My body shimmered with the sweat as the ponding bellow my feet caused adrenaline to spike in my body; I rotated my hips in time with the beat not caring for anyone else around me. This had become my normal weekend since weeks ago, to escape the noise in my head I'd drown it with other loud noise for a couple hours until I went home and passed out, wake up Monday, bury myself in school work then when the weekend rolled around again I'd do it all over again.

I was on constant repeat.

I spent more and more time with Jessica and her friends, they weren't at all trustworthy and I'd come to find that I felt no guilt whatsoever for using them the way I was. Matt was your typical frat boy, Chris flirted with anything with tits and I was pretty certain Brian was into illegal shit. I only associated with them unless I absolutely had to and being among them had already affected the way that others viewed me, just today I had to teach an asshole a lesson because he was under the impression that since I was 'friends' with a slut that I'd be one too. Suffice to say he'd be in need of some stitches and an ice pack.

Feeling hands on my hips immediately made me tense, chills of disgust traveled through my body causing me to shiver.

Turning around I glared at the person staring at me, throwing his filthy hands from me I scowled at him "I don't need a dance partner" I spat.

Putting his hand over his chest he feigned hurt "you wound me sweetie, it's just a dance won't do any harm."

I'd beg to differ; it would pain me greatly dancing with such scum. Suddenly the heat had gotten to me and I needed to be away from Callum. Moving around him I headed straight to the bar and took a seat, ordering a Sazerac I looked back at the dance floor, seeing as Marissa swung her head around wildly, she was already piss drunk and was ready to go home five drinks ago.

"You send me mad" his breath tickled my neck; rolling my eyes I ignored him. Although I didn't like him close to me I wasn't about to entertain him either. He chuckled, it was teasing and taunting...the bad feeling in the pit of my stomach grew, I really didn't like this idiot. He brought his mouth closer to my ear "You pretend to be so cold and distance but I know your type, I've had your type and they never seem to disappoint me. I can't wait to beat you into submission."

Redness inched across my vision as blood pumped loudly in my ears making the music in the club fade.

I shifted my body to stare Callum straight in the eye, "you are a vile pig, one which I wouldn't waste precious time tainting myself with. Stay away from me little boy or you will regret it" I hissed.

Getting to my feet, I saw as the bartender was bringing my drink. Callum roughly grabbed my elbow turning me toward him "listen here, you're lucky that I even set my sights on you whore! I'm probably the only man that will."

My hand reached up and grabbed his hair before I slammed his head into the bar counter, letting him fall to the floor. Blood ran down the side of his face as he groaned in pain, ignoring the shouts of others near me I bent to his level "let's get something straight pig. I don't fuck with weak little boys who are premature ejaculators so you'd better do yourself a favor and stay away from me." Coming back to my full height I took my drink and apologized for the disruption before going back to the dance floor, there was no chance in hell that pig would ruin my night.

Pulling into the driveway of Uncle Jay's house, I killed the engine to the truck. Grabbing my bag I opened the door and jumped out, after locking up Uncle Jay's truck I made my way inside.

Not moments later, there was knocking at my door, memory of me telling that scum to leave me alone surfaced making me grow irritated. Marching to the door, I took the handle yanking it open; I did not expect to see to police officers standing at my uncle's doorstep.

"Can I help?" I asked eyeing the two with caution. The bells in my head were ringing telling me something bad was going to happen or something bad had happened. My thoughts immediately went to my Uncle causing anxiety to pool inside the pits of my stomach as bile rose in my throat.

"Good afternoon, I'm Officer Crawford...this is Officer Messer. May we come in ma'am?" officer Crawford questioned.

"Not until you tell me why you're on my doorstep" I said.

Nodding Officer Messer spoke "we're investigating the disappearance of Callum Stewart; we'd like to ask you some questions if that's alright with you."

Nodding slowly, I let them in. I guiding them to the living area and had them sit, to be polite I offered them something to drink but they had declined to I took a seat opposite them and had them start.

"According to the Stewart's you haven't been here long, you moved in two months ago correct?" officer Messer started as he looked at his notebook.

"Yes that's right."

"Callum was the first person to meet you here correct?" officer Crawford stared at me goading my reaction but I kept my composure.

"Yes, he came to introduce himself and invite me to dinner like his parents asked."

"Did you and Callum get along?"

"We can't get along if we hardly ever saw each other Officer Crawford."

"He's around your age, and since you're new to the neighborhood you two would've made friends." His theory was basically how it usually went.

"I'm not the type to make friends easily."

"Why not?" his eyes narrowed in accusation at me, Crawford was trying his best to intimidate me.

I stared back at him, quietly glaring at him "with all the crap that's happening nowadays I've gotta be careful of the people I call my friends. I'm already as vulnerable as it is being in this house by myself." I mentally patted myself on the back for my acting skills; I was by no means vulnerable.

"Oh? Don't you have a guardian?" Officer Messer frowned.

"I do, my uncle can't be here at the time."

"How come?"

"He's in the navy."

Officer Messer's eyes widened before he nodded in understanding, "what of your parents? Surely they wouldn't approve of their child being alone?" Officer Crawford stated.

My eyes darted toward the repugnant prick "probably not but they don't have any say in it since they're dead. And I am no child, is there anything else you officers want? If not I'll have to ask you to leave" I growled, openly glaring at Crawford. Thoughts of me reaching across the coffee table and pulling his gun and using it on him raced through my mind.

"Please excuse my partner ma'am he had no ill intent. But I do have one more question if you don't mind" Officer Messer said softly, he threw a pointed look to his partner warning him to keep his mouth shut.

"What is it?"

"When was the last time you saw Callum?"

"Two days ago when I left for school." I half-lied, I knew I probably shouldn't have but I didn't need to be a suspect in a case that would surely be bad for me overall.

"Thank you for your time ma'am" Officer Messer said politely "enjoy the rest of your afternoon."

I saw the two policemen out and locked the door behind me. Anger surged through my body remembering what Crawford had said. People like him pissed me off the most, slamming my fist on the counter I ignored the physical pain. The one in my chest was growing once again from the memories that resurfaced thanks to the ass that just left. It

The chirping of my phone got my attention, pulling it from my pocket I looked at the text Jessica sent me.

House party tonight, be ready at 9 pm will pick you up with Matt.

Looks like it was about time I numbed the pain again.
