Ch.4

I pass by the building again. What are they trying to keep in? I wonder. My curiosity gets the best of me and I turn back around, heading towards the building, stopping at the fence.

If only I could see...

I walk around the fence, searching for a weak spot or something that I could get through by. Well, there's the gate up front, but its locked and there's no way I could possibly get through that way. I find I part of the fence that is curled up a bit from the bottom, a small space with no fence showing. I could probably fit under that, if I really try.

Tonight. Tonight I will find out what They are hiding. I will do it. I have a strange feeling about this place...

~~~
I squeeze under the fence, slightly scratching my back under it. Ouch. I stand up and brush the dirt off of me, glancing around. Window. I quietly stalk over to the window, perrimg through. It looks like a lab almost. There's a silverish floor, some counter spaces with a few high-tech computers on them, a few machines, and white walls. I'm so confused.
I walk around to another window. There's...people. Well of course there's people in a building...but... They seem different. There's a few various age groups as I can tell. The people are laying down in hospital-like beds. Well it is night time, so that's understandable. Hmmm...
Why would there be a fence to keep people in though? This makes no sense.
I look at each person, studying them. My gaze hits a girl. She has strawberry blonde hair in a braid, her head facing the other direction.
My beautiful wife brushes Amberleigh's hair. The long strawberry blonde hair straightens out, it no longer tangled and wavy. Before me is two very beautiful girls...
I snap back to the present. Strawberry blonde. I look back through the window. Could it be? I bolt around the building to the other window, making it possible to see the girl's face. I press my face against the glass. The moonlight shines through, illuminating her face. I take one look...and tears begin to fall. She's not so young anymore, she's changed. But I can still tell who she is. I know that's her, I just know. There are some people in your life that you can never forget. And this is my little girl. My eyes soften. Amberleigh.
