Chapter 3🌻
Lola's POV
I felt myself sigh for the fiftieth time this hour.
I should have waited for the money to land before spending it.
"When would he send it nau?!" I heard Kosi asked as she groaned in frustration.
Na your money?!
"He said soon" I told her as I stretched my right leg towards the floor, trying to pick up my phone with my toes.
I was too lazy to get up.
Kosi shook her head at my act of laziness as she pushed my head off her laps roughly as I found myself falling off the 10 inched bed.
"Owwww!! Ahn ahn..." I yelled at her as I laid on the floor with my back pressed to the floor and one hand massaging my side.
"At least, now you can pick up your phone" She told me as I gave her a playful glare before grabbing my phone and deciding to stay on the floor.
I opened my last message with him to see if he had sent anything new, but he hadn't.
I sighed again as I dropped my phone and just stared at the ceiling.
So, here's the reason for my constant sighing.
Two months ago, this young man offered to give me all the money in his account and I gladly accepted it.
He might have been drunk but I don't care.
I didn't steal it. I just accepted it, gratefully.
But it was still wrong, and I knew as soon as he was sober, he would come running back to me, tracking me by my account details and asking for his money.
Even if I refused to give it back, they would sue me or something. I had no idea what those rich snots would do to me, so I acted smart.
Like I usually did.
I called this cousin of mine and ask him to help me out like he usually did.
All I had to do was transfer the money to him, and he would take care of the rest.
I had done this tons of times and I trusted him enough to know he wouldn't run off with my money.
Also, I had something on him, meaning that even if he tried to run with my money, I just had to make one phone call and ruin his life.
Trusted pfttt!! More like trusted the fact that he was doomed if he tried anything stupid.
But it's been two fucking months and he told me he had issues with his account.
His account was being looked into for suspicious activities and he needed time to sort things out.
I guess I could have been able to wait a little longer if I hadn't spent all the money I had on me.
I wouldn't say I lavished all the money I had, but I hadn't been exactly wise when it come to spending.
I paid my little sister's school fees, I paid for her school trip and I took her shopping.
So yes, I didn't lavish. When it comes to spending money on my sister, I would never describe it as lavish, no matter how stupid the purchase could be.
My hands slightly brushed against my head as I felt some strands of hair sticking out of the weaves.
Uhhhh!! My hair was beyond rough.
It looked terrible.
"Look at this hair sef" I complained to Kosi as Kosi glanced at my hair then looked away pretending she hadn't heard me.
Ode!!
Na to only chop money she know.
"Kosi, dear" I called out playfully as I made my voice tiny and blinked repeatedly trying to look cute.
"Leave me o" She warned before shifting towards the other side of the bed.
See her head.
"Please now. Just help me loose this hair. I have been carrying this stupid 'all backʼ for a whole month" I whined as I sat up, showing her the rough strands sticking out.
"Lola, my hands are still paining me from the last time I touched your hair. Ask dara when she gets back" She told me as I scowled, laying back on the floor.
I was getting tired of my hair. But I couldn't bring myself to cut it off like my sister did with hers.
It was one of the main features I had that attracted men to me.
It made me look unique.
Well, here is the secret to my beautiful long and virgin hair.
I am Nigerian-Indian. My sister is too.
Though we spent all our lives here in Nigeria, we still had this light skin and long hair, even though it was curly and pitch black, unlike our mother's straight brown hair.
Our mother is an Indian and my father a Nigerian.
My dad had met my mother at an Indian school, here in Nigeria where she was teaching.
Blah blah blah, they got married. They had two kids and they left their kids to suffer.
Not intentionally, but life was just not smiling on us.
My parents were not dead but well.......
I couldn't bring myself to think about them right now.
All I could say is they were one of the most important reasons I needed money, and fast.
A beep from my phone immediately jolted me out of my thoughts as I tapped my hands on the space beside me, expecting to find my phone.
“Babe!!” I heard Kosi call me with worry as I stopped searching for my phone and glanced at her.
She was holding my phone and she was looking at me with those worry-filled eyes.
“The home texted, Lola. They are asking you to pay before next week or they are transferring her to....” She informed me as her words trailed off, and hung in her throat.
I knew where.
I closed my eyes and placed both my palms on my face as I sighed in frustration.
I needed this money.
“What do we do now?!” Kosi asked me as I heard her move towards me patting my shoulders lightly in a comforting manner.
I knew exactly what to do.
Though I had promised myself not to do this again.
“What else?!” I asked her sitting up as I started digging my nails into the tip of my weaves, which rested on my laps and started loosening them.
“Lola, you promised you won't. If you get caught, you are ruined” Kosi reminded me as I sighed looking at her intently.
