A week later

"Flowers... is he serious?"

"Awe it's so cute!" Melanie said.

"He is so desperate."

"Awe!!!" Melanie grabbed onto the flowers and studied them." He is so gonna ask you out and then we can go shopping-"

"Yeah for a little black dress."

"A what?"

"A little black dress, haven't you ever heard of that?" Ashley asked her friend.

"Uh yeah... but I believe for my personal reasons that I will NOT wear a "Little black dress" to my first date.'"

"For personal reasons? You mean for biblical reasons?"

"Well as far as I'm concerned the Bible says nothing against it, but I will not wear a littk black dress on my first date."

"Why?"

"Well as far as I'm concerned. Girls use it to try and mesmerize the boy, and the boy I'm going out with had better already be mesmerized enough with me."

Ashley just stared at her friend.

Was she serious?

"So how's your mom?"

"She's recovering well. You would have never known that a bee sting would keep you in the hospital for three days."

"But she is allergic, right?"

"Yeah... slightly which apparently had grown unto more then slightly in the past years."

"Well then that makes more sense. Doesn't she have a epipen?"

"Nope. It wasn't serious so she never carried one."

"HMm... Well she should now."

"Yeah the doctor prescribed one."

"Oh well that's good."

"So what are your thoughts on Nick?" Ashley asked as she looked at the note that had come with the flowers.

I tried to call the night of bowling to see if everything was okay. You guys left in quite a rush. My call went straight to voicemail and I sound awful on voice recordings so I didn't leave one, anyway I hope you enjoy these flowers. I wasn't sure what kind you like, I have been praying for your mom, I found out on Sunday that your mom had gone to the hospital. So I've been praying a lot for your family. "So what's in the envelope?" Melanie leaned over my shoulder.

I opened it and a gasp escaped my throat.

Melanie took the note and the envelope and read aloud.
