Shadeleaf slid into the gathering crowd of cats, his white with black and red sploched pelt gleaming in the moonlight.His amber eyes scaning the shadows at the edge of the clearing for one cat in particular.Then he saw a flash of a cream thick tail behind one of the huge threes, Shadeleaf smiled and made his way over to the tree looking around.But just as he was about to reach the tree a gray and white she-cat slid up to him her green eyes filled with joy to see him.

"Shadeleaf!"She meowed loudly pressing into his side puring lightly."It's been a while sence I saw you."Shadeleaf flicked his tail impatiently but swung his head and put a happy look on his face."Frogheart, it nice to see you too."He mewed looking into her blue eyes. Frogheart was Birdtail's sister who both were the daughters of Riverclans leader Swampstar. She always talking to Shadeleaf and sliding up to him at gatherings cats whispered that she was in love with him.

  Shadeleaf looked to the tree where he was sposed to be, flicking his tail toward a black tom with green eyes. "Hey, its my good friend Blacktree I don't think you've talked to him in a while."Shadepelt said, Frogheart's tail drooped, but she nodded and padded away, Shadeleaf sighed in relief and he slid behind the tree coming nose to nose withe a cream tabby she-cat with sky blue eyes. Shadeleaf rubbed her muzzle curling up around her, letting her sweet sent wife over him.

"It's been to long Birdtail,"He pured looking into her blue eyes his breath taken away at the sigh of  her beauty.Birdtail rested her head on his chest, curling her thick tail around his, closing her eyes."I've tired to get across the river but Swampstar still caches me every time."She said opening her eyes and pulling her head back to look into his amber ones."Besides I have a reason to stay in the camp."A worried look came to Shadeleaf's amber eyes.

"Shadeleaf, I'm expecting kits."Birdtail breathed happiness filling her eyes making them glow in the shadow of the tree. Shadeleaf's heart sored with joy and his tail curled up his spine, he looked at Birdtail barely swollen belly."Really,"She nodded."I'm going to be a father, a father to the best kits in all the clans!"He said, in triumph but then Birdtail got a scared look in her sky eyes.

"But they will be half-clan cats Thunderclan ,"The fur along her spine rising in fear."What will my father say?"Shadeleaf nosed her cheek and ran his tail down along her back calming her."Don't worry I'll come to the came when the kits are born, you and I can take them back to Thunderclan and we can rasie our kits together."Shadeleaf pulled his head back looking down into hers.

"Ok, I trust you but don't come to early, or we will both be baneshed form our clans."She said, looking over his shoulder at the crowd of  cats."We should go, come soon."She whispered then slid in front of the tree and out of sight, leaving Shadeleaf standing there the most happy in his life I'm going to be a father of the most amazing kits with the best mother, and the perfect life.
