Chapter Two
A/N: Ok, writers block decided to attack me again. Sorry that it's sort of boring, but I SWEAR next chapter will be exciting, I'll be introducing a new character next chapter! So here is the chapter!
Sunrise returned to the web at sunset, after she talked to her friends about Valley Academy. Apparently, Silver was going and Muga was not. Muga's brother, Berry, was going though. When Sunrise got back, her mothers partner, Fuchsia, was there.
"Hi Sunrise!" Fuchsia exclaimed. "Where have you been? I found a new company that sells honey drops that are great! Come here, you should try some!" He ran to somewhere else as Mother rolled her eyes.
"You're going to Valley Academy," she whispered as Sunrise walked by.
"I am?" Sunrise said, her voice rising with excitement.
"Don't tell Fuchsia. Yet." Mother added. "I don't want him to know yet."
"Got it!" Sunrise called as she ran after Fuchsia.
"What were you two talking about?" Fuchsia asked.
"School stuff." Sunrise lied. "Umm, i have some homework to do!" She grabbed the honey drop and ran away.
"How can I choose only THREE BOOKS to bring?" Sunrise muttered to herself. Out of her hundreds of books, her Mother said she could only bring three. So she narrowed it down to twenty. And now have been pacing for HOURS about what she should bring.
She grabbed "Legend Of The Hives" out of the pile. It was a special one Silver got her, since the Hives didn't sell it. Sunrise had no idea how she got it. But she couldn't let the HiveWings of Mother find it.
Sunrise surveyed the books again and grabbed the book about the tribes of Pantala. It had several notes on theories about why nobody was allowed to see the Book of Clearsight. She couldn't let anyone see that either.
One more... Sunrise grabbed her art book as well. Apparently, it was from her father, who she had never met. A few drawings were from him, and the rest were from her.
"I GOT MY BOOKS, MOM! CAN WE GO EARLY?" Sunrise called. "I WANT TO GET AWAY FROM THE HIVE!"
"SHHHHHHHHH!" her Mother shouted. "And maybe."
Sunrise stuffed the books into a bag, grabbing a few silk sculptures, and a scroll to write and draw in. She smiled at it with satisfaction.
Her mother walked into the room.
"Your done?" She said with just a HINT of sarcasm in her voice.
"Yeah." Sunrise said. "So can I go early?"
"Well..." Mother said. "It would take a day or two to get there anyway. So tomorrow."
"UGHHHHHHHHHH," Sunrise complained. "Cant we just spend a day in the savanna?" But her mother was already walking out of the room.
"ARGHHHHHH." Sunrise snapped a silk strand in half. "Why is it always that we have to wait another DAY?" She hated living in Cicada Hive.
Sunrise stormed onto the web for the second time that day and glared at the ocean. It wouldn't even TAKE that long to get there.
"Hi Sunrise!"
Silver jumped beside her. "I'm really excited to go to Valley Academy, aren't you? I'm going in ten minutes!"
"WHAT?" Sunrise growled. "I have to wait till TOMORROW!"
"I'll convince your mother!" Silver said. "I'm really convincing!"
"Fine," Sunrise said. "I'm staying here though."
"Don't worry." Silver said. "You will be going within these ten minutes."
Sunrise have been waiting for five minutes. Every now and them, she would hear Silver's voice, but that was it. She realized she have been cutting through the layers of silk on the web and brought her talon back.
"GUESS WHAT!" Silver nearly jumped on Sunrise. She didn't wait for Sinrise to reply. "WE GET TO GO RIGHT NOW!"
Sunrise whirled around. "SERIOUSLY! YOU ARE A GENIUS!"
"I know I am." Silver bragged. 'Grab your stuff! I'm quickly getting my parents!"
"Where are you going?" Fuchsia asked as Sunrise and her Mother walked to the web.
"Sunrise is going to a special school for SilkWings." Mother said.
"Where?" Fuchsia asked.
"Err... a island?" Sunrise tried.
"WHAT!?" Fuchsia roared. He reared up and flared his wings.
"Meet me at Silver's house." Mother wispered. She turned to Fuchsia and shoved her out the door. Sunrise made a run twords Silver's house, until she reached the enterance to the Hive.
Silver lived at the other side of the Hive. Sunrise just had to try to get past the checkpoint fast.
"Halt!" The HiveWing said. "Name?"
Sunrise did a slight eye roll. "Sunrise," she muttered. She showed her wristband, with the letters T and P in it. She knew her mother's name, Psyche, but had no idea what her fathers was. Sunrise called him Tasar in her head.
The HiveWing grunted and moved to the side. As soon as she was away, she ran down to the other side of the Hive. It felt like ages until she was there.
"Sunrise!" Silver exclaimed when she saw her. "You're here! Where's your mother?"
"Fighting with Fuchsia," Sunrise sighed. "He got upset that I was leaving."
"Well, then we can start going." Silver said. "Mom!" Silver ran onto the web to a golden SilkWing. "Can dad bring Sunrise? Psyche is fighting with Fuchsia!"
The gold SilkWing paused. "Then Psyche probably won't be coming." The gold SilkWing said finally. "Fuchsia doesn't give in to a fight until he gets what he wants."
"So he won't stop till I come back." Sunrise finished.
"If she remembers what the Chrysalis told her, she will make sure to bur-" The gold SilkWing stopped.
"Mom, if you have been keeping a secret from me..." Silver started.
"It's fine," the SilkWing said, fanning out her wings. "It's fine. Let's go to Valley Academy."
