Chapter 6
Siren's POV
When I came to, the sound of battle surrounded me. I groggily lifted my head and looked bleary eyed to my right. There was a lot of bright flashes and color changes between black and gray. A ringing in my ears told me something wasn't quite right.
The battle wouldn't focus in my eyes, so I turned towards my left. Underneath a crater in the cracked wall was a blurry form. Seemed to be unconscious by the lack of movement. It took a second, but I soon recognized the white clothing of Lady Order.
Pushing myself up, I staggered tiredly over to my lady. She was unharmed, but out of commission. Putting one hand on the wall to steady myself, I turned back towards the flashes. Once my vision focused, the two battling became named, Lord Chaos and End.
I blinked a few times more, observing the fight. It seemed evenly matched, but it would be awhile until someone tired. Glancing at Lady Order, I got an idea. Reaching out to her, I touched her arm.
Glowing with energy, I stood without help of the wall. Carefully and quietly I stalked towards the two brothers. Too caught up in battle, my slowly stride was unnoticed. Of course, being an assassin and previous avoider of the deities it wasn't that hard. I stuck to the wall and walked on the balls of my feet.
I waited for an opening, slowly drawing a dagger from my chest. Once I saw it, I quickly lunged in between Lord Chaos and End. Twirling swiftly, I caused a gash that embedded itself across End's chest, before spinning out of his reach.
End's roar of anger answered my attack. He turned towards me, fury in his eyes. I kept my face impassive, but moved closer to Lord Chaos. End eyed us warily. Without warning a blast of gray energy hit Lord a Chaos directly in the chest, sending him backwards a couple of feet.
I had my dagger ready, so I met his attack before making another of my own. Sending a calculated slash, his parry allowed me to get in close and grip the handle of his weapon. Turning, so both of us were facing milord and lady, I wrenched the blade out of End's hand and turned it on him.
It was quickly kicked out of my my hand, flying towards the other side of the room. Although I still had all my weapons, End still was someone of higher power than me. End's eyes narrowed in on someone behind me. Instead of turning, I stretched my senses over water and mind to see who was behind my back.
The mind was familiar, so I didn't worry, but instead of one body behind me I felt two. I fell back, holding back a scream as End's teeth clenched into forearm. Cursing myself for the momentary distraction, I fell on my bottom with End's teeth still injected into my skin.
I kicked him leg up and his pained squeal told me he wouldn't be having kids anytime soon, but the hold on my skin loosened. I pulled back my other arm and decked End in the face. He fell back, I clenched my teeth as I felt my skin leave with him.
End spit to the side a bloody piece of something that looked suspiciously like the hole in my forearm. I felt two presences behind me and I knew without even looking up it was Lord Chaos and Lady Order. I crab walked backwards until I hit their legs, sitting on their feet. I cradled my torn up arm to my chest and pointed my dagger at End.
He glared and moved forward, but hesitating when we all moved offensively. End snarled, disappearing in a gray light. I took several deep breaths before I turned to look up at my Lord and Lady. They felt my gaze and looked down to me frowning.
Lord Chaos held out his hand to me. I clutched it with my uninjured arm and pulled myself up. I held pressed my arm to my chest and glanced around. Besides the ruined wall, nothing else was seriously damaged. I turned towards the cell, at the door was the rest of the Orbitals trying to break it down.
In the corner was the guard lying in a bloody pool. A happy face drawn on his throat, but I don't think he's very happy. I walked over to the corner, swiping my hand and removing the blood. Ignoring the guard, I tapped a series of combinations that I heard before and the door opened.
The team spilled out of the cell and rushed towards us. They reached Lord Chaos and Lady Order first, so I turned to the dead guard. I pressed two fingers to his forehead and mouthed a blessing for a nice afterlife.
"Siren."
I turned. It was Lord Chaos. He beckoned me over. Surprisingly, Snake came over and wrapped an arm around my shoulders in a reassuring gesture. Glad he wasn't mad at me, I leaned into his touch.
"Give me your arm, Commander." Lord Chaos said.
I offered it to him. Gently, Lady Orders fingers prodded it. It didn't hurt that bad compared to other things so I didn't react. Her frown increased, she looked at Chaos who gripped the inured part. I gritted my teeth, but didn't move. Heat crept up from his hand and I felt my skin knitting itself back together. I nodded my head in thanks.
"How did he get out?" Lord Chaos asked.
"I'm not sure, I had passed out by then, but it's recorded." I responded curtly, shame pouring off me for my failure.
"What did he get?" Lord Chaos questioned.
I put my head down,"I'm not sure, my Lord. He didn't speak a word to me since I've been with him."
"Very well, Commander." Lord Chaos frowned, clearly displeased,"Why were you in the cell?"
"I went to interrogate, my Lord." I bowed, I should have been more careful. I was so disappointed in myself.
