~Nicky POV~

I jogged back across the street to rejoin everyone.

"Where did you go?" asked Bellamy.

"Earlier this morning I bumped into that girl and she dropped her keys. One of them got left behind so I was just returning it took her," I explained.

"Ooooh sounds like the beginning of a lOvE sToRy," said Amelia.

"Love story? Girl what do you think this is?" I laughed, "I wouldn't mind though."

"Whats her name?" Prudence asked.

"Her name is Lindsey and she had fallen asleep in her car. It looked like she was kinda having a bad day," I said, while looking at the ground.

"When you talk like that it kinda sounds like you like her."

"Be quiet Saffron," I jokingly exclaimed.

We had finally arrived at Mici's and began ordering our food. 2 medium pizzas and a couple of us got drinks. 

"Let's do an eating competition," said Saffron.

Eating competition? Sounds like my kind of game. I grab a couple of napkins and placed a couple of slices of pizza on my plate. 

"Are we going for speed or number of slices?" I questioned.

Saffron responded, "We'll do number of slices so that we can take as much time as possible. I wanna hear more about this Lindsey girl."

"Agreed," said Prudence and Bellamy and Amelia nodded in agreement.

I sighed and took a bite of my first slice of pizza.

"So I told you I bumped into her, but what I didn't tell you was how much of a baddie she was. This sounds super creepy, but I was looking at her body and I can tell that she is the athletic type."

"You would look at her body first."

"Shut your face hole. She's taller than me so it's her body that's in front of my face."

"Yeah, mhm."

 "Anyways," I continued, "I looked into her eyes and they were so blue I thought I was going for a swim. The way she looked at me was just..."

"Uh, Nicky, sounds a lot like you like her," said Saffron.

"No," I responded

"No? How are you gonna say no after you just went on about her like that?"

"See this is why Bellamy is the smartest," Amelia replied.

"Okay well, even if I did like her, she looks like the straightest girl ever so..."

"Don't knock it till you try it. Isn't that what you always say about food?"

"Yeah, but this isn't food. These are my feelings. It's much more complicated," I answered.

I realized that all this talking was getting me behind on the pizza eating competition. I only managed to eat one slice of pizza during the time and the rest of the pizza was slowly disappearing. I started stuffing my face with pizza to prevent having to talk about Lindsey.

"Y'know," Saffron started, "You could try talking a little. It's a wild world and anything could happen. And even if she is straight you could always move on."

I thought about it and replied," Sounds like a lot of work. You know what I could do is look at her hand and see how well she takes care of her fingernails. Wink wink, nod nod."

Everyone laughed, including me, but deep down I wanted to know...

I wanted to know more about her. Her favorite foods, movies, hobbies and more.
