Chapter 52
Chapter 52
A soft instrumental music played in the back. When the trumpet blew, the witches stood up and murmured a prayer they had been taught. The words were from a foreign language and I didn't understand them.
Once they were done, I lowered down on the throne and Cordelia picked up the crown from the bed of branches and bought it to my head. I closed my eyes and tightly held the sides of the chair.
It was all going to be over.
My heart thumped and tears winded up at the back of my eyes. When the crown of witches touched me, a wave of emotions crossed by and I gasped lowly.
I opened my eyes and found every witch in the hall looking up at me, as their Queen but that wasn't determined just yet. I still had to drink from the Goblet and that would show everyone I was the right one.
The Goblet was placed inside a metal box with a velvet cloth around it. Jacqueline unlocked the box and pulled out the goblet. She wasn't aware of this tradition either as it was only practiced in this coven.
Wives of the Spiral Tree.
"Just a sip," Jacqueline whispered, handing me the Goblet.
I didn't look or smell, instead, bought it to my lips and took a small sip of the liquid inside. It tasted like dry leaves and seaweed.
Ew.
It took me a second to swallow it down and when I did, I handed the Goblet back and waited for the liquid to pump through me, either killing me or strengthening me.
The minute we all were waiting for was here. The witches stared at me eagerly and Luciano came behind me. He placed a hand over my shoulder.
"It's okay."
I felt it, the liquid coursing and burning through me like a hot molten. The heat travelled to my head before stopping and turning cold. I parted my lips and closed my eyes.
When opening them, the world in front of me was red for a split-second. The color dived back in and strength streamed into my body. Suddenly, a smile bursted out of me and I glanced at Jacqueline who seemed proud.
She caught a sight of a smile before lowering down to her knee to bow to me. The witches shifted, doing the same and everyone apart from the wolves bowed and submitted to me, taking me as their Queen.
It was done.
I won this.
The crown was settled on my head, the Goblet had chosen me and the witches had accepted me.
I couldn't have done any of this without the help of the two elderly woman I had by my side.

Lunaris was my second home now but I couldn't stay there right away. I spoke to a few witches in the town and small matters were discussed before I left to go back home, where I would see my daughter. While leaving, I asked for all operations against the werewolves to be stopped immediately, bringing the wrong magic to an end.
On my way out, I didn't encounter with Lisa or Damon again. They vanished, into the thin air just as I expected them too. However, I didn't want to banish Damon from his own coven as he did no wrong to me but I couldn't allow him to create problems either.
Snapping back into reality, I shook my head and erased my mind off all the problems before feeding my hungry mouth to Luciano's in the back of the car we came in. He pushed up the dress I wore and slid his rough hands across my thigh before stopping and holding it hard till I moaned.
I was being adored.
"My Queen." He whispered, nibbling my ear.
"Mhm, that's right."
"Just for tonight..."
When his mouth moved away, I flattened on the car seat and threw my legs over his shoulder.
"So, what are you going to do to me?" I asked, legs apart and undies clear in front of me.
His head dipped down between my thighs, "Right now, I'm going to devour you." He kissed my pussy, just above the underwear and rolled the strings of it around his finger. "But, we will have to wait till we get home." He pulled away.
"What?! Why?" I jerked forward, pouting.
"Because we can't have sex everywhere, Red." He said, flicking his finger over my nose.
"Why? We are married." I lowered my voice, making it sound like a whisper of lust.
"I know but patience. You need to rest and so did I." He yawned and leaned back against the seat.
I pushed my hands underneath my chin and stared at him for as long as this journey was. We were already half-way through and I couldn't wait to get on the bed with Luciano.
His eyes slowly began closing but I still didn't stop glaring just as he did when we arrived here. Suddenly, he coughed and then again. My face tensed up and I moved back.
"Is everything okay?"
"Yeah, yeah," He smacked his chest hard.
"Luciano," I grabbed his arm out of worry. I could tell when something was wrong and it was right now.
"I'm fine—" He could barely complete the sentence without coughing.
"Stop the car!" I yelled to the driver and he did.
The car came to an abrupt stop in the middle of nowhere and Luciano hopped out, still coughing out loud. I followed him and by the reach I reached him, he was coughing blood.
Blood.
