Jade heads back downstairs. She is now temporarily the leader of the group and is very excited.

She walks down the music hallway, but freezes, realizing something she wished she would have thought of before committing to this. Ethan does not listen to Jade worth a crap. It's nothing but constant arguing when either one of them says anything near each other. This is not a good idea now that I think about it. 

There's nothing she can do now. She promised Alli she would keep everyone safe until she is mentally stable enough to take over again.

"Ethan's just going to have to suck it up and quit being a stubborn baby about everything," Jade mutters. She walks into the band room and finds everyone in the main area. She walks into the office, seeing Ethan unconscious on the couch with Summer at his side.

Jade closes the door behind her and Summer looks up. Her eyes are red and puffy from crying. Jade walks over and kneels beside the upset girl. Summer hugs her tightly and continues crying on Jade's shoulder.

"He just keeps getting worse. He's going to die Jade!" Summer's voice made Jade's heart break into pieces. She doesn't know what to do. She can't tell Summer that Ethan will be alright. Hell, she doesn't even if he's going to make it through the night.

"Summer, I wish there was something we could do. Right now, we just have to have faith and hope he will get through this. He's a strong kid," Jade assures. Summer looks away and nods once, though it's barely noticeable to Jade. "Where's Dakota? I noticed she wasn't in the main part of the room." Summer shrugs.

"Probably in one of the practice rooms or walking around the school-" Summer stops and her eyes widen. "I-I'll be right back." She gets up and runs out of the office and into the halls. Jade debates on whether or not to go after her. She decides to stay back to keep an eye on everyone.

She walks out into the band room, seeing everyone scattered throughout. She goes up to what used to be the whiteboard and gathers everyone's attention.

"Guys, I have an important announcement. Alli is not in the right state of mind to be leading at the moment. So, she has asked me to take over for a while until she has recovered," She announces. Gasps are heard around the room.

"Where is she?" Chloe asks.

"She is in her room. It would be best if no one interacts with her for a while, as she needs some time to think." Jade walks over to Brian, who was signaling for her to come over.

"Jade, you do realize how Ethan is with you. It's constant arguing," He reminds her. Jade nods.

"I know. He's just going to have to get over himself. I am the leader until Alli is back to herself." Brian looks at her in worry. "I know, it's not the best idea, but I made a promise and I cannot break it." He stays silent for a moment.

"Alright. If you need help just come to me. I'll help out the best I can," He says after a moment.

"Thank you, Brian." Jade walks away and over to the office. She looks in and sees Raina tending to Ethan, who has woken up. "How is he?" Raina looks up.

"He's fine. I think he was severely dehydrated as he had the symptoms of it," She explains. "Do I need to check up on Alli?" Jade shakes her head.

"It...it's best if we just leave her alone. She's stressed and needs sleep."

"But-"

"No buts, Raina. We leave her alone unless she comes down here. Even then I don't want people to bombard her with a bunch of questions." Raina nods in understanding.

Jade walks out of the band room and into the hallway when she suddenly hears a scream. Jade freezes in fear. Another scream is heard and Jade runs towards where it's coming from. She runs down the English hallway and sees a wave of zombies entering through the side doors with Dakota and Summer trying to fend them off. Jade jumps in the fight and pulls out her knife, slicing as many of the zombies' throats as possible. Evan and Cheyenne run down the hallway to help out.

After about 5 minutes of non-stop fighting, the wave of zombies is finally killed, providing everyone with relief.

"Were any of you guys bit or injured? If so, please go to Raina immediately," Jade asks the four who were fighting, worried there would be more people injured. They all shake their heads. "Thank god," She sighs. "All of you, back to the band room, now."
