It took Skye a second to figure out what was going on. Then she realized: Ward was kissing her!
Skye broke away from him and gasped. He looked back at her, confused.
"I didn't say you could kiss me!" Skye exclaimed.
Ward gaped at her, trying to find words. "Well I thought that-"
"Hey!" Someone yelled from behind Skye. They both whipped around in a frantic. It was Fitz. He charged toward Ward.
"Get away from her you little-"
"Hey, hey!" Skye yelled.
Fitz grabbed Ward's shoulders and shoved him back. "Did he hurt you Skye?!" Fitz asked. "Was he trying to?!"
Skye put her hands on Fitz's arms and gently pushed him back. "No, Fitz. We were just reviewing the plan. I have powers now, and he needed to know."
Fitz was still gripping Ward's shirt. Skye looked at him. He sighed and released Ward.
"Coulson says to get ready soon. We'll be there in another thirty minutes."
"Ok," Skye and Ward both said. They both wanted Fitz to go away so they could talk about what just happened.
Fitz glared at Ward and then looked at Skye. "You sure you don't want to come hang out with Simmons and I?"
Skye nodded. "Trust me Fitz, if Ward was giving me problems, I would be with you and Simmons."
Fitz nodded back and left. Then Skye turned her attention to Ward. "I didn't say you could kiss me."
"Oh," Ward replied. "I just thought sense you moved closer to me and touched my hands that you wanted me to."
Skye sighed. "I'm sorry, I should have been more careful. Sometimes I forget that you can read people so easily."
Ward grinned. "So you did want me to kiss you."
Skye closed her eyes and sighed. "Look. The point is if we are going to do this relationship thing then we need to keep it settle. We can't do anything in front of the others."
Ward groaned. "That's gonna be so boring. The team is always around you."
"Plus, there's Kara," Skye added. "What will she think of us?"
"She won't think anything!" Ward replied defensively. "She doesn't even want to be here! She'll probably leave once we get back to the base."
"Are you sure?" Skye asked. "She seemed pretty attached to you."
Ward put his hands on Skye's shoulders and peered into her eyes. "Skye. I have no feelings for Kara. I want to be with you, I love you."
Ward looked at her, desperately waiting for her to reply with the same three words. Skye looked at him nervously. She opened her mouth to say something. Then the plane shook and Skye fell backward. Ward grabbed her arm and pulled her back up.
"Skye?" He asked, expecting her to reply.
Then Simmons stormed in. "Get ready you two! The plane's going down!"

Simmons stared at Ward from the back. She held the weapon in her hand. She smiled and threw it at him. Bakshi jumped out in front of Ward and took the pain for him. He exploded.
Ward turned around and pointed the gun at Simmons. He would never shoot her, he was just protecting himself because she was the one who tried to kill him!
He pointed the gun at her head and slowly walked toward her. Then Skye walked in.
"What's going on?!" Skye asked, looking at Ward.
Before Ward could say anything, Simmons stepped in.
"He tried to kill me!" She yelled. "He's been playing all of us!"
Skye looked at Ward in shock.
"I did not!" Ward yelled. "She tried to kill me!"
Skye looked at Ward and winced. "And how am I supposed to believe that!"
"That's just it Skye," Simmons said. "You can't believe it. We should kill him now so we can go save your friend Lincoln!"
Skye looked at her and realized that there was a red flag in what Simmons just said.
"Hey," Skye exclaimed. "You just said you didn't try to kill him, and then in the next sentence you are talking about killing him. How am I supposed to believe you?" Skye asked.
Skye folded her arms and walked toward Simmons. Simmons looked between the two of them. Then she bolted. Skye started to run after her but Ward grabbed her shoulder.
"Let her go."
"But-"
"Hey," Ward said and tilted Skye's chin up so she was looking at him. "It's ok. She's just gonna run to Coulson. She'll be fine."
"Ok," Skye said. "Come on. We need to get to Lincoln."
They rushed through the building. Skye ran into some guards and took them out easily.
Ward looked at her in shock.
"Well somebody has gotten independent," Ward said and grinned at Skye.
Skye grinned back, but her smile quickly faded when she heard a groan. They rushed over to Lincoln. Skye held out her hands over his chest and their powers connected. There was a little zap and he sprung back to life. They rushed him back to Coulson and the team left along with Deathlok.

