Monday, 10th October 2005, Spring

Millie was packing her last few things into her backpack, ready for leaving the next day.

She wasn't happy about having to leave in less then 24hours, but her parents still tried their hardest to convince her that it's worth it.

She gave her friends her number yesterday and they've been texting a lot since, she still doesn't know how she'll cope without them, but at least she can still keep in touch.

"Millie, there's someone at the door!" Her mum called out to her.

She jumped up off her bed and ran down to the door.

Opening the big wooden door reviled a figure behind the gauzed one.

"Lilly?"

"Hi, Millie!" She smiled back.

Millie tore open the gauze door and gave the girl the biggest hug she had ever given anyone.

"I've missed you so much!" Millie cried into Lilly's shoulder.

"I've missed you too, little sis'!"

"Who is it dea-" her mother started to ask till she saw who it was.

"Hey mum." Lilly grinned.

"My child." Their mother cried as she gave Lilly a long hug.

Then their dad came.

"What's going o-" he paused, taking in the surroundings, his wife and young daughter had tear streaked faces and stood with a young adult around the age of 18, standing with her arms out for a hug.

"Father!" She called out as she leaned in and greeted him.

"M-my, my little girl!" He whimpered "How long has it been?"

"I don't know father, but I do know that I'm back."

"Well we won't be here much longer." Millie sighed.

"What do you mean, little sis'?"

"Mum and dad gotta go somewhere for work and so we are all moving somewhere far far away!"

"Like in Shrek?" Lilly giggled.

"No, further!" Millie frowned.

"Well, can I come?" Lilly asked her family.

"Of course sweety!" Their mum smiled.

"If you're gonna help drive." Her dad joked.

"Yay, yay, yay!" Cheered Millie.

They all giggled a little and then they brought Lilly inside to get her some food.

"I'm gonna go make sure Millie's got everything packed and ready, I'll be back in a few minuets for dinner." Their mum said as she took Millie upstairs to her room.

"Ok, I'll cook some food then." Their dad said as he got up and headed to the fridge for some ingredients.

"Can I help?" Asked Lilly.

"Of course, hun. You can be my assistant." Her dad smiled and they got to work.

Millie ran down the steps that lead to the lounge room, she then turned and headed to the kitchen.

Lilly and her father had finished preparing dinner and had laid it out on the table.

Millie jumped up onto her favourite seat that faced out the door and the rest of the family joined them.

Millie and her parents started to munch down their supper but paused when they heard Lilly.

"Dear Lord, please bless this food to our bodies and let it help us grow strong, Amen." Lilly prayed then joined the rest of the family in eating.

Their parents were a bit shocked, they weren't use to people praying before they ate and were not expecting their daughter to.

Millie was shocked as well, but she always looked up to her big sister and so she knew their was a good reason for her sisters new ways.

After they had finished, Lilly helped her mum clean up and her dad took Millie into the lounge room to watch some T.V shows that she loved.

Soon the whole family was snuggled together watching and laughing at the weird shows that were on, they especially loved the Upside-down Show.

But once that was over they decided to get an early night before their trip, so the all went to bed.

And Lilly went into her old room, and it was a huge shock to her that everything was they way it was when she left all those years ago.

She sat down on her bed, and slowly pulled her old blankets up to her neck as she laid down on her bed.

Tears welled up from all her memories flooding back and she slowly cried her self to sleep.
