Flash-Realization

"The casino wasn't the target." Barry said as soon as he noticed that Cisco and Wells were inside the Cortex. Caitlin turned around in her chair, as Marianna did the same.

"Then why did he do it?"

"Casino's keep tons of cash on hand to cover their markers. Not to mention the money that they make."

"But if they're under attack--"

"The protocol is to relocate the money outside the casino." Marianna finished for Barry as she smiled and turned to Cisco.

"So that was Snart's plan all along, to trigger the move."

"Okay, where is it now?"

Barry ran towards Snart and took him from the motorcycle, running to a nearby forest and leaving him there with him.

"Good to see you, Barry."

Barry took off his mask, knowing it was no use with Snart, as he frowned at him.

"We have to talk."

"I know Cisco told you who I am."

"Can't really blame the kid for giving you up. You or his brother? Come on. I put him in a tight spot. Same kind I got you in right now. Can't really stop me, now that I know who you really are."

"I could speed you to my private prison, where you'll never see the light of day."

"But then I won't be around to stop my own private uplink that'll broadcast your identity to the world. So the million-dollar question: what to do with me now, Barry Allen?"

"I won't let you keep stealing whatever you want, whenever you feel like it. It needs to end."

"Can't do that. It's what I do."

"Find a new line of work."

Snart shrugged, a glare onto Barry, "Don't want to."

"Why's that?"

"The same reason you keep running after guys like me. The adrenaline. The thrill of the chase. I love this game. And I'm very good at it."

"Then go play it somewhere else. Leave Central City."

"Can't do that either. I love it here. This city is my home."

Barry chuckled dryly, taking steps towards Snart, a glare still on him, who was watching like a hawk.

"You've seen what I can do. You know that I can stop you. You wanna keep pushing your luck, go for it. But from here on out, no one else dies. If you're as good as you say, you don't have to kill anyone to get what you want."

Snart paused, looking at Barry before nodding his head to one side, "That's true."

"And if any or anyone in your rouge's gallery, goes near any of my friends or family again, I don't care who you tell my identity to. I'm putting you away."

Pausing, Snart contemplated his options, before answering Barry, who waited for his reply.

"I guess your secret's safe, Flash. For now."

Barry knew Snart had taken the best option, as he put on his mask and looked at the rouge once again.

"Oh, I don't suppose you'd give me a ride back to town, would you?"

Barry smirked before running off, leaving Snart standing in the middle of the woods, smirking and talking to himself.

Caitlin was sitting inside Jitters, Eddie and Iris with her and listening to her. When Barry got the phone call from Caitlin, saying to meet him at Jitters, he was a little skeptic about it, considering what had happened with Eddie not long ago. Once Barry walked inside Jitters, he saw all three of them and almost immediately started to try and talk to him. Instead, he was enveloped in a hug by Eddie, as Barry did a double take.

"I'm so sorry, pal. It's not like me to hit anyone. I don't know what came over me."

"Uh, thanks, Eddie. It's okay."

Iris joined both boys as they were talking, Caitlin right behind her.

"You poor thing. I had no idea."

"Is that right? Um.. But what exactly did you have no idea about?"

"I was just explaining to Iris and Eddie about your Lightning Psychosis."

"My what now?"

Caitlin, as she gave Barry the explanation, she looked at him with a 'just follow along, i'm trying to help you.'  look, catching on and chuckling.

"Your Lightning Psychosis. How your recent odd behavior is a side effect of being struck by lightning. Mood swings, sudden outbursts of affection, and other lapses in judgement."

"He has all of those things. He told me it was ESP."

"It's a very uncommon neurological phenomenon. We're really only just now starting to research in kerauno-medicine. It's why Barry's been spending so much time at S.T.A.R. Labs."

"I--just--I wish you would have told me."

"It hardly feels real sometimes."

"We're just glad we're getting help."

"Yeah."

"So, we're good?"

"Yeah, we're good."

"Coffee?"

"Yeah."

Caitlin and Barry walked away from Iris and Eddie, as Barry quickly leaned over and whispered in Caitlin's ear. He was glad that Caitlin had helped him with his situation.

"Thank you.."

"You are welcome."

Back at S.T.A.R. Labs, Barry was with Wells, who had been talking to him for a couple minutes, after coming back from Jitters with Caitlin.

"Do you think I made a mistake? Letting Snart go?"

"You did what you felt was right in the moment. And really, Barry, that's the best any of us can hope for. For now, let's be thankful the timeline remains intact."

"Oh, I keep forgetting, I've been meaning to ask you. It's about Simon."

Barry stopped, as he looked over at the monitor next to him, seeing a broadcast about Mason Bridge, who had gone missing a couple hours ago. He was brought back from his spaced out moment, as he heard Wells, talking to him.

"You were saying, Mr. Allen?"

"Uh... nothing, sorry. Goodnight, Dr. Wells."

"Goodnight, Barry."

Marianna walked inside Barry's lab, as she saw him looking outside his window. She was looking around, seeing all of his things ordered, except for the big board that was now pulled up and was covered in newspaper clippings and different versions of the same crime that had been committed when both of them were 11.

"Barry? Why did you call me up here so late?"

"I think you were right about Dr. Wells."

Marianna paused, as she looked at Barry, before continuing.

"Which part?"

"All of it."
