It's our last day and I've been crying all morning. They take her and I don't see her for another week. I really can't believe they're doing this to me. I'm still shook from Nubia ratting on me. All I wanted was a family. Was that to much? What did I do to deserve this?

The hospital door opened and in came Renee, one of the sisters whose name was Valerie, and the nurse I was talking to the whole time I was here. Her name is Cyan.

A smile was planted on Renee's face but Valerie looked butt hurt about something. I don't care what. She should honestly see the wrong her mother is doing.

Maybe she's the nice sister.

"The baby is coming home," Renee cheered. Valerie stood in the corner while Cyan was dressing Empriss.

I've grown a small liking to the name Empriss. It's cute don't get me wrong but I still wanted to name her Kaelee.

Cyan handed me the baby but Renee quickly walked to my bed side causing me to give her a confused as look.

"Back yo ass up.." I said.

"Watch your mouth,"

"I ain't got to watch shit." I spat back. She sighed in annoyance. She backed away a little bit and stared at me as I picked up the baby.

"Hey mama's baby.." I smiled. She made the cutest baby noise. I played with her and she was smiling the whole time.

"It's time to go.." She came over to me and reached for the baby, "No you said at two o'clock you were taking her it's 1:55," I said. I'm deadass serious. I'm spending every minute down to every second with my daughter, fuck her.

"Five minut-"

"Mom.." Valerie spoke up.

"Yes dear?" She turned to face her.

Valerie looked as if she was choking on her words, "You...." she started.

"I what?"

Valerie sighed, "You shouldn't do this..." She said softly.

Her mom looked stunned. Even me and Cyan did. This is how she truly felt?

"I'm doing it-"

"Mom you know it's not right!" She yelled. "You can't force Empriss to stay away from her mother... that is wrong and you know it!" She said.

"I don't care what you, her, or anyone has to say. We've already agreed on this Val-"

"Momma how would you feel if your father's family forced your mother to stay away from you? Two days AFTER being born?" She asked.

Her mom was silenced, "don't you dare speak on my parents young lady. You know nothing-"

"I know everything mom! I went along with this but you are making her pay for something she couldn't control... Ricky Raped her!" Valerie yelled.

I looked down while Cyan comforted me. Tears brimmed my eyes just thinking about it again.

"Shut up.." Renee threatened.

"Ricky raped her mother and you should understand she had a damn choice to either keep the baby or abort her! And look what she did..." She gestured towards the baby. I looked at her and she stared me into my eyes.

"Momma she is hurt... you're taking away everything she has. All she wanted was to have her baby and her brother in peace. It's not her fault Ricky is a low down piece of shit. God forgive me for speaking low on my brother but you know he is wrong and you can't say that he is not..."

"This is my grandchild and I am subjected to keep her. It's best. Her mother is a prostitute! She has no money and no financial stability-"

It hurt me hearing her say that. It made me feel like a failure. Like a bad mother.

"I don't want my grandchild being fed and clothed with government aid!"

"Mom!" Valerie yelled.

I'm tired of this. I'm so fucking tired of this. I try to be happy but something is always shutting me down or snatching it away from me.

The baby started crying and I rocked her. "It's two o'clock..." I was looking down and didn't notice how close Renee was. She carefully but quickly took Empriss away from me.

"No! Don't take her please!" I cried. She turned on her heels and started walking out.

I hopped out the bed and chased after her. Me screaming caused Empriss to cry.

My poor baby

"You can't take her!" I grabbed at Renee's arm but some guy came through the door and grabbed my arm.

"Bitch let me go!" I yelled fighting him. I kept trying to break free and run after Renee but she kept walking away. This guy held me back.

"Momma!" Valerie yelled running after her too.

She looked back at me. "Please...I'm begging you. Don't take her from me... please I'll do anything." I cried softly. I couldn't even see straight. I had a excruciating headache and pain in my chest.

She kissed her forehead hushing her then left out the door.

"No!" I yelled.

She was gone...

"No...No..No," I rocked myself. The guy let me go and escorted Valerie, "I'm so sorry..." Valerie said softly. She was crying too.

After they left Cyan rushed over to me and hugged me. The both of us cried for at least thirty minutes.

I'm officially alone...

Nubia

Maverick hasn't said a word to me in the past couple days. He hasn't tried jumping out that window since I caught him, but he hasn't been eating as much and he refuses to come home when I go to pick him up from school.

I was at home watching Tv, Maverick was upstairs sleep, and Casey was in the kitchen preparing to make dinner. There was a viscous but loud knock at the door.

"Baby who is that?" Casey came out the kitchen, "I-I'm not sure..." I got up and answered it. I felt nothing but the devil himself lay his hands on me.

"How fucking dare you!" It was Kiera. She slapped me then she started to fight me.

"Kiera chill man shit!" I got away from her. "The fuck is wrong with you bitch?!"

Casey came running out the kitchen, "Who the fuck are-"

"Bitch shut up!" Kiera spat.

"Don't talk to her like that!" I yelled.

