Chapter Three

A/N: Finally a new chapter is here! I worked pretty hard on it! I'm hoping next chapter they will be at Valley Academy, but the story can go different sometimes.
The new character in this chapter, Silver, and Sunrise, are sort of my best friends including me. Silver is a LOT like my best friend from school, Sunrise is umm
My friend who has a bit of anger issues
And the new character is sort of me.
Ok READ ON, READ ON

After they went down onto the savanna, Silver started talking nonstop. She started talking about a remark someone made TWO YEARS AGO and then started talking about how she got into a fight with someone at school, and then Sunrise started wanting to read a book, and Silver's parents wouldn't let her. So she was stuck with Silver.
"And then the teacher gave me the top mark in class!" Silver exclaimed. "Ok, what should we do?"
         "Keep walking?" Sunrise suggested.
"Nah!" Silver said. "You MUST have a story to share! Surely you have had a fight with Attacus lately!"

A/N: Another example of my life. When she says "Surely you had a fight with Attacus lately!" It's sort of talking about my enemy/bully who picks on me and my BFF a lot at school.

"I've been keeping my distance," Sunrise said. She lowered her voice. "What was your mom talking about when she said something about the Chrysalis?"
"It's not like I would know!" Silver exclaimed. "All I got was that I could join it once I got wings! And then she muttered something like 'if she doesn't get taken away'."
"So I'm assuming there is a plan for how we get there?" Sunrise asked, trying to change the topic.
"We are going to rest on the outskirts of Jewel Hive," Silver said. "Then continue in the morning. Hopefully without trouble."

Somehow, they reached Jewel Hive in the late evening. Sunrise thought it would be much longer.
"So tomorrow we get to be at Valley Academy?" Sunrise asked.
"I hope so," Silver's mother said. The golden SilkWing from earlier was apparently Silver's mother, and now when they were in the dark, Sunrise could see lots of light blues, dark purples, and pinks here and there. "I'm hoping HiveWings don't come down here."
"Do we keep watch?" Silver asked. "Because on the way here me and Sunrise made a bet for when we would get here, and I won! So she has to keep watch!"
"It will be best if someone keeps watch," Silver's mother said.
"Fine," Sunrise growled. "I'm getting you back tomorrow, Silver."
"We'll see!" Silver bragged. Then she gave Sunrise a smug face and walked off with her family, which was SUPER ANNOYING.
A snap came from the grass, not from where Silver went.
Sunrise whirled around. It can't be a dragon. Maybe it's just a scorpion... or a lion... just please not a dragon.
It was a dragon. It was a SilkWing, without wings, but Sunrise still attacked.
"Ack!" The new dragon went into a roll and ducked under Sunrise. She jumped somewhere a bit farther away from Sunrise, but didn't flee.
"Why would you do that?" The new dragon asked. "You could have killed me! Was I supposed to shout 'Hello, I'm just coming pass someone's camp for the night'?"
"So maybe you were supposed to." Sunrise growled. "You could have been a HiveWing, which is the LAST TRIBE we need right now!"
The SilkWing tilted her head at Sunrise. "Are you going to Valley Academy?"
           "Are you?" Sunrise asked spectily.
"How would I know about it if I wasn't going?" The new dragon barked. "Why haven't we don't introductions yet? I'm Cloudless."
           Sunrise paused. "I'm Sunrise."
"Pretty name!" Cloudless said. "Is anyone else here?"
"My friend Silver and her parents."
"Now you all get the pretty names, and I'm stuck with the boring one!" Cloudless complained. Sunrise had no idea why; she was thinking the same thing about her name.
Cloudless jumped forwards and clasped her talons with Sunrise. "Can I come with you? I have been travelling for about two days! Maybe three! I REALLY want company!"
Sunrise paused again. She was pretty sure her mother would like it if a random dragon joined them.
But they were all going to Valley Academy...
And how would Cloudless get there without wings?
"Fine," Sunrise said, shaking Cloudless's talon. "Welcome to the team."
