-Chapter Two-

Stormpaw growled, the stench of ShadeClan growing stronger, as she went farther into the depths of the forest. There were about two cats, one being younger than Stormpaw, the other being a little bit older than her. She could see a little black cat, with a white stripe down it's face. "Who are you?" She questioned, coming into view of the cat.

"I-I'm Badgerpaw! W-Who are you?!" The ShadeClan apprentice questioned, fear coating her voice.

"Stormpaw. What are you doing in ForestClan territory?" She growled.

"O-Oh! I'm s-sorry, I didn't r-realize.." Badgerpaw looked at the ground sheepishly.

"Who are you with, kit?"

"G-Grayleap, my mentor. And I'm an apprentice. Not a kit." The black and white she-cat declared.

Stormpaw stared at her for a moment. "Could have fooled me."

Badgerpaw's eyes narrowed, as a gray cat emerged from the bushes.

"Enough." The older warrior stated firmly. "Look, Stormpaw, I'm sorry that we intruded on your territory, but kit-fighting is not needed."

"You shouldn't be on my territory!" Stormpaw hissed, her claws digging into the ground.

"I know, I know. It's against the Warrior Code." Grayleap rolled his eyes.

Stormpaw scoffed, and shook her head. "You seriously think that this is about the Warrior Code?" She snickered.

Badgerpaw tilted her head in confusion. "Y-You don't believe in the Warrior Code?"

The dark gray she-cat shook her head. "Nor do I believe in StarClan." she admitted, earning a gasp from Badgerpaw.

"Why, may I ask?" Grayleap questioned.

"Because.. If StarClan was real, then my mother.." She took a step forward. "Wouldn't have been killed.." And another. "When I was just two moons old!" She snarled, cuffing the ShadeClan warrior's ear.

"I'm sorry that happened to you, but it is not StarClan's fault."

"As if you would know anything about StarClan, Kittypet!" Stormpaw teased.

"I'm not a Kittypet! I'm ShadeClan blood through-and-through!" Grayleap arched her back.

"Is-Is that what they told you?!" Stormpaw laughed. "What..what do you think happened to your mom?!"

"She died, shortly after I was born!" The gray tom snarled defensively. "What would you even know?! you're from ForestClan!"

"Gatherings, elders.. Have you never heard the tale of the ShadeClan cat, Viperclaw, and the Kittypet, Midnight? Who had three kits... Victoria, Darkkit, and...." She paused. "Graykit."

Grayleap was shocked, furious, and mortified. "You don't know anything!" He yowled, charging at Stormpaw, claws unsheathed.

The gray tom's claws scraped across Stormpaw's face, giving her a scratch on her cheek. "You want to battle, Kittypet?" She challenged. The ForestClan she-cat attempted to jump onto Grayleap's back, but he bit her hind leg in the air, and she grunted in pain. As she came crashing down, she sloppily lashed her claws at the older cat's back, creating a wobbly and small scratch.

The opponent tom slashed into her ear, making a bleeding nick in the gray she-cat's ear. She growled, swiping her claws across his chest, and as soon as she did, he charged into her, knocking her against a tree. She fell to the ground, attempting to catch her breath. She felt a sharp pain on her tail, which was sticking out from behind her, and Grayleap was biting and pulling at it.

Stormpaw hissed, and twisted around, clawing at his nose. She attempted to run to a tree opposite her, but as she was halfway there, she felt a heavy weight on her back. She stumbled around, remembering her training. She wasn't sure what this battle move was called, but she enjoyed it. She liked to think she invented it-And liked to call it the Tree Crush. As the painful sting of teeth digging into her neck near her scruff, and a tightening claw grip on her shoulders and lower back, Stormpaw ran full speed at a tree, quickly turning so her back-and Grayleap-were squished against the harsh, rough trunk. The impact was painful, but she imagined that it was probably more painful for her opponent.

She heard a wheeze coming from the cat behind her, as she stumbled onto all four paws. "You.. done yet... Kitty..pet?" She teased through heavy breaths. Her question was answered, as Grayleap fell to the ground, gasping for air, before falling unconscious.
She turned to see the frightened gaze of Badgerpaw, trembling in the shadows. "Sorry you had to see that." Stormpaw meowed unemotionally.

"Y-You could have k-killed him!" Badgerpaw yowled.

"I know, you're lucky I didn't." The gray she-cat responded, licking some blood off her fur.

"Y-You're crazy. I-I don't ever want to see you again!" She cried.

"Okay, we're from different clans anyways." Stormpaw flinched at her words. Usually she wouldn't care.. But why did hearing those words from a cat she just met pain her?

"L-Leave." Badgerpaw stated, staring at the ground. Stormpaw didn't move.

"I said leave!" She hissed, bringing her paw down harshly onto Stormpaw's head.

She nodded, and headed off to her clan. "Sorry about your mentor, but he's just unconscious, he'll be fine. He wouldn't have lost his life to an apprentice like me anyways." She meowed, before stumbling back to camp.

She felt eyes burn into her pelt, and turned back to see Badgerpaw glaring at her.

As she entered the camp, Adderpaw and Moonpaw crashed into her. "We were so worried about you! What happened?!" Adderpaw asked frantically.

"I went for a walk, and a ShadeClan warrior and I got into a fight. It's nothing." She assured. "You should have seen what I gave him!" The apprentice forced a laugh, as her siblings chuckled around her. As her eyes darted around the clearing, she noticed a pair of golden eyes in the forest.

Badgerpaw??

A/N
I hope Stormpaw didn't seem like too much of a Mary-Sue in this, I tried my hardest to not make her Little Miss Perfect Murderer, but if it happened, please let me know. Also, I have a 'cliche' couple in mind. And as you can tell, I cannot write battle scenes