“Do you have any other ideas?!” I asked her as she reached for a cutting comb at the far end of the bed and started helping me loose my hair.
“We can come up with something.” She told me as I shook my head, knowing this was the only guaranteed way of earning fast money.
It was very effective and quick.
All I had to do was dupe rich men.
I didn't need a fake traveling agency, or a computer haker.
All I needed was my sexy ass look and my brain.
Otan!

“Thank you” I told the cab driver as I slowly got down, trying to be extremely careful, so I don't trip on my dress.
I wore a wine off-shoulder dress, which was slitted at the right side of the dress, which revealed my thighs a bit.
I closed the car door, stretching a one thousand naira note to the driver as he squinted his eyes, trying to see if it was more than one thousand.
“Ahn ahn Sisi, see as you fine. You no even fit show me small love” The man spoke corniky as he shot me a smile, then a wink.
Is this one mad ni?!
“Oga, he be like say you no wan collect money then” I told him withdrawing my hand as he immediately snatched the one thousand naira off my hands.
You for no collect am. Ideeot!
“Madam, na wa o” He told me with a sigh as I gave me my infamous glare.
Abeg, getat!
I ignored his words as I turned around, walking into the hotel.
Immediately I got into the hotel, I straightened my dress, and applied another round of lipstick and brushed the front of my hair a little bit.
I could see my reflection on the glass door as I examined my look.
I definitely looked classy.
I catwalked towards the receptionist area as I tapped the counter twice as the woman in uniform, shot her head towards me with a smile.
“Hello ma'am. Welcome to Parr Hotel. Do you have any reservations ma'am or would you like to make one?!” She asked me as I shot her back a confident smile.
“Actually, I just wanna grab a drink. I'm a member of the hotel. Here is....” I trailed off, searching my bag throughly for the card I had been given.
Of course, I wasn't a member.
But I had a plan.
“Shit! I must have left my membership card” I told her as she scoffed as I frowned at her reaction.
Speaking of peachy service.
“I'm sorry ma'am but you can't...” She started, not looking apologetic at all.
Bitch!
What if I was a real member and I had forgotten my card?!
But whatever, she was about to hate herself big time.
I checked the time on my phone before mentally counting down from five.
Immediately I hit one, a voice erupted from beside me.
“What do you mean?!” I heard the thick ass voice of a young and tall guy, who looked slightly older than me.
He pierced his ears and had this large and expensive chain on his neck as he walked towards us and reaching where I stood.
Before I knew what was happening, he snaked his left arm around my waist as I tensed a bit under his rough touch.
Speaking of a man whore.
I inhaled as I tightened my hand into a fist.
It's fine, Lola.
He was your next target. Just bear it.
I smiled as I looked towards him and bit my lip trying to look sexy.
Ewwwww!!
“Here, she's with me” He told the receptionist with a scowl as she shivered, grabbing the card as the man tightened his grip and around my waist and led me towards the elevator.
Honestly, I hadn't met this man before in my life. And I was sure he hadn't met me either.
I had received some little information about him, from Kosi's brother's friend's brother, who worked at this club.
I know its complicated.
But this was where my brains came in.
All I had to do was predict their actions from the information I have been given and hope things go according to plan.
These informations includes his taste in women, how he spends, what time he arrived and other petty things.
All I had to do was act classy and be smart.
Simple.
“So dear, what is your name?!” He asked me as traced the sides of my face under the pretence of removing a strand of hair from my face.
“Isioma” I told him faking this girlish accent with a confident smile.
What a beautiful name.
“Wow, what a beautiful name!” He complimented as I felt his hands move lower from my waist.
Ughhhh!! This never gets old.
He needed a reaction.
He wanted to find out if I would pull away or allow it.
But I just stayed still.
The things I do for money.
The elevator bell chimed as it slowly opened as we walked into the dimly lit bar.
We walked in as I felt his fingers trace my neck.
“I love this your fair skin. You are beautiful” He told me as I forced up a fake smile and snaked my arm around his.
That will keep him from touching me unnecessarily.
He waved a waiter over as we stood beside a table, as he determined if that was were he wanted to sit.
He was looking at the darkest place in the bar, so he could touch me anyone he liked.
Bastard.
This place was a bit bright, so he urged me to keep walking as he walked with me, with the waiter trailing behind us.
I giggled as he shot me a wink.
I had to react to all this dirty advances.
It was the only way I could make my quick mula.
He had to trust I was shy and harmless.
I looked around the bar and my face froze when I noticed a familiar pair of eyes staring at me from the far end of the bar.
Well, shit!
