Simone

Just before Dawn the four of them packed up their camp and continued on the road again. True to the schedule they made it to the small town of Simone. The Merchants picked up more supplies to deliver and he decided to stretch his legs a bit, while they were busy.

Most of the buildings were houses, but there was a street with store fronts as well. He looked around a little bit and then stepped into a Diner to grab a quick lunch. Like everyone else in the town he passed, the people in the diner stared at him as he entered. They acted like he was an alien or something.

He felt kind of the same way, though. This town and the people were unfamiliar to him and it felt alien to be in an unfamiliar place.

"Can I help you, young man?" A woman's voice asked from his left and he looked over to the lady at the counter. "I don't believe I've ever seen you in town before. You lost or something?" she added.

"To be honest this is the first time I've ever been here. I'm just passing through," he admitted and the kind lady motioned for him to come sit down. Keeping it simple he just ordered the soup of the day and glanced around the little diner. There were two guards, an armed guy who must've been a bounty hunter or something similar, and a few townspeople. The Bounty Hunter guy stood and moved into the seat next to him.

"Hey, Kid, I don't know who you are, but those kinds of weapons aren't toys to play with. You'd be better off going back to whatever backwater village you came from," The man said motioning to his sword. He glanced over his shoulder to the hilt of his sword then looked back at the man next to him.

"Thanks for your concern, Sir, but you are correct, you don't know me. I may be younger than you, but I don't carry this sword for fun. So please keep your judgemental opinions to yourself," He replied as the nice lady set his bowl of soup down in front of him. Once his attention was drawn away the man grunted in anger and stomped back over to his table. He was finally able to eat in peace and then decided to head back to the wagon before they end up leaving him behind.

After thanking the nice woman and paying her he left the Diner. Once he made his way back he was relieved they were still there. He helped them load the last crate into the wagon and hopped in the back as well.

As they pulled away he couldn't help looking back towards the way they came from. It was really starting to hit him that he won't be seeing his home for quite some time. He will miss them all and he hopes that he'll get the chance to visit sometime soon.

The next stop on his Journey to the Capitol would be the town of Ralton, where he will inevitably part ways with the Merchants and the wagon. From Ralton he'll have to hike on foot for about a day to the small town of Edden. He'll be staying in Edden for the day, then continue on foot for another 4 to 5 days to the mountain city of Fagan.
