I had to carry Joan to her room since she was to drunk to know how to walk. I held her not so heavy body to mine as we scrambled off. She kept singing aloud and rained curses on everything she remembered. It was funny seeing her like this but I couldn't record it on my phone.
Her room wasn't different from mine. I laid her on her bed and she pulled me to her. I opened my eyes wide when she called me Marcus
"Oh Marcus come on baby kiss me" she said and pouted her mouth towards me, I moved from her surprised as she didn't say anything to him when we were outside. She giggled when I hit her thighs.
she giggled "Oh my gosh Ivy i'm so sorry.. I would never do that to Trijan"
I rolled off her bed and pushed her further into it ignoring her words "you know Ivy I always thought you'ld end up with Trijan. I mean considering how much he liked you as kids and even though you showed no interest I could read you then and even now nothing's changed you still like Trijan. It's like this root kind of love that's in your heart and no matter how you cut it's stem, it will still grow"
It was then i looked at her and memories of our childhood came flooding In. He was always around me and where I hid he would always come there. He always poked me while we ate on the dinning table and always caught butterflies for me. I blushed when I remembered him say i looked like a butterfly, I cried because I thought he called me an animal. "You know Ivy, Trijan still likes you and screw his engagement everybody knows there's no love there".
"You are just Drunk Joan Shut up" I scolded her for badmouthing his engagement but was living the information
"You know Ivy I would follow my heart and screw the engagement, I would Boldly laugh at Denise if she's stood up on her wedding day" she said and started laughing
I imagined Denise in her wedding gown infront of a million people and she's standing alone on the aisle and though she can be evil sometimes that would be awful for her. I sighed "Goodnight Joan"
"Goodnight Ivy" she mumbled as she turned to the other side, I heard her mumbled words as I closed the door
The walk to my room seemed longer as I moved. Joan's words had gotten to me and i found myself thinking about them. I never really noticed those things Trijan did, I just remembered.
The way he was always there first when I got injured, how he always sat close to me and the numerous small gifts he got me. I thought it was because his dad was rich or he was just being a pest.
The day Trijan kissed me, I was ten and it was at that hide and seek game, he was 12 then and when he did it, I panicked. I thought he forgot I wasn't Denise. I thought he didn't see me well so we never talked about. I thought he liked Denise then but he didn't or was the alcohol manipulating Joan to say nonsense.
I slumped on my bed still thinking about Trijan... nothing can happen between both of us. He was engaged, soon to be married and i was leaving here soon so there was nothing going to happen. By morning we would all depart so If I had to do anything it would be tonight.
I thought of what to do. I knew I could sabotage the wedding especially with Mr. Jack backing it. I sighed when i concluded that there was nothing i could do. I needed fresh air and i knew where to get it.
The balcony..