"Ward! Ward!" Kara yelled, and practically threw herself on him. He looked at her in disgust. Skye looked over at them from her seat. She was sitting next to Lincoln, he still hadn't waken up.
"Kara, get off me!" Ward said.
She gave him a confused look. "I- I thought-"
"You thought what?!" Ward asked. "I'm back at Shield now. That was the deal remember?!"
Kara looked at him, confused again.
"Look," Ward said and grabbed Kara by the shoulder. He pulled her over into a dark corner where nobody could see them. "The deal was that since you saved me from being shot, I would help you get your face back. Then we made another deal. The other deal was that if you helped me get to Shield, I would help you get your life started again. That was it."
Kara looked at him, heart broken. "But I thought-"
"What?" Ward asked. "What did you think?"
"I thought..........maybe we could be together."
Ward sighed and put her hands on her shoulders. "Kara the wasn't the deal remember?"
Kara stared at him. "You never loved me. You were just using me weren't you!"
"Kara I-"
"You're in love with someone else!" Kara carried on, her voice getting louder. "Somebody here has brought you your fun, Shield memories back! It's that Skye girl isn't it! The girl who shot you! She doesn't love you! You betrayed her!" Ward glared at her and backed her up against the wall. "Stop," he said sternly.
Kara stopped and looked at him.
"I've never stopped loving Skye," he continued. "I just had to get to Shield to see her again."

Lincoln woke up and the electricity went out. Skye looked up at him and gave him a warm welcoming. He then got worried about Shield and started complaining. Skye turned around to leave when she saw Ward looking at them. Skye sighed and left the room. She grabbed Ward's wrist and yanked him around the corner.
"What's wrong with Kara?" Skye asked.
Ward sighed. "Long story. How's Lincoln?"
"He's complaining about Shield. I'm probably gonna have to take him back to the Inhumans," Skye explained. "I kind of want to go back there too. It's really nice."
Ward looked at her, worried. "Where do the Inhumans live? Are you gonna live there? Will I ever see you again?!"
Skye giggled and sighed. "Relax."
Ward softly grabbed Skye's hands and held them. She looked down at their locked hands and smiled. Then she heard footsteps coming.
"Skye!" Coulson called.
Skye snapped back into reality and ripped her hands away from Ward's. She then put out her hand towards Ward and sent out Earthquake power towards him. He flew back into some bins. It made a big crash, but he was unseen. Skye quickly turned back and folded her hands just as Coulson came around the corner.
"Skye?" He asked.
"Yes?"
"I was just wondering where you were. You're friend Lincoln wants to go back to "Afterlife," what ever that is."
Then a guard ran up to Coulson. "Sir, we've lost Ward."
Coulson whipped around and gave them the biggest glare. "You WHAT?! How?!
Before the guard could answer Coulson butted in. "You know what?! Don't even answer me just go find him. NOW!"
Coulson turned back to Skye. "If you see him, let me know. You have no idea what he could do to this place. He could-"
"You really think that he would do something?" Skye asked carefully. "I mean, we gave him guns and weapons on the mission and he didn't kill any of us."
Coulson looked at her. "Skye, Skye, Skye. Don't go drifting to the dark side. Ward is bad. He's a murderer. A killer. How can you side with that?"
"I didn't say I was siding with him, I just-"
"Skye," Coulson interrupted. "We have bigger problems than to go on about Ward. We'll be locking him and Kara up. That's the end of it. My final answer."
Skye looked like she wanted to say something but stopped herself.
"Now," Coulson said. "I have to go have a meeting with your mother to not cause a war, with a bunch of powered people against some Shield agents. Please excuse me."
"Wait!" Skye called. "I think I should go see my mother first, to lower the boom. I'll take Lincoln with me."
"Ok," Coulson said. "I'll allow that. But be careful Skye."
Coulson looked at her before heading down the hallway. Once he left, Skye rushed over to Ward. He was groaning and rubbing his head.
"Hey, hey," Skye comforted. "You ok?"
She helped him up.
"I thought you could control your powers," Ward said playfully with a grin.
Skye smiled and punched him playfully in the shoulder. "Shut up."
"So," Ward said casually as he slipped his arms around Skye's shoulders. "You're going to see your mom."
"Long story," Skye sighed. "Basically, she helped me control my powers. She's how I got my powers. It runs in her bloodline. But now, I have to go tell her that Coulson and Shield is good, and they just want to help."
Ward raised his eyebrows as Skye rolled her eyes at him and sighed. "Yeah, it's a pretty tough situation. I don't want to have to choose between my two families."
Ward chuckled. "I've been in that situation before, not fun. And, as you know, I made the wrong decision. I shouldn't have chosen Garret."
Skye looked down and away from him. Ward tilted her head so she was looking up at him.
"I should have chosen you," Ward continued and smiled. "But luckily, you forgave me for that."
"What if I make the wrong decision?!" Skye asked nervously.
"That's why I think I should be there with you Skye," Ward replied. "I know that situation, and I can help you make the choice. If you have to of course, make that choice. So Skye. What do you say, should I come to Afterlife with you?"
