Chapter Seventeen
Ever since she had learned Quick Attack, Fae had been learning moves left and right. Well, she learned two more, which were both attack moves. Now she can both tackle enemies as she was taught by Churro and Bite enemies—taught by a Chespin known as Hericius. Together, Churro and Hericius taught her how to fight, however, Fae wasn't completely trusting in her abilities yet.
It had been a few weeks of hard labor and training since she learned those moves, and now she was being tested by Hericius in a battle. So far, she had been able to use it. She wasn't a master of the move yet—however she has been trying hard to not only hone her skills, but to work harder for her siblings and friends.
She had no idea what Fergus and Neri had been doing while she was training, but she saw Mauve Eon watching—Mauve listening more than watching since she was blind—her as she trained with both grass starters. Fae could tell both were skilled.
She didn't understand why Tudi said that the squad was weak and pathetic. So far, they seemed to be willing her to do her best and to focus harder on the things that she needed to improve on. She was grateful for their time.
"Alright, Fae. Show me your Bite once more! I think you've almost got this mastered. You've already mastered Quick Attack and Sand Attack now. You're very close to graduating from this move." Hericius informed her.
Fae's eyes sparkled. If she mastered Bite, then she could protect herself from the ghost types. They weren't really a threat because she was a normal type—however it was just better for the coverage.
She had to be reminded several times she would still need to learn a move to get past her fighting type weakness. It was definitely a thorn in her paw at this point.
Fae hated fighting type Pokémon. Always bragging about how much stronger they were than most Pokémon. She had encountered a couple several times. Most were either boastful or not impressive in battle. The latter was what happened the most. Her sister's Boyfriend—she learned that during her time here when the Squad kept mentioning the word to her—battled the fighting types, crippled and all.
She assumed the fighting types underestimated their opponent as each one was sent flying towards some Pokémon dressed in all blue, wearing caps and yellow badges as well. Let's just say that problem was still being addressed as Hericius and her honed her Bite.
Fae prepared the Bite for the Chespin—the greenery on her body was replaced with an autumn aesthetic of brown; she was a shiny as well. Fae leapt towards her new friend, raging with boundless energy. She wanted to master this move—perhaps in the process also impress her new friend.
The younger Chespin before her was a natural at catching low ranked villains. She was a very caring and honest Pokemon. She had caught a couple of Litleo who were causing trouble one time for the Squad. They claim the area where Poketown was their territory, and hissed at others to leave. Of course, they were caught. They weren't very good at fighting, and didn't seem to fight well together in battles.
Fae almost let out her giggles.
Not to mention they were very clumsy when trying to hit their opponents. She thought as she sank her almost-imaginary-like fangs into her friend's shoulder. Besides a slight wince, the brown Chespin endured—then she clapped.
"Good job, Fae! I think you're almost ready to graduate from Bite!" Hericius praised. Fae turned her head away in slight embarrassment. However, the look on her face was pleased to hear such news.
She was glad she was improving greatly. And I have many Pokémon to thank. Im happy Paarthurnax let us stay here to train. It would have been a hassle to need to find someplace else to train and stay.
"Just a bit longer, and we can wrap this up. How about it? You think you can master this move like you did with the others?"
Fae nodded.
Herisius smiled, pleased. "That's good to hear! Let's continue then!" Fae got into a battle stance. This would take a bit. "Now! Bite!" Fae ran at her again and again, using the move for a few hours.
"That's good, Fae! You've mastered this move as well! Now all you need to master is your Tackle move. I think there should be another Pokémon who knows Tackle. I no longer know Tackle as I got rid of it for other moves. Now then, let's celebrate your accomplishments with a big meal, eh? I believe you deserve yourself a treat!" the shiny cheered with a sunny smile.
Fae couldn't help but smile back. She loved her new friend. She hoped they would meet again sometime. Maybe if they had a break from their journeys, Fae would get to see them.
However, Fae couldn't help but glance around just to heed to Tudi and the other villains' warnings. Could there possibly be a Darkrai lingering about here? Would that Darkrai even allow them the leisures?
Fae sighed. Maybe she was overthinking it. They were villains. They had every right to either mess around with her like they were doing or lie to her completely.
For a moment, Fae could see piercing red eyes loom in the darkness before they faded away. Then, she shrugged it off. She shouldn't worry. She put on a smile. It was time to celebrate! Cheerfully, she went inside where they had food and drinks of all kinds. Obviously they had more to celebrate than just Fae's training, but Fae liked to pretend the retirement of one of the oldest members of the Squad was more a retirement of her being afraid of the world around her, and growing to be more brave. Even if it was slightly, Fae was glad to have any sort of growth.

Skliros had been studying his target's sister. She looked weak and pathetic. Of course, that didn't stop the pathetic Squad from training her to be better. She was growing decent. She now mastered Bite. He had been waiting within the bushes for the perfect opportunity—however, there never was a good opportunity.
Eon had always been with someone. He had been with his siblings more than once. Skliros rubbed his face. I hope you find our help soon, Rau. I hope I sent the right Pokémon. He prayed as he ducked. The silver-white Eevee had looked in his direction. Skliros hoped she didn't see his rags and blind eyes. He could hear her swivel her head. She made quite the loud turning of head sounds.
After that close call Skliros decided to head away from the squad. If he was found he would surely be put in jail. He slowly inched his way; he careful ensured he was floating as well. There was a very close cliff by this training spot that claimed the lives of many Pokémon.
He slipped away, but didn't go far. He found himself bumping into Rau. "Skliros! Great news!" She exclaimed, trying to whisper. Skliros appreciated it. He told her she had to be more quiet—she listened.
Skliros indicated for her to move on albeit with his raggedy doll-like paws.
"I found someone who can help us." She informed. Skliros nodded. "Good. Very good." He responded. "Who is it? As you can see I am," he shuddered, "Blind."
He assumed Rau was nodding. "She is a Gothita." Rau informed him. He snorted. Of course she would enlist a female Pokémon to be their hypnotizer. "So how do I know this Gothita can be trusted, Rau?" He asked her, ignoring the Gothita he couldn't hear.
Rau huffed. Skliros could imagine her folding her arms indignantly.
"Listen, Skliros, I know you don't trust my judgments like you used to, but please—I'm sure she'd be willing to show us her loyalty. Right, Viola?" Rau asked the now identified Gothita. "Yeah! Of course! I'll show you what I can do, Skliros, sir!" Viola answered eagerly.
Skliros almost let out a chuckle. At least she got an eager Pokémon to do it. To be honest, a fresh face in their evil team would be just nice. He was hoping for one of his old friend's Hypno sidekicks or possibly that Blaziken's Gengar. Either way, he needed help from a hypnotist.
"Alrighty, then. Let's go see what you can do, Junior." He chuckled. He wanted to keep her on the team unless the other options were there—however there being a Gothita was a great option. Neither hated nor loved. He could surely use a less suspicious Pokémon on his team. And once he was done, Eon would be dead and the Squad would be disbanded.
He smirked. He couldn't wait to unleash his new toy on them.
Eon I hope you're ready for the ultimate wrath. No one messes with Skliros, not even the dopiest shitface on the planet!
He cracked his knuckles. "You ready for your test?" "Yes!"

Author's Note: I had fun creating new characters. Anyways I hope these training chapters aren't too boring. I'm trying to hurry them along because that's not what this story's focused on, but anyways....
Let me know your thoughts on this chapter please. Tbh I don't expect Viola to hang around for long since her main purpose is just for hypnotizing, though, but let me know your thoughts on the new characters.
