Chapter Six

Fae woke up the next morning feeling slightly tired. The night before was still replaying in her head. Fae really wanted to believe her brother, but she also really wanted to believe her mother wasn't some lying 'mon.

Fae opened her eyes and blinked up at the ceiling, frowning. She brought her paws closer to her, feeling quite small. She clambered out of her bed, and decided to start her day.

She padded into the kitchen and saw Eon, Neri, Izar, Fergus, Mauve, and Ezekiel. "Good morning, everyone. How'd you sleep?" She asked cheerfully. She ignored the fighting happening between Neri, Mauve, and Izar. Thinking about it would just make her nervous anyways.

Mauve turned to her with a brilliant smile that was hiding her agitation. "Oh, I slept fine, Fae. Thanks for asking. Though, no one instructed me on where I was to go. I kept bumping into walls. I just listed a complaint to the manager, but she seems to be a Jynx instead of a Jolteon." Mauve insulted.

Fae tilted her head. She was confused. Izar still looked like a Jolteon, so how could she be a Jynx. This was the first time that Mauve, Fergus, and Neri were allowed to sleep inside the house in a long time. Unfortunately it seemed to make them tense and Mauve didn't seem to remember where to put her purple Vaporeon paws.

Fae sighed, wishing it didn't have to be like this. It made her mom the bad guy. Neri was the first to leave the nest, but did Izar really have to treat her daughter's boyfriend and the male's sister so poorly? She already treated her own son like shit when he made claims about the outside world which seemed preposterous. Which, now that Fae thought about it: why was questioning how bad the world was truly a thing to be scorned about?

"Oh," Fae remarked. She glanced outside, seeing snow beginning to fall down on the ground. She pointed with a paw. "Hey, it's snowing!" She exclaimed in joy. Eon joined her, his red gaze following snowflakes as they traveled across the sky and landed on the ground.

"Yeah. You see how they are freely falling down? It's quite the sight. I'm glad I decided to search for you and my family." He yipped as his tongue splay out of his mouth. Fae nodded.

Mauve and Fergus joined them. Mauve angled her ears towards the window. "I can sure hear them alright." She yipped. Eon helped Fergus with his wheelchair placement as the Espeon glanced out the window. "Wow! Snow has always been a very pretty thing." He stated.

"Anyways," Mauve began, "Mrs. Izar here was about to get breakfast started, weren't you?" She sounded a bit annoyed and aggressive as she asked it. She shot the Jolteon a glare briefly before she relaxed her features. Izar growled. "Yes," she said through strained teeth. "I was just about to make eggs and Cinnamon rolls."

Fae's smile widened. "Ooh!" She tumbled. She really liked cinnamon rolls. "Can't wait!" She cheered as her body vibrated. Could she really wait this long for breakfast? Of course she could! Fae spied her mother smiling briefly before she opened the fridge, reached in, and carefully wrapped her paws around the cartoon of eggs. Then, her yellow-and-spiked furred Jolteon mother closed the fridge door before opening the freeze and grabbing the beautifully frozen rolls of dough.

After a few minutes of baking cinnamon rolls Fae's ears twitched as she heard a noise. At first, she ignored it. She heard the sound again. It was a slow movement, as if stalking something purposeful. Of course. Fae rolled her eyes. She heard the floor creak and a huff of frustration followed as Fae heard shuffling.

She snorted. Her siblings were weird. They had something called 'pooblic school' or something of the sorts. Fae felt proud to be taught by her mother. Her siblings always came back with homework. She got hers done right away. Or that's what happened when she was homeschooled. She still saw a couple Eevee bring back schoolwork.

This specific Eevee was called Nike, and she was into this strange creepy crap. Fae didn't understand it. She loved her sister, but they never saw eye to eye regarding spooky things. She always saw ghosts as creepy Pokémon who she should avoid, while her sister was talking day to day with some strange dead corpse. She remembered it was called a Shedinja. Nike didn't have any friends. Not that Fae had any either. She was really friendly to the only Pokémon she could consider a friend, which was that very same Kecleon from before.

Suddenly, a furious knock on the door—it almost destroyed the door—could be heard. It sounded urgent. Fae opened it only for a screaming Kecleon to race inside, and slam the door shut. "Lock the door! Lock the door!" Kecleon shouted, panting as she shivered in fear.

