*3rd POV*

Tulio and Linda were in the Amazon. "Amazon expedition: Day seven. 2,000 miles from Rio. We've reached the center of the rain forest. We are surrounded by plants and animals... struggling for survival... as we glide effortlessly down the river." Tulio said as Linda was grunting as she paddled.

"Effortless for you." Linda said as she saw a butterfly. "How pretty." She said before something jumped out of the water and ate the butterfly. "Oh, spit it out, spit it out! Oh!" Linda said disappointed.

"We are near the nesting grounds of the Amazonian wood quail. Odontophorus gujanensis." Tulio said as Linda pulled the boat onto land. "Six months ago, we rescued this little bird from smugglers. It was sick, malnourished, with a broken leg. But now, my trusty assistant--" Tulio said as he was filming when Linda gave him a look.

"I mean, loving wife and colleague-- will release her back to her natural habitat. It's okay. You can go now. Just like this." Linda said flapping her hands like wings. "Let me talk to her." Tulio said before imitating a bird call. The bird ran out afraid.

She squawks at the humans. "Do you think she's gonna be all right?" Linda asked as she climbed back into the boat as her and Tulio began to float off. "Mmm, give it some time." Tulio said as the bird chirped.

"Mmm. Welcome home." Linda said watching with Tulio. The bird began squawking at Linda and Tulio. "Wait a minute. What-- what is she saying, Tulio?" Linda asked her husband. Tulio sighed. "It's just hard for her to say good-bye.

"No, I think-- I think she's trying to warn us." Linda said worried. Tulio began to laugh. "No, no, no, Linda. It might be some sort of mating dance." Tulio said a little too casually. She kept squawking before giving up.

Linda looked ahead. "Tulio! Look!" Linda said as Tulio faced the camera to show a small drop. "Paddle! Now!" Linda demanded. Tulio grabbed his paddle. "Okay, okay, okay. Paddle." Tulio said but lost his paddle.

Linda shrieks as they go down. "Watch out!" Tulio said. "Paddle, paddle! Backward, backward! To the right! No, no, no, left! Forward, forward! No, no, no, no!" Tulio said panicked. "Make up your mind, Tulio!" Linda said as she tried to shove her paddle between rocks, only to have them break.

"Cheese and sprinkles!" Linda said before they both scream as they kept going and hitting rocks. "Oh, no!" Linda said as they went towards a waterfall and fell down the waterfall. Causing them to scream.

Tulio stood up and looked for Linda. "Linda! Linda!" Tulio shouted worried. "Tulio!" Linda said getting up and coughing up water. They ran to each other and held each other close, when they heard a bird calling. Linda gasps.

They looked around as they heard the squawking. Tulio held his camera up. "Tulio, is that a--" Linda said but was cut off by Tulio holding up his hand. Suddenly a bird flew by causing them both to hit the ground, and Tulio's camera to fall into the river.

A blue feather landed on the ground, causing them both to gasp. Tulio picked it up and put it in his mouth. He gasped. "Linda! This is incredible!" Tulio said as they began cheering at what they had founding.

*My POV*

"Ha-ha! Whoo-hoo!" Jewel and I cheered as we carried Brazil nuts as we flew. We flew through Rio as we made our way home. We passed by Fernando, the human boy Linda and Tulio adopted.

"Good morning, Jewel, Izzy." He said waving and we squawked at him in greeting. We flew to the nest that we created for both our families. Nico wasn't home since he's working on the Carnival auditions.

"Hey. Everyone, look what we found." Jewel said as we pant a little. "Blu?" Jewel asked peering her head in. "Kids?" I asked peering into the other holes. "Where did everybody--" Jewel began but we heard Blu, causing us to turn to see them inside the house.

"Okay. Who's ready for some breakfast?" Blu asked as we saw him walking on the counter. We sighed. "Unbelievable." I said as we saw.

*3rd POV*

Blu was making pancakes as Tiago, Bia, Carla, and Lily were with him. "Did you know that these whole wheat pancakes... have twice the vitamins and minerals of regular pancakes?" Bia asked as Carla put whipped cream on the pancakes.

"And with the blueberries, it's four times as tasty." Blu said before he flew over to the fridge and opened it to get the blueberries. "Uncle Blu--" Lily said but stopped herself as Blu saw that the blueberries weren't in the fridge.

"Hey, where are the blueberries?" Blu asked confused. "Oh, Dad! Lookin' for this?" Tiago said as he had the blueberries. "Bring it." Blu said as Tiago kicked a blueberry to Blu who began kicking it around.

"It's down to the final minutes. He's got magic in his feet. He shoots. He scores!" Blu said as Bia, Carla, and Lily cheer. "Goal! Oh, yeah, I got it. I'm good." Blu said happily. "Heads up, Dad." Tiago said as he began rapidly kicking blueberries towards his father.

"Uh-oh." Blu said as he suddenly sent the pancake he had up and Tiago went to grab it, but it slammed him into the wall. "Awesome." Tiago said groaning before he flew with the pancake on him, as he saw Jewel and Izzy. "Hi, Mom, Aunt Izzy." Tiago said.