"I see." Lord Chaos remarked,"Get up, Siren."
Hastily, I stood, but I kept my head bowed. I felt the team behind me sympathize with my situation. I didn't need their sympathy, I did this to myself. Lord Chaos grabbed my arm and started pulling me away. The grip wasn't rough, but it was firm. I followed him like a dog would when they knew they did something wrong.

Snake POV
I wanted to say to Chaos that it wasn't Siren's fault, but I felt like he knew that already. We all knew it wasn't his fault, but it seems like Siren's the only one who didn't think that. I could practically smell the stench of shame emanating off of him.
If he had half a mind right now, he'd probably feel the guilt I felt at the moment, but he was too caught up in his self disappointment. Chaos was probably going to speak to him alone about this.
When I turned around, Star was glaring at me. I glared back, why shouldn't I comfort my boyfriend when he's in distress? I'll tell him later, right now was not the time. She walked by me, hitting her shoulder with mine.
I didn't watch her go, instead glaring at the team who stared at us confused. Once I heard her footsteps gone, I followed out the only exit to my room.

Dawn's POV
That was weird. Obviously something happened between our two generals. I glanced at my brother and sisters in comrades, they shrugged mystified by the situation too. Order had left with Chaos so it was only the captains left.
"I hope Lord Chaos talk with the Commander goes well." Harmony said, to change the topic.
I nodded agreeing,"He didn't look too good."
"Well, he thinks it was his fault." My brother put out,"It kinda was."
"It was not." Ebony retorted, rounding on Crest.
"Well, if Siren didn't go into the cell, then End couldn't have stolen his look and gotten out." Crest claimed.
"To be fair, Siren didn't know it was End." Harmony defended,"And it could have happened to anyone that went in who was of Chaos and Order's army."
"They're right, brother." I claimed.
Crest just glared at me mad that I wasn't taking his side, but shrugged none the less, seeing the truth in our words. I grabbed his arm and lead him to the cafeteria. He was probably just mad that he didn't get to finish his favorite meal.
He grumbled, but stopped slouching as we neared the cafeteria. We didn't talk on the way so we were pretty quiet. Right before we turned the corner, my brothers arm stopped me. He put a finger to his lips and peeked around the corner.
His face dramatically paled and his eyes widened so much he looked like a hutor from Celestia. I stepped forward to see what caused him to be like this when Crest snapped back into reality. He frantically pulled me back to stop me, but I fought him.
When I turned the corner, my heart stopped. I could feel my face pale as much as Crest's did and took a step back, running into my brother. He feel, back landing on the floor with a yelp that distracted the two in front of me.
Sky blues eyes connected with mine. His dark haired partner glanced at us confused. Snake looked at us with fear in his eyes, because the dark haired person he was kissing passionately a minute before was not Siren.
They had longer hair, cerulean blue eyes, and parts a male did not have. Luckily they were both dressed, but the obvious groping was there. The pendant around her neck signifies that she was under Harmony, but the color made it that she came after Siren was commander. So she didn't know he had a boyfriend, but we did.
"W—what are you doing, Snake?" My voice cracked.
"I—nothing of your concern, Dawn."
"It is our concern when you're getting off with someone other than our Commander." Crest spat viciously, his shock wearing off.
"What?" The girl huffed, turning on Snake,"You're in a relationship?"
"Yes..." Snake answered dutifully.
"With the Commander?" She snapped.
"Yes." Snake said, no expressing any emotion.
"How dare you do this to him!" She growled, surprising Crest and I,"I know him, he saved my life and my family's lives. He's the reason I'm here, to repay him for saving us, but now I'm going to have to do more."
A resounding slap came from the two. Next thing I heard was a pained cry from Snake as her knee met Snake's manhood. My brother and I cringed in sympathy, but knew we deserved it. The girl stormed away clearly angry.
We stared down sadly at our General. He just lost our respect and it would take a lot to earn it back. We all saw how happy our commander had been with Snake, but now that Snake was cheating on him? After all Siren's been through, this would truly change him.
"I hope you have a good explanation for this." I said warningly.
"Ask Star, she can tell you." Snake said getting up.
"Why not you?" My brother demanded.
"I've got to go find Siren." Snake settled.

Siren's POV
"Siren, we're not here to discuss how End escaped." Lord Chaos said,"We're here to talk about how you think it's your fault."
"It is my fault." I explained,"If I didn't go in there, End wouldn't have—"
"You went in the cell under the impression that we had End's commander and the cell blocked out any powers." Lord Chaos argued.
"Still, I should've—" I started only to be interrupted.
"It was not your fault!" Lady Order reprimanded harshly.
I shut up. Hell hath no fury like a woman's wrath. I was still wallowing in self disrespect, but it was slowly going away. After all, we've been in here for awhile.
