Caleb awoke to the sounds of muffled shouting. He opened his eyes and saw the television on, and Seria watching it. "You finally woke up. Let's get going." Seria said, excited. She clicked off the television and stood up. "Where are we goin?" Caleb said, groggily.
"To the Dutchman. We gotta find him, right?"
Caleb pulled himself to his feet and stretched. "It's harder to get there than you'd think. Almost a two day trip."
"Then we'd better get to walking." Seria marched to the door and opened it to reveal a beautiful, sunny day.
"It's mostly swimming, Seria." Caleb chuckled, happily. Seria stepped out into the blazing sun rays. Caleb heard the door click behind him as he stepped outside.
"After you." Seria said, stepping to the side. Caleb sighed and started down the sidewalk.

They reached the edge of the water, the beach full of lounging people. Caleb sat on the beach and looked up at Seria. "What are you doing? Let's go." Seria chuckled, confusingly.
"Can't we chill a little? We don't have to go right now...do we?" Caleb hugged his knees.
"We should though, if it's a two day trip." Seria walked into the water, it seeped into her sneakers

Caleb sighed and followed her into the water. After getting fully submerged, Caleb's tail grew, his blue scales shimmering beneath the water. Seria climbed into his back and felt the zapping intensely. He swam deeper, making her go fully under the water. Hours passed and the sun began to set. Caleb stopped for a breather, seria floating in the water.
"It's weird getting used to this. Shouldn't we turn in for the night?" She crossed her arms.
"It'll turn into a three day trip if we do that." he pulled his hair away from his face. Seria sighed and climbed back onto his back, the zapping feeling physically hurting her thighs. She shifted as he submerged Seria in the sea.

He was swimming so fast, the water was forcing her backwards. She could feel she was falling off of his back, then, the pressure stopped. Caleb had reached their destination, and he let her catch her breath.
"Ready?" He asked. Seria gasped for air, and nodded to him as he dove under the water. The zapping drove through her body as Caleb swam. She knew if this continued, the pain would cause her to pass out. She bent over and wrapped her arms around him. The pain coursed through her veins as the time passed ever so slowly.

Caleb swam into a cave and pulled himself out of the water. He hit stone and felt his tail change back to feet. He turned around to see Seria coughing. She sat up and noticed her body shaking.
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah, I'm sure I'm just cold." Seria stood up and pulled her hair over her shoulder. Caleb rose to his feet and led Seria through the cave.
"It's this way." He instructed, pointing down a dark break in the cave tunnels. Seria let out a shuddering breath as they reached the break, and gazed around, trying to see through the darkness. 
"It's too dark, what are we doing?" 

*Author's Message*

I've tried and tried to edit and fix this old story to my developed standards. But it's just too different and the story line is so blurry that I can't follow it logically. I will always love this story for the sheer fact that I was the one that came up with it. But the only thing I feel I can do with this story is leave it the way I did two years ago. I've thought of deleting it entirely before, and when I was at a low point, I almost did. At that time I deleted one of my other stories I don't think I even published, and now I really, really miss it. So I would rather regret leaving this story up, than deleting it.
