Chapter 2

*Unedited*

~Third Person~

Four days had passed, and Harry, Ron, and Hermione had given up asking why Arien had run away. Mainly because she would always reply "He's a teacher, no way am I sharing a compartment!".

Also because "Go away you jammy dodger!" was becoming something she said on a daily basis. Sure it wasn't new but... every day.
Jammy dodger was Arien's name for Harry when she was cross.

The four reached the dungeon where professor Severus Snape taught potions. They went in, Arien threw her hair around her face, and the usual conversation started.

"Why do you always hide your face from Snape?" Harry asked.
"Because," Arien answered.
"And he never talk in front of him," said Hermione.
"He'll recognise my voice" Arien mumbled.
"Why do you care?" questioned Ron.

"Because I look like my mum and Severus and her hated each other," she invented wildly.
"Why do you always call him Severus instead of Snape?"
"It's his name Ronald," she snapped.
"Well he's a git," replied Ron.
"Don't talk about Severus that way!" she almost yelled.

Arien stomped off, to get the ingredients for the potion they were supposed to be making. The other three hurried after her.

They also left a now very confused Severus Snape who had heard the entire conversation.

***

In the Great hall Harry, Arien, Ron and Hermione were eating lunch.
"Why did you stand up for Snape?" asked Ron incredulously.
"Err... because I saw Sev behind us," Arien made up quickly.
In fact Professor Snape had been behind them, but she didn't know that.

Arien also didn't know that Severus had spent the rest of the day thinking about their conversation. He had hated lots of people, granted, but never someone with black curls. Actually, there had been a girl who was friends with Lily who had gone missing... Could she be her daughter?

Back at the Great Hall, Arein grabbed her bag.
"We've got transfiguration next, Minnie- err McGonagall, won't be pleased if we're late," she said before rushing off.
Dammit! he yelled mentally, I almost gave it away! Minnie was James and Sirius's name for her!

Arien got to class, and not a minute later, the other three came in. Arien, deciding to forgive them (for what they said about Severus), motioned for them to sit with her.
"Over here," she mouthed. Relieved, they came and sat down just as the class started.

"Now everyone," professor McGonagall started. "Today we will be turning our books into guinea pigs. Soon you will be able to-" she broke off and pointed her wand at her desk. McGonagall's desk turned into a big black dog.

Everyone 'ohhed' and 'ahhed' in appreciation. Arien gasped and stared. Three long seconds past; then she started screaming.
"What's wrong?!" cried professor McGonagall over the screaming, feeling extremely worried.
"Don't panic professor!" said Hermione in a panicy voice. "She doesn't like-" And screaming. And screaming. "-black dogs!"
The transfiguration teacher changed the black dog back into her desk.
Arien fainted.

"Really," said professor McGonagall exasperatedly. "If this is about the Grimm-"
"Oh no Professor," Hermione spoke up. "She's just not superstitious, she just... I think the remind her of something..."
"Very well. Miss Granger, take her to the hospital wing. You to Mr Potter, Mr Weasley."

Harry and Hermione pulled Arien's arms over their shoulders and the three left; bringing Arien with them.

A/N: I'm going to be putting this on hold for a while so I can figure out what to do next. I do have some plans though so... I'll be back as soon as I can! Sorry...