"Uhm, why?" Ezekiel wondered, looking up from his magazine. "Oh hey, Kecleon. When did you get here?" He greeted with a smile. His smile immediately faded when he noticed the bruises on her face. "Who's out there?" He asked, his demeanor immediately changing.

"There's a back door. We can escape through there!" Izar exclaimed as Ezekiel raced upstairs. He turned back. "I'm walking our other children!" The Flareon swiftly took action, shouting in such a loud voice Fae was sure even whoever was out there could hear.

Suddenly, Fae could hear furious screaming coming from outside the front door. "Let me in, you annoying Jolteon! You and I both knew this was coming. You belong to Master! He wants you and your shiny Eevee. Come out, or we'll kill your children!" A booming voice exclaimed as an explosion occurred. The Pokémon must have attacked the door.

Fae squealed as she was sent skyrocketing backwards against a wall. The door had been blasted open. A familiar smelling Luxray came prowling inside.

By this point, all Fae's brothers and sisters had been ushered downstairs. "Oh fuck! Is this—?" The Luxray turned towards the Flareon who was nosing a golden Eevee down the hall towards the door.

"Yes it is. Damn you're quick to breed, aren't cha?" The Luxray asked, snorting. "Didn't know you were such a whore. Man, you're such a trainer's 'mon." The Luxray teased.

He prowled closer as Fae was shoved behind her mother. "Go!" Izar shouted as she faced the Luxray. "He just wants me."

He just wants her? But didn't he say—

"I won't let my trainer have you! You deserve to..." the Jolteon choked. "You deserve to have your own freedom. I never was able to give it to you. I've been a hypocrite. I didn't want you to be locked up by a human. You're a shiny Pokémon: desired by humans because of your rarity and beautiful fur color. I'm sorry, Fae. This has been my entire purpose. To breed and bring my human Eevee in hopes of one day having one be shiny. I ran away from him with the help of my wild mate, Majnun. Unfortunately, he wasn't loyal enough to help me past that. I didn't realize his true nature until I ran away from my human once more." Izar barked.

She had a whole speech for me. Fae looked back. The Luxray was just watching. Fae could hear the human make sounds behind the Luxray. The Luxray looked back. "I'm on it!" He exclaimed as big jaws came from the Luxray. Electricity crackled from in between the jaws.

Ezekiel came back from the outside to help his wife. "This is my battle alone, Ezekiel. Leave with everyone else!" Izar barked, baring her fangs at the Luxray. "No! I won't leave you here to die just like that. We've been through too much together! I won't leave you! Then I'd be no better than that stupid Absol!" Ezekiel barked as the Thunder Fang came closer to the Eeveelutions. The Luxray's Thunder Fang reached over to Ezekiel. He took it painfully, crying out in pain before using his own fang move, Fire Fang.

By this point it was only Fae, Eon, Neri, Mauve, and Fergus who were the only kids left in the house. Neri and Fergus were prepared to fight, while Mauve and Eon were paying attention to the discussion. Fae's jaw dropped. Her mother had been a trainer's Pokémon all along? And she was bred to have Shinies?

And apparently I'm a shiny. I always wondered why I was silver, but some of my siblings are also like me—one's even gold. I don't understand.

Izar had an affectionate gaze. "I-I," Izar began. "Whatever reasoning behind keeping Fae inside doesn't matter. You wanted to protect her. Now let me help. You don't have to face this problem alone. You never told me you were a trainer's Pokémon. I always thought you were a wild Pokémon." Ezekiel remarked.

"We can help too. I know all about this guy and his Luxray. I've fought them countless times. I don't understand why he wants to kill me, but I do know I can help. We can all help. You don't have to fight this alone." Eon rumbles.

Izar's eyes fill with tears. Before she could reject any of them, Mauve immediately hit the Luxray—who was sneaking up behind Izar with a guilty expression—with a Aurora Beam.

Authors note: I hope that was enough of an action packed chapter. I know this wasn't really part of the plot at first, but I thought adding the trainer part would be a nice twist.

Anyways let me know your thoughts on this please. I want to know! And thanks for reading! 🥰😍😎
