Some time ago the (new) neighbors dog came down our road and killed one of our chickens. (And almost killed one of our ducks)

That is a big deal to us, they are like our family.

Some of you may think something like 'Oh it just a chicken' A lot of people think that and for those who do, Think of your pet being killed by another pet and the owner of the pet not caring because they don't think its a problem, cus' it was just a cat or dog, snake, ex...

It's weird how some people think it doesn't matter if a lower grade animal dies.

Something else did happen, my mom was on facebook and was posting about how your dog should have a tag and out of no where a girl starts talking about the dog who killed our chickens

She said something like 'Well, that dog is old and can't see' and mom said

'Well our chicken is dead and can't see anything now.' (You go gal)

Anyways at one point another girl joined in and started to threaten us...

Saying stuff about killing our chickens. One even said,

'If I wasn't sick right now, id go and kill our chickens my self'

Hmmm...

Uttering threats

264.1 (1) Every one commits an offence who, in any manner, knowingly utters, conveys or causes any person to receive a threat

(a) to cause death or bodily harm to any person;

(b) to burn, destroy or damage real or personal property; or

(c) to kill, poison or injure an animal or bird that is the property of any person.

Punishment

(2) Every one who commits an offence under paragraph (1)(a) is guilty of

(a) an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years; or

(b) an offence punishable on summary conviction and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding eighteen months.

(3) Every one who commits an offence under paragraph (1)(b) or (c)

(a) is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years; or

(b) is guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction.
