As she eats from her large bowl of macaroni, Tari debates whether she should go to the show Emmet told her about, or if she should go over to the cemetery to see Isaac.
The decision is much easier than she had anticipated, considering the fact that Kal and his band will always be around, Isaac though, she has to get him as soon as possible. She can't really pinpoint it yet, but there's something absolutely irresistible about Isaac Lahey, and it's definitely gotten her attention.
Satisfied with her choice, Tari shoots Emmet a quick text explaining her plans for the night and buckles herself in, placing a lit cigarette between her lips before speeding out of her driveway and down the street.

The cemetery is dark and quiet, two things Isaac has grown to appreciate fully. There's a cracking of leaves nearby, but the cemetery just happens to be an outlet of the woods, so the ominous noise has long since stopped startling him. "Hey Isaac." This noise though, makes him jump.
As he turns to look at Tari, Isaac gets the feeling that he will never get used to her voice, no matter the setting. "H- hello Netari. Did you, um, need something?" He stutters out, making Tari smile at his sincere softness - which obviously makes it easy to tease him. Her face dropping into a gravely - pun intended - serious expression, Tari stuffs her hands in her jean pockets, "I need a body."
She sees the boy startle at her words, his eyes wide as his mouth opens and closes, trying to think of a response that won't get him punched in the face. "Don't kill yourself with worry over there Isaac, I was only joking. Do I really seem that dark to you? Like the type of girl to really take interest in stealing dead bodies?" With every few words, she takes a small step forward, causing Isaac to reciprocate the action, but using it to get away from her.
Sensing his obvious, and heartbreaking discomfort with her, Tari tries to lighten the mood, "I know I'm quite odd, but odd or not, black people don't do that, Isaac." Her joke makes him chuckle a bit, but then he remembers Emmet and how he was staring at him today and nothing is funny anymore.
"I - I don't know if we should be alone together." Tari cocks her head to the side and leans on the grave marker beside her, "Why are you afraid of me?" She asks him, seeing his body is still tense and his eyes are darting around as if she's planning on killing him and he needs an escape route. "There's lots of reasons to be afraid of you."
His comment surprises Tari a bit. She was expecting him to say he isn't afraid of her, or at least not anymore. "There's no reason for you to be afraid of me though. I don't care about anyone else or I would have asked them." I don't care about anyone else? Isaac is in for it now. "I'm more afraid of you and Emmet as a whole. And he - Emmet doesn't seem to like me very much. Definitely not when you are also around."
Seeing where this is going, Tari chuckles, "What? Emmet does like you. If Emmet didn't like you, you'd definitely know it, and so would everyone else. Emmet's my right hand man, if he didn't like you, I'd know way before you." Tari sees him visibly relax when she's finished speaking, but his brows furrow again, "Right hand man? Like your best friend?"
The phrase makes Tari's nose wrinkle in disgust, "No. Best friends are hardly ever the best. I've had a best friend, and that's not what Emmet and I are. He's my family. I call him my right hand because I don't know what I'd do without him. Like a right hand, I've used it for so long, anything else would be foreign and absolutely horrific in my mind. We don't use the term best friend, we're right hands."
It makes sense to Isaac, though he doesn't really see why she speaks of Emmet so highly when there has to be a family at home who loves her, regardless of her rough edges, but he knows it's not his place to ask. Or is it? His thoughts are going crazy as he thinks about what Tari said. I don't care about anyone else? Does that mean she cares about him? That she... likes him? If she likes him, doesn't he have the right to ask questions?
"Penny for your thoughts Lahey." Tari calls, tossing a penny at his feet. Looking from the girl to the coin, Isaac takes a deep breath and lifts the coin - it's heads up. Good luck. Ten seconds. All you have are ten seconds. Come on Isaac! DO IT! He thinks to himself and gripping the coin tightly and making eye contact with Tari, "What are you doing here? Really?"
The question makes Tari raise an eyebrow and immediately, Isaac feels a damper on his ten seconds of confidence. "I was just, um - I'm not trying -" Tari shakes her head, a smile trying to turn up the corners of her lips, "Don't apologize, Isaac. You asked a legitimate question, and I will give you a legitimate answer. You want to know why I'm here? Honestly?"
Isaac nods, a small 'yes' leaving his lips as he watches Tari run a hand over her short hair, "I'm here to ask you out."
