Chapter 9
The next morning, during breakfast, Fives was in full-on shipper mode.
"You guys look tired," he commented.
"Yeah, well, we were up late," Ahsoka said, reaching for another pancake.
"Really? Doing what?"
"Just talking," Rex told him. Fives rolled his eyes.
"Why wasn't I invited to the party?"
"Because of this!" Ahsoka exclaimed.
"What?" Fives asked, looking innocent.
"The shipper thing," Ahsoka grumbled.
Fives dropped it.
That night, Ahsoka found Rex on the roof.
"What are you doing up here?"
"Looking at the stars," Rex admitted.
"They're incredible out here."
"Yeah."
They were silent for a moment.
"Hey, Ahsoka?" Rex asked. "About the shipper thing..."
Ahsoka turned bright red. "Don't worry about it."
"Because I have something to tell you."
Ahsoka didn't say anything.
"Because..." Rex took a deep breath. "I do like you- like, the way Fives thinks I do. And I have for a long time."
Ahsoka turned to him. "You mean that?"
Rex sighed. "Yes."
"I feel the same way."
Rex stared at her. "Really?"
"Yes. And now that the no attachments rule has been lifted, maybe..."
So this wasn't a great chapter. I'm tired, and just wrote this on the spot.
