CHAPTER NINETEEN
ALISTAIR
I was giddy with excitent as I pulled a comfy shirt over my head. It was stretchy and fitted my body perfectly. Made me look like a real stud, I swear. I laughed, shaking my head.
As I slipped on a pair of flip flops, my phone dinged. It was a message from Jonathan. His contact was labeled 'Johnny Boy' just because the nickname annoyed him. Of course, there were also some heart eyes and kissy emojis next to his name, but I don't think he minds those.
Jonathan and I aren't yet official, but I've been waiting for him to just pop the question for ages now. It's been two weeks since the event at my house. We had shared plenty of kisses since then, but we still haven't had sex either. Well, besides that one night when I first really met the guy.
I shook my head, still smiling, before reading his message.
U ready yet, cute stuff? - Johnny Boy 😍😘💖❤💋
I rolled my eyes, my heart fluttering in my chest. He called me cute stuff! Wasn't he just precious?
Yep. Come and get me, handsome ;) - You
Normally, I would have complained about the nickname he gave me and pretend I didn't like it. Or have flirted a bit longer.
But today was special. Jonathan and I were going to be together as an item... At a party. Just the thought of it made me want to squeal with excitement.
Goodness gracious, I sounded like a preteen girl going to see a Justin Beiber concert. I needed to calm down a bit, I told myself. I smoothed my shorts out before striding to the door of my bedroom, phone in hand.
I headed down the stairs, contemplating sliding down the hand rail. I didn't really want to bust my face in, so I decided it would be better if I didn't.
I stuffed my hands in my pockets, whistling as I paced down the hallway. I passed by Miss Mary, the head maid. I waved, flashing a friendly smile.
As I approached the front door, my phone dinged. I checked my messages, seeing that Jonathan had sent another message.
I'm on my way! - Johnny Boy 😍😘💖❤️💋
My smile widened. So focused on my the phone in my hands, I didn't realize someone was in front of me until I about crashed into them.
Dainty hands steadied means I yelped, looking up and meeting eyes with my mother. "Mom! I didn't see you!"
She chuckled. "I can see that. You need to be more careful, Alistair."
I blushed. "Sorry. Jonathan just texted me. He's coming to pick me up."
My mom smiled, her eyes twinkling. "You really care for that boy, don't you?"
I nodded, almost violently, probably looking similar to a bobble head. "He's just so sweet and funny! And handsome."
My mother smirked. "He is quite the looker. If I was any younger-"
"Ew, mom! That's so gross! And you're married!" I screeched, my face scrunching in disgust.
My mother practically folded over in her fit of laughter. I eyed her warily. "Are you alright?"
She nodded, still giggling. I rolled my eyes. "Woman, you need to take a chill pill."
She sighed, nodding as she wiped her eyes. The melodic tune played by the doorbell rang out and I grinned.
"That's my ride."
My mother smiled. "You have fun. But, oh, wait! I have a gift for Jonathan. You go out, I'll be right behind you."
I shot her a long look, suspicious. "Okay..." I said slowly, heading towards the exit.
I unlocked the door and opened it to see Jonathan's charming face. He was smiling, his arm behind his back. Dressed in blue jeans that hugged all the right places and a simple T-shirt that stretched across his road chest, he looked amazing. He leaned forward, pecking me on the cheek.
"Hi there. Don't you look nice," I smiled, looking him up and down.
Jonathan chuckled, the tips of his ears pinking. I wanted to just coo at his slightly flustered appearance. I wondered to myself if he was as nervous about this as I was.
Jonathan took my hand in his hand before pulling out a box from behind his back. I eyed it curiously. "What's that?"
Jonathan smiled. "Open it." He said softly.
I shot him a nervous look, laughing slightly. I took it, slowly opening the box. I gasped, my hand coming up to cover my mouth.
I carefully took the gift out, admiring it. It was a bracelet. Not a fancy or expensive one that was too shiny, but handmade. He had woven together strings and it was beautiful. I slipped it onto my wrist.
"Thank you so much, Jon!" I said, wrapping him in a hug.
"I was afraid you wouldn't like it..." He murmured in my ear. "I know it's a little girly... You don't have to wear it if you don't want to."
"No! I love it! Besides, I've been feeling a little girly lately," I giggled.
Jonathan smiled. "Nothing wrong with that."
Our perfect little moment was, of course, ruined by my mom. "Awwwww! You guys are adorable! But don't you guys have a party to go to?"
I pulled away from Jon, although I really didn't want to. "Yeah, yeah we do..."
Jonathan took my hand, leading me to the car. Like a gentleman, he even opened the car door for me. I laughed and sat down, buckling up. Just as Jonathan was about to get in on his side, my mom stopped him.
"Mr. Miller, could you come here a moment?" She called, her voice sickly sweet.
I cast Jonathan a worried look. He just shrugged. He walked back over to her. I couldn't hear what they were saying, but I saw my mom hand Jon a box. What was it? A bomb? A box of snakes? Some nice smelling lotion?
As Jonathan made his way back to the car, getting in, he was flushed red. "What was that all about?" I asked.
Reluctantly, he handed me the box, starting the car up. It only took me a second to realize what it was. Condoms. But not just any type. Extra Large, grape-flavored, ribbed condoms.
My eyes grew to the size of saucers. "Mom!" I shrieked.
I could hear her devious cackling as we drove away. Were her expectations for tonight actually going to come true?
Hi. I know, I'm like half a year late. But I did it! I wrote another chapter! And another will be out hopefully next week? I think I might be able to get back on schedule. Lots of love! Hope you enjoyed! 💖❤️💋😍
