Enchanted Forest

Natalia's POV

"And who said, that every wish, would be heard and answered, when wished on the morning star?" I sang. "And somebody followed that, and someone believed it, and look what it's done so far." "Do you ever stop singing?" Said Jared as we walked down the path. "What? It's a good song." I said.

Then, we heard someone up ahead. We both hid in the bushes. "Help!" Someone shouted. "Somebody please!" It was a man who's wagon had flipped over on him. His leg was stuck. "We have to help him!" I whispered. "What if he works for the Queen?" Jared asked. "It doesn't matter!" I said. "He's hurt!" He rolled his eyes. "Fine." He said.

We got out of the bushes and helped the man. "Thank you." He said. But when he stood up, we were knocked out.

When we woke up, Jared and I were tied to chairs sitting with our backs to each other. "Jared?" I said. I squeezed his hand. "It's okay." He said. "We'll be okay."

"Look who's awake." Said a voice. It was the man that we helped out. Behind him were a pair of twin boys. "Who are you?" Asked Jared. "Oh, I'm sorry." He said. "I'm Flynn Ryder."

"Well Flynn Ryder." I said. "You better explain why we're here you son of a-" "Feisty aren't you?" Said Flynn. "Well, I introduced myself, so I think it's only fair if you do the same."

He put his knife to my throat. It was old, but he seemed to handle it well. "What's your name?" He asked. "Clarissa Delilah Turner." I said. "Your real name." He said. "What?" I asked. He took his knife from my throat, but was still inches from my face. "You always tell people you don't know your last name and Turner is a substitute." Said Flynn. "But you know your last name don't you? Tell me."

I stared into his eyes and spit in his face. He got up and wiped off his face. "Fine. Tyler!" One of the twins stepped over to Jared. He held up a small vial with blue liquid in it. "That is a sleeping curse." Said Flynn. "One sip, and Jared will be put under a deep sleep in which he won't ever wake up."

Tyler was about to shove the potion down Jared's throat. "Jones!" I shouted. Tyler stopped and got up. "What?" Asked Flynn. I sighed. "Our last name is Jones." I said. "So you are the missing Jones twins." Said Flynn. "Your father is Killian Jones?" "No." Said Jared. "Our parents were from a land without magic."

"They're still the ones he wants." Whispered the other twin. Flynn walked over to Jared, but Jared punched him in the face. He had wiggled out of the ropes. Flynn fell backwards. The twins came toward me, but I kicked them in the stomach while Jared untied my ropes.

We went to the only window we saw. We looked out and saw we were in a tower. "C'mon." Said Jared. "We'll have to climb down."

I started breathing heavily. I was terrified of heights."I can't." I said. "You have to." Said Jared. He held out his hand. "Do you trust me?" "Yes-" "Than jump!" He said and grabbed my hand. We jumped out the window.

I screamed as we fell, but Jared grabbed a tree branch on the way down. I kept an iron grip on Jared's wrist. "Jared-" "Shh!" Said Jared, cutting me off.

Flynn and the twins climbed down from the tower. "Where did they go?" Said Flynn. "They jumped out the window." Said the other twin, Taylor I think his name was. "They couldn't have jumped out that high and lived." Said Flynn. "Find them!"

"Halt!" Said a voice. It was a group of Dark Knights. I was hardly breathing. "It's them alright." He said. The Knights grabbed Flynn and the twins. "Your under arrest." He said.

Once they were gone, Jared and I jumped down. "That was-" "Crazy." I finished. "Flynn said someone wanted us." Said Jared. "Who?" "I don't know." I said. "But whoever it is, they're after us. And our missing parents. We can't tell anyone our real last names. To protect our parents and us."

"Can't be too hard." Said Jared. "So where to now my dear sister?" "Wherever the wind takes us my dear brother." I said. I sighed. "Things are changing. For better, or for worse."