"We're going to send you on a short mission to Earth to help the Chinese Pantheon, then you are to come back and talk with the Orbitals, ok?" Lady Order asked.
I nodded and departed. Lady Order transmitted the mission details to my mind and turned out I don't know any Chinese. I reappeared in Beijing, in an alley way. Some banging on trash cans let me know I startled a cat.
Just as I was about to put of the darkness, I sensed a presence behind me. It felt like one of a god or goddess. I turned and was met with a beautiful Chinese woman. She sauntered up to me.
"Nǐ hǎo."
******
It was about three days later when I came back from my mission. I reformed my molecules in my room and relished in the comforting place of my room. I headed to my shower and took a cold one, because boy was it hot in China.
They were nice though, and helped me learn some Chinese. Just as I pulled on some comfy sweat pants, Star burst into my room. She's seen me enough times without a shirt so she didn't react, but the grim expression on her face said something was wrong. Crest and Dawn came in after her.
Was everyone invited to my room? Star pushed me onto my bed, forcing me to sit. Dawn and Crest stood in the doorway, while Star grabbed my comfy wheely chair. She rolled over to me and sat in front of me.
"I need to tell you something." Star revealed determined.
I stared at her confused, and what did the two brothers have to do with this. If she saw my confusion she ignored it.
"Snake's been cheating on you."
My heart dropped, she had to be joking,"You're lying."
She shook her head sadly,"I'm not, I walked in on him having sex after you went to interrogate the prisoner."
"We walked in on him kissing some girl in the hallway after you left to talk to Chaos and Order." Dawn input less than happy.
I pushed myself off the bed, heading to Snake's room across from mine. I forced the brothers to part and burst into Snake's room. Snake was without a shirt, lying underneath Edgar who straddled him in his boxers.
I waited for Snake to push him away, but instead he pulled the soldier down into a kiss, rubbing against him harder. I couldn't tear my eyes away from the scene as my boyfriend... ex boyfriend, became intimate with someone else.
The strangled gasp that escaped my lips felt like it took my heart with it. Unwillingly tears formed in my eyes and my hands started shaking. Scratch that, my whole body was shaking, in anger or despair, I didn't know.
All the heat left me and my body took a step back on its own. Emptiness took place where my heart was. I didn't get it, why would he do this to me? We've been together for at least a couple years, if you count the unlimited flirting that happened in my training to become Commander, then over five years.
Not to mention the time before the first titan war with the Greeks. After everything, and he just threw me away because I couldn't have sex with him. It wasn't my fault that I've been through experiences that caused me to fear it.
My gasp grasped the two's attention. Snake's eyes stared straight into mine and his face morphed into one of pure horror. My cheeks felt wet and I realized I was shedding tears. Edgar was smirking at me smugly, but I ignored him.
"Si—siren." Snake stuttered shocked to the core.
"Why?" My voice cracked.
Everyone around me froze, even Edgar. Shock took their expressions, because I didn't channel. I spoke through my mouth. I haven't used my voice since the day Annabeth died. It was like my voice never left, the same, but just a bit raspy.
"I loved you." I continued, tears flowing faster down my face.
"I love you too." Snake stated, tears decorating his face,"I didn't mean to... I'm sorry."
I fled, I couldn't handle it. I turned on my heel and ran as fast as I could away from the situation. I passed so many people who's eyes followed me confused. I don't know if they could see my tears, but I ignored them all.
I ended up in the signal room. All the lights were flashing green. I needed something to take my mind off him. I made a couple rounds, but the bulbs still flickered green. Then my vision tunneled in on the one empty stand.
It was where Twizne was supposed to be. If I used enough energy, I could forget what happened and dream of nothing. I'm taking that chance. I approached the stand, putting my hands around it.
Heating my hands up with fire and water, I commanded the elements to form a circle. Pouring everything I had into it, I called upon my forsaken Chaos' powers and created from memory the planet that had exploded.
Power rushed through me, it was too much, but I wanted—no, needed to recreate this planet. I screamed from my mouth, letting go of my Lady Hera's blessing and taking on Lord Chaos.
Without Lady Hera's blessing I wouldn't be able to channel anymore, but I don't want to. I collapsed at the base of the stand. My clothes were sizzling and my energy drained, but Twizne was proudly floating on the stand, the bulb flickering green.
I heard footsteps scamper into the room. I blinked slowly, everywhere I looked, the masses of everything and everyone around me blurred together. I felt really hot and had trouble breathing. Everything was really loud and the sounds hurt my ears. Lord Chaos and Lady Order's faces appeared blearily, but I could make out the looks of concern.
"Oh Siren." Lady Orders voice cooed softly, caressing my heated skin.
"What have you done..." Lord Chaos finished for her.
Tell me what you think...