*My POV*

Jewel and I looked at Tiago in disbelief before we looked at Blu annoyed. "Busted." Carla said. "Time to go." Lily said her, Bia, and Carla flew away to not pay attention. "Oh, hey, honey, Izz. Hey. You hungry?" Blu asked trying to play off what just happened.

"Blu, we talked about this." Jewel said as we flew inside towards him. "Did we? I don't-- Yeah. So, um, what do you got there?" Blu asked looking at the Brazil nuts. "Breakfast?" I asked holding mine up.

"That's-- that's funny. But seriously, what is that?" Blu asked as he tapped Jewel's. "It's a Brazil nut. We never thought we'd find two this close to the city. We wanna show the kids how to open one." Jewel said.

"You mean like this?" Tiago asked opening a can of Brazil nuts. "Uncle Blu already showed us." Lily said as Tiago buried his head in the can. Jewel and I looked at Blu annoyed. "Ah." Blu said before changing his expression.

"Wait, wait. Wait, go back. Mom! Dad! You're on TV!" Carla said causing us to turn to the screen. "Dr. Tulio Monterio, the Bird Man of Brazil, announced an important discovery today." A news reporter said.

"We believe we have encountered a wild blue Spix's macaw... deep in the Amazon jungle." Tulio said on screen, causing Jewel and I to perk up a little at a small memory in our minds. "The blue Spix macaw was thought to be practically extinct... with the last remaining family living under protection... at the Blu Bird Sanctuary in Rio de Janerio." The news reporter said.

"We're famous!" Carla said happily. "If these birds can be found, their home will be saved." The news reporter said. "There may be a whole flock out there. And if there is, we will find them and protect them." Tulio said as we saw him pull Linda close.

"Hi, Blu!" Linda said waving to the camera. "Hi, Linda!" Blu said happily. "We're not the only ones. There are more of us out there." Jewel said happily as I held Lily close. "Yeah, that's great. I'm sure they're--" Blu began but was cut off.

"All this time I thought-- I-I thought we were alone." Jewel said sadly as that memory flashed through our heads. "Hey, it hasn't been all bad." Blu said. "Oh. Of course not. But just imagine there was a whole flock of us." Jewel said before flying to the window and opening the shutters.

"How amazing would that be?" Jewel asked. "We gotta do something." I said firmly. "We do?" Blu asked confused. "Yeah, we have to fly to the Amazon and help Linda and Tulio find them!" Jewel said happily.

"Whoa. Whoa, whoa. We can't just pack up and go." Blu said. "Why not? It's about time this family got a little air under our wings. Look at us. iPods. TV. Pancakes?" Jewel said. "Mom!" Bia said.

"We're not people. We're birds." I added squeezing Lily. "We have to get out into the wild and be birds, Blu. Let the kids connect to their roots. Show them what Izzy and I had. They need this. We need this. Come on, Blu. What do you say?" Jewel asked.

"Uh, I don't know. Uh, maybe." Blu said a little hesitantly. "He didn't say no." Carla said. "Which means he practically said yes." Bia added happily. "Hey, wait a sec--" Blu said but was cut off. "It's gonna be so much fun!" Jewel and I said happily.

"Yeah! Whoo-hoo! We're going to the Amazon!" Tiago said happily, before realizing. "Wait. What's the Amazon?" Tiago asked.

*3rd POV*

"The Amazon is one of Earth's most endangered ecosystems due to illegal logging and farming. Let's hope Dr. Monterio and his team can find these rare birds so their home can be saved." The news reported said.

"There may be a whole flock out there. And if there is, we will find them and protect them." Tulio said before a remote was thrown at the TV, causing it to break. "Tree huggers. Get my boat ready. I need to deal with this personally." Big Boss said as he walked.

| Meanwhile |

Birds were vocalizing as they practiced for a spot in the Carnival show. "Next!" A voice said. "That would be me. Okay, everybody can go home now. You're looking at the next king of Carnival." The big bird said before flying off. "Hey, big bird. Break a leg." Luiz said before the big bird slipped on Luiz's drool. "Walk it off, buddy!" Luiz said happily.

"You can't see it coming, you won't find it anywhere, else." Rafael's wife, Eva sang very off key. Rafael, Pedro, and Nico were sitting through it as she got done singing. "Oh! Brava! Ha-ha! Brava! Brava! That was amazing! Eva, darling, you hit every note. Huh, guys?" Rafael asked facing Nico and Pedro.

"Yeah, yeah. Along with a bunch of notes I never heard of." Pedro said. "Rafi!" Eva said looking at her husband. "Do-Do-Don't worry. I'll talk to them. We'll find you the perfect spot for you." Rafael said.

"Huh. Antarctica maybe." Nico whispered to Pedro. "You'd better. Ciao, ciao! Bye, boys." Eva said before flying off. "See you back at home, my tasty mango!" Rafael said. Nico sighed. "None of these acts are inspiring. I'm just not inspired. Carnival is right around the corner, and our reputations are on the line." Nico said.

