Background

Clay comes from the most part, a very loving and caring family. His parents and him do sometimes argue and fight, which is pretty common in his household but it's nothing out of the ordinary. He does have anxiety and takes medication for it, and it's not too bad, but it used to be when he was much younger. He has lived in the same town all his life and he's also very introverted and doesn't go to many parties or events.

Clay was very angry and cold when his close friend, Hannah Baker committed suicide. He was in love with Hannah and most people know how important she was to him, which was why he was so angry about the whole thing, especially when the tapes came out. His biggest rival is probably Bryce, because of what he did to Hannah, and other people that he cares about very much.

Now Clay is much more calm than before. He's to his surprise very close with his new friend, and adoptive brother Justin. He hated Justin for the role he had in Hannah's suicide in the beginning and he never thought in a million years they would be close. He forgave and now cares for Justin because he sees how much he tries to help and now he isn't an arrogant asshole.
