Chapter 3

Peter Parker was a master of slipping through crowds. After all these years being Spider-Man, he was able to sneak past anyone if he needed to. He went into one of the men's restrooms and locked the door as he changed into Spider-Man. He then made a web pack for his clothes and unlocked the door, using an air vent to exit Oscorp and put the webpack on the side of the building, then re enter Oscorp through another air vent as fast as he could.

"Peter, Peter where are you?" Ben asked before a gang member walked up to him.

"Quiet old man!" said the thug. Suddenly a web appeared and pulled the thug back, slamming the thug against a wall.

"Now is that any way to treat the elderly?" Spider-Man asked sarcastically as the other gang members turned to look at him.

"Oh crap! It's Spider-Man!" yelled a criminal.

"Waste him!" yelled their leader. They all fired their guns at Spider-Man, who leaped into the air. The bullets all went into the wall where Spider-Man was, away from civilians. Spider-Man webbed their guns and pulled them out of the gang members hands.

"That's enough of that." Spider-Man said. Then the gang members took out knives.

"Do you really think, we'd come in here without a backup plan?" the gang leader asked. Spider-Man sighed.

"One could have hoped, but I'm not surprised." Spider-Man replied.

"Mr. Fisk, I've called the authorities. You're not hurt, are you?" Wesley asked.

"No Wesley. I am unharmed." Fisk replied, almost fighting the urge to chuckle. Wesley knew as well as he did that this was not a coincidence. Some people still feared the name Wilson Fisk in the criminal underworld, and had wanted him taken out now! Fisk almost smiled. He liked the fact that somewhere, someone still feared him after all this time. Fisk then turned his attention to watching Spider-Man.

"So that's the famous Spider-Man? He certainly does not disappoint." Fisk said.

Spider-Man didn't know why normal criminals still tried to fight him after all these years. Spider-Man easily dodged a criminal swinging his knife at him and simply punched the man in the face. Spider-Man flipped over the criminal attempting to attack him from behind and picked him up, before tossing the thug into the leader, webbing them to a wall.

"Crap. Spidey's got Brett, we gotta go." said a criminal as they started to gun, but when the criminals turned to run out of Oscorp, they were met by a wall of officers led by Captain Jean Dewolff.

"Freeze. You're all under arrest." Captain Dewolff said. Peter smiled under his mask.

"You guys got here late." Spider-Man said. Captain Dewolff smiled as she looked at Spider-Man.

"Learned from you that heroes always come into a situation at the last minute." Dewolff replied jokingly. Spider-Man chuckled.

"I had that." Spider-Man said. Dewolff nodded at him.

"We know. But still, isn't it nice to get things resolved faster with teamwork?" Dewolff asked.

"Yeah. It is." Spider-Man replied.

Later:
"Peter, where did you disappear too?" Ben asked. Peter walked to Ben then stopped before speaking.

"I was sneaking around the crowd, taking these." Peter explained as he showed Ben pictures of the fight between Spider-Man and the Apocalypse gang. Ben chuckled.

"And I thought I was crazy when working on a story. Let's head to the Bugle and tell Jameson what happened." Ben said.

Mary Jane frowned when she saw the news while on break. Louie noticed and walked over to MJ.

"Hey, MJ. What's wrong?" Louise asked. MJ sighed.

"There was some kind of attack on Oscorp." MJ replied. Louise looked at MJ in confusion. Sure that was terrible news, but surely it wouldn't be the type of news that would make MJ frown this much? Could it?

"Is there something about Oscorp you're not telling me?" Louise asked. MJ sighed. She thought that she had mentioned to Louise once before that she was once close friends and an ex girlfriend of Harry Osborn.

"I was friends with Harry Osborn. Hearing his old company was attacked is like hearing the only remaining part of him is being torn down." MJ explained. Louise nodded.

"Y-yeah. I forgot, you were close to Harry Osborn. Sorry." Louise said. MJ shook her head.

"You have nothing to be sorry for. Everyone forgets things." MJ replied.

After giving Jameson photos of what happened at the Oscorp press conference and explaining what happened, Peter left and changed into his Spider-Man costume and swung to the cemetary.
"Hey, Uncle Ben. Just dropping by before I go visit Harry in a bit too." Spider-Man said softly. No one was in the cemetary, but Spidey did not dare take off his mask.

"Sorry this visit is in costume. It was just the fastest way to get here." Spider-Man said before he kneeled down to touch his uncle's grave. He sighed.

"Just so you know, Aunt May is doing well. I think I'll visit her sometime soon. And... MJ and I are still complicated. I'm still trying my best to use my powers responsibily. I.... You know.... I never did apoligize all those years ago... for yelling at you for supposedly 'pretending to be my father'... I'm sorry Uncle Ben. I really, really am. It sucks I didn't get to know who my parents are in life... but... I'm just happy to say, you were an amazing dad, Uncle Ben. Thank you." Spider-Man said to Uncle Ben's grave before cleaning it up a bit.

"I'd better visit Harry. He'd be upset if I didn't visit him too. See you next time, Uncle Ben. Love you... and miss you." Spider-Man said before he walked over to Harry's grave.

"Hey Harry. I'm pretty sure you heard about what happened at Oscorp today. Some guy named Wilson Fisk bought it. The guy looks like a bowling ball." Spider-Man said with a chuckle. He sighed.

"You probably are not comfortable with me visiting in costume. Sorry. I just... web swinging is faster than driving. You know, MJ is back on Broadway. Hopefully I get a chance to see her play, but Broadway tickets don't come cheep." Spider-Man explained. He sighed.

"Bernard, your old butler that you bought your old house... he says he misses you. He wanted me to tell you that. I think he suspects I'm Spider-Man." Spider-Man said. He sighed.

"Honestly, with how much technology seems to get better, it's getting harder and harder to keep my identity a secret. But I adapt. MJ and Aunt May misses you. Can you do me a favor and tell Uncle Ben that I miss him for me? I know I just told him, but.... well, you know how it's like to lose the people who raised you. I'm sorry by the way. I honestly wish I could have saved Norman somehow. Saved Norman and stopped the Goblin. But anyway, I miss you. See you around Harry." Spider-Man said before leaping into the air and swinging away. Just then another man walked into the cemetary in a United States army uniform.

(I know... not an army uniform, but I just wanted to show that in my vision of this story, _____ is still played by Joe Manganiello, just like in Spider-Man)

"Whoa, Spider-Man!" He said in awe. As Spider-Man swung away, the army vet sighed.
"Colonel Thompson?" said a man formerly in his unit. Flash Thompson, a man who was once the bully of Peter Parker, was forced to go to military boot camp by his parents after he graduated... where he learned to love the country, and he joined the military. He saved his unit in many battles, and recieved an honorable discharged as a decorated hero of United States military.

"At ease." Flash replied as he sighed.

"May I ask what you are doing here?" the man asked. Flash nodded.

"I'm here to visit some of our fallen brothers. It's Bryan's birthday today." Flash replied as he went to a grave that said Bryan Anderson, a man who Flash befriended in the military who died in battle.

"Hey man. It's Flash. I miss you man. You... you were a big reason why I became the man I am today. You.... you saved my life. Told me that if I was so inspired by Spider-Man that I should follow his example and do some good. Well, now... you're an example I follow too. No one get's left behind... because we are family, and a true man never abandons family. That's what you taught me. Happy birthday, Bryan. I miss you so much." Flash said. The man behind saluted and kneeled beside Flash.

"I miss him too." he said as he put a hand on Flash's shoulder.