"Copy that. We need something that can make us wiggle. Something to make us jiggle. We need something that pops. Pop, pop, pop, pop, pop. You know what "pop" is backwards? Pop!" Pedro said frustrated.

"Next." Nico said, and on cue, Blu slid in due to Luiz's drool. "Blu?" Pedro and Nico asked confused. "Sorry, bro!" Luiz said. "It's okay, Luiz. Good to see you too. Ugh!" Blu said as he walked towards Nico and Pedro who flew down to him.

"Listen, Blu, we are looking for a singer, a danger--the whole package." Pedro said. "Yeah, and you're more of a mumbler-snuffler. Mi amor moves better than you. You catch my drift?" Nico asked.

"Oh. No, no, no, no, no. I'm not here to audition. Uh, I've got news. I am going to the Amazon. Yay." Blu said and suddenly they all, including Luiz was on the roof. "The Amazon? Wow, that's wild." Luiz said.

"Yeah, yeah. Jewel thinks it'll be good for us. Izzy wants to come too. Uh, how--how wild?" Blu asked Luiz. "Real wild." Luiz said. "They got mosquitoes that suck your blood like Slurpees." Pedro said before making sucking sounds.

"Snakes that can swallow you whole." Nico said before making munching sounds. "Flesh-eating piranhas... that... eat... flesh." Luiz said slurping his drool. "Oh, great. That sounds really nice. I'm not going." Blu said as he tried to walk away but Rafael stopped him.

"Guys, guys, guys. Blu, you have nothing to worry about. All those stories are highly exaggerated." Rafael said. "You think so?" Blu asked. "Of course! If this is important to Jewel, just do it. And if it's important for Izzy, just do it as well." Rafael said nudging Nico.

"Happy wife, happy life. Remember that." Rafael said looking at both of them. "Okay. Yeah, you're right. You know, a little family vacation might actually be fun. Plus, it's not like it's forever." Blu said smiling as Nico agreed.

"That's the spirit." Rafael said. "Yeah, okay. Thanks, guys. See you in a couple of weeks." Blu said before flying off. "I should probably go after him." Nico said before flying off after him slowly. "Safe travels, Blu." Rafael said.

"Bring me back a souvenir." Luiz said happily. "Dawg, he ain't coming back. He and Nico are de-ea-ead!" Pedro said watching Blu and Nico fly off.

| Later |

"Amazon! Let's go! Come on, Dad! Come on!" Tiago said as he had goggles on. "Okay. Bug spray? Check. Water purifier? Check. Band-Aids? I feel like I'm forgetting something." Blu said as his son looking into his father's fanny pack.

"Oh, cool! The all-in-one adventurer's knife! I'll be in charge of this!" Tiago said happily before Blu took it from him. "That's not for you." Blu said. "Dad, look at this. Did you know the Amazon has snakes that can swallow you whole?" Bia asked her father.

"Actually, Bia, all those stories are highly exaggerated." Blu told his daughter. "No, really. Look." Bia said before facing the book towards him, which had a 3D snake. "Aw, that's sick." Tiago said taking the book from his sister, when Jewel and Izzy arrived with Lily.

*My POV*

"All right, we ready to go?" Jewel asked. "A fanny pack?" I asked Blu looking at him. "Yeah. Linda gave it to me. I need it for the G.P.S. Where's the G.P.S?" Blu asked before looking around. "Carla, we're leaving." Jewel called out to her other daughter.

"I'm not going. It's going to be lame." Carla called out from her room. Jewel sighs. "Okay, here it is. The voice recognition makes it totally foolproof. Here, watch this." Blu said to Jewel and I as he cleared his throat.

"Find Linda and Tulio." Blu said. "Searching for Dinner in Tokyo." The GPS voice said. "Oh, okay. Well, actually, that does sound like a nice suggestion." Blu said. "You trust this woman?" Jewel asked her husband.

"Yes, I do." Blu said mimicking the computers voice. "Hey, wait up, family! I'm coming too!" Rafael said as he laughing and slides over to us. "Don't worry, buddy. We got your back." Rafael said to Blu.

"Eva let you come?" I asked. "Sure. I promised her a spot in the Carnival show." Rafael said. "You did what?" Nico asked as we turned to face them. "You guys are late." Rafael said. "Clock late. But musician early." Nico said as him and Pedro high-five.

"Dad!" Lily said happily and flying over to him, hugging him causing him to laugh happily. "Wait. You guys are coming?" Carla asked happily as she appeared. "We wouldn't miss it for the world. We gonna scout the wildest, coolest talent in the jungle." Pedro said.

"It's our inspiration for this year's Carnival show. Amazon Untamed." Nico said as he threw his hat in the air, and it landed on his head. "Cool! I mean-- pfft!-- yeah. Okay, I guess I'll go." Carla said trying to play it cool.

"Amazon jungle or bust, baby!" Nico said as he grabbed my wing causing me to fly in the air with him and Lily. "Who is ready for a tropical adventure?" Pedro asked happily. We all cheered as we flew off without Blu. Blu shortly followed after us.