"And if I do? Fuck you gon' do? Send me off and take my son?!"

My eyes grew. How the fuck?...

"Yea I know what you did!"

"The fuck is she talking about Nu-"

"Tee came back to get my son to take him to see his aunts and his grandma and I overheard him on the phone telling someone everything that happened and who it involved.... Nubia I thought you loved her?" Kiera walked closer to me.

I looked away from her death glare. I don't even know what to say or feel.

"Because of you they took her!"

My eyes met back with hers with a confused look, "Took who?"

"Took who..bitch they took her baby. She's sitting at the hospital right now by her damn self!"

Now I really felt bad. I was so worried about getting this back and I caused all of this. She has no one, and now she's all alone.

We heard footsteps and Kiera's face turned to a "Imma kill you face,"

"Why is Maverick here and not with Macey.." She asked in a calm voice.

Shit she's going to kill me.

"Nubia you better tell me why he is here- no matter of fact. What did you tell him?" She asked me.

I choked on my words. How can I tell her?

"She told me that Macey no want me.." He mumbled. She looked down at me for two seconds then went to beating my ass.

She kicked me, punched me, shit pulled at my hair. A real ass beating. My nose was bleeding and a couple of spots on my face.

"Maverick let's go."

"Where are we going?" He asked.

"To find your sister." Kiera said.

"She no want me..."

"Yes she does... Sweetie this lady lied to you. She had bad people take Macey. If Macey could come back to get you she would." She said.

Maverick walked over to me and had an innocent look on his face. "You tell a story!" He spat on my clothes. This little nigga... I had no fight in me plus he's a little kid. I deserved this, I admit but that little snob would have got it.

"Let's go!" He yelled running towards the door.

"I hope you burn in hell..." Kiera said before slamming my door.

I groaned and completely passed out

Macey

I've been sitting in this room for hours. I haven't eaten or slept. Cyan kept trying to get me to eat but I was in no mood.

I don't know how to deal with this, but I can't.

I only get weekends with her and they're supervised by someone she hired. I guess to keep watch of me to make sure I don't kidnap her.

Bitch it's my baby...

I was dry out of tears. I had no more to cry. My baby is gone, Kaylee is dead, Nubia only wants money and doesn't care about me, and Maverick probably hates me.

"Knock knock.." I heard the door open. Cyan was in here cleaning up so me and her don't know who could've stopped by.

It was Valerie. Seeing her made me angry but I know I shouldn't be. She stuck up for me.. well tried to.

"Hello.. Umm," She closed the door and stood awkwardly in front of the tv. "This is unexpected but I came to talk to you." She said softly.

"Wh-"

"Say what you have to say and go.." Cyan spoke up before I could even respond. She cares.

"To the both of you I'm sorry. I'll say what I have to say and I'll be gone. So just listen please."

Cyan sat down and I laid back.

"My mother doesn't mean what she says or what she does.."

I already want to kick this bitch out

"I know it sounds crazy but Cyan you know why... When you lost the baby she was devastated. Me and my sister can't have children and she really wanted a grandchild. When you became pregnant Cyan she was stoked. When you announced that it was a girl and you were naming her Empriss she was head over heels. She had trust funds set up for her in her name for when she goes to college, she has top designers make clothes and shoes for her, she had cars put in her name, she even put Empriss down to be the inheritor of our companies and everything she owned. If you had more she was going to do somewhat the same for them. Empriss would've had millions of dollar in her name. Losing her made her hurt.."

"And you don't think I was hurt?" Cyan asked.

"I do sweetie. I was hurting with you and for you... My mother wanted a grandchild so bad so when she found out about you Macey she had to have the baby. Everything she had for the baby was under the name Empriss and that's why she decided to make you change it. I was going along with it until I found out you were raped and because I didn't want you to choose between your brother and your daughter." She admitted.

"Unless you have a way for me to get my daughter back I suggest you leave." I said calmly. I wanted to hear no more of this. I'm tired of it all.

"I do actually.." I looked at her. "My brother never knew but I had cameras installed in his warehouse... I had them put in to keep what he was doing because he told me he was starting a business. Not selling drugs or prostituting women and girls.." She sighed and put her hand over her mouth.

"I was watching the videos one day and came across what happened to you..."

I swallowed the lump in my throat. Great... I was recorded while being raped. Not intentional but I bet she plans on showing people.... and I was right.

"If I show the board of our companies what happened and tell them what my mother has done she will be forced to be released from her position. I then, until Empriss is old enough, will run all 3 companies since I am the oldest child."

"She's right. Macey I can help you... please let me help you. Afterwards my mother can longer have care of my niece. Once I am made head CEO, I will let you keep the house you choose from our vacation homes and I will give you a car and you will be subjected to receive payments of four grand every month... that's a thousand every week. Enough for you get started. I'll even help you get your brother and pay for you guys to get through school..."

I inwardly smiled but I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I'll have a chance to get them both back. I have to take it.

"You just have to trust me Macey..." Valerie stood next to me. I looked at Cyan and she nodded at me.

"Ok..."
