A few months passed and I had been living my life simply until one particular night when I received phone call from Carmellita. I was surprised and answered immediately.

"Melody," she choked out. She seemed to be hysterical.

"Carmellita? What's going on?"

"Can you come to get me? I'm at the park."

"Absolutely! Are you OK?"

"Just hurry."

She hung up.

I sped to the park and when she saw me pull in she hopped into the front seat and I left.

"Carmellita, what's wrong?"

"I...I'm pregnant with Wayne's child."

"Oh Carm..."

"lo siento," she said."I am so sorry"

"It's ok"

"No it's not Melody!! Wayne and I broke up two weeks ago. And now he's engaged." She chocked back another sob. "My rent is overdue, I have no place to go."

"You're wrong. You have someplace to go. You'll stay with me. No objections."
