By the looks of the message, I know who it is but I don't trust the message. If the sender isn't 'him' then how did the sender know my name and my number? I decide to text back, asking how the sender knows my name.

     "How do you know my name?" I send my message and then he replies.

     "Because I know you."

     "Then, who are you?"

     "Mitch Daniel Garret, that's who."

     I gasp, knowing that I am text with Mitch all this time. The reason why I don't know that he is texting me because I deleted his number a year ago, not wanting to see his texts ever again. Well, my plan of avoiding Mitch just failed. I need a plan B.

     "What do you want, Mitch?" I send him the message.

     "Just go to the tree. I need to explain what happened before."

     "Mitch, I can't. I am too lazy to go out and I need to do some chores." I partially lied about the chores part. At least, people won't tell that I am lying in a text.

     "Alice, don't lie to me. You are not even lazy at all."

     "Or not..." I mumble to myself. I shouldn't have jinx myself like that. Seriously, how could people tell if I am lying even through a text message?!

     "Seriously, Mitch, I can't go."

     "Fine. But I am still going to wait for you, even if you change your mind or not."

     "Okay, be that way. I am not responsible if you are sick the next day."

     After that message, I haven't receive another text from Mitch. With a sigh escaping from my lips, I delete the message thread I had with Mitch. I walk to the bed and hide my phone under the pillow, not wanting to hear another ringtone from it. I lie down on the bed and crawl under the sheets, thinking about what just happened.

     "Why is he so persistent to meet up with me?" I mumble to myself. "If he wants to be that way, just leave him do it. In the end, I'm not the person to be blamed."

     Endless thoughts and questions are restlessly running around in my head. I don't care if I am skipping dinner again, I just want this day to be over with it. As soon as I think about it, my eyelids get heavy and I fall asleep for the night
