shut as he pulled out his gun.

"You're going to regret that foxy."He aimed it at my chest.Any normal person would have cowered in fear but I remembered what my father had said to me.

"Don't let them see they get to you.That would only make hurting you more enjoyable."I glared at Joker head on.

No way was I going to cave in to that creep.Just then the door slammed open as I took a step back.

Joker aimed his gun at the person but they grabbed it and slid it far away from him.Another person came in behind them.

I took a few steps back."Relax.We aren't here to hurt you.We're the good guys."

I glared as I looked them up and down."Ya well I've heard that before."

"Would we really rescue you if we were going to harm you?"I glanced over to the other person.He had dark skin and light hair.

His voice was very calm and soothing making me slightly relax.I shrug."It is Gothom."

More people walked in."Superboy,keep an eye on Joker."The boy nodded as he pushed Joker out of the room followed by a girl with short hair and green skin.

Everyone looked back at me.I gulped."Are you alright?"

I glanced over to see a girl dressed in a yellow suit with wings.I gave a short nod.

"What's your name?"Don't sound scared.Don't sound scared.

"C..Caitie."Nice going.

"Would you mind coming with us,Caitie?"I looked over to the dark skinned man.

"Where?"I asked suspiciously.

He sighed."We just need to ask you a few questions.We promise nothing will happen to you."

I knew they would not be taking a no for an answer,especially with what I'm guessing is the whole team is there.

I nodded slowly.I followed them out as I rubbed my arms feeling vulnerable.

A kid around my age walked over to me.He had the flash symbol but was wearing red and yellow.

"You doing okay?"He smiled.I gave a short nod before looking at the forest again.

"I'm kid flash by the way!And you are?"I averted my eyes towards him.

"Caitie."I answered simply.Before he could say anything else,a ship revealed itself at the entrance of the woods.So much for regular city kid.
