Chapter Seven

Fae didn't know how much help she would be in a battle such as this. Her mother didn't teach her the basics of battling. She only knew how to throw Sand Attacks. From the battle positions her family had taken, they knew more than she did.

I hope I can help! She prayed as the whole family forgot about the kitchen oven that was still on and being preheated for the cinnamon rolls.

She knew it would be difficult, but she had to try! Fae focused her attention on the Luxray who seemed uncertain about fighting many enemies all at once. He seemingly shook his head to convince himself he was stronger than them, and immediately began to use moves on as many of them as he could at a seemingly impossible rate.

Fae attempted to dodge the few Thunderbolts that were sent her way. At first, she couldn't dodge them in time, getting her tail, legs, and ears scorched by the power of lightning. Fae cried out in pain.

This wasn't even her battle! Why should she be the one to help when he mother only kept her from the outside all her life? Fae growled. She had no purpose in this battle whatsoever. At least her father had a good reason: he didn't want to leave her mother alone in this battle.

What made Fae join this battle? She was useless. Her mother ensured that. She frowned. What am I supposed to do? I don't know if I can use any attack moves properly. Mother said that peace would always win in the end, but this has convinced me otherwise.

Fae put a paw to her chin. "Fae, what are you doing?" Ezekiel asked in concern. "Can you even fight?"

The simple answer to such a question was obviously no. Fae could only attack with sand. Where even was sand in this house?! Ezekiel kept it super clean. She was briefly taught to kick the ground and sand would come up, but in a place with no sand there was very little she could do to turn the tides of battle.

What could a small shiny Eevee even do in the first place? What kind of attacks does she have?

Fae rubbed her brain while the battle was going on, praying for a miracle or an instinct to take over. Nothing. I'm such a useless Pokémon! I can't even fight! I'm sure all my siblings know how to fight by now. Neri knows how to use Psychic Powers.

Fae watched as the battle continued onwards. She felt miserable. There was nothing she could do to help. Every attack that was aimed at her was tanked by her father; the Luxray seemingly appeared regretful of what he was doing, but didn't stop listening to orders.

Most of the orders were electrical attacks aimed at either Mauve, Fae, or Eon—mostly at Eon. This guy must really hate Eon. Fae could hear shuffling behind her, and spun around. The shadow of another Eevee was stalking around the house. It had started at the back door out.

Fae turned towards the ground. She wanted to help her mom, but how? She wasn't as smart as the others, nor nearly as powerful. She could kick dust up, but what good would that do?

Come on think, Fae. There has to be something you could do to help.

The older Eevee decided to get help. Maybe one of her family members had an idea. She decided getting it from her mom or dad wasn't a good idea as she knew they would tell her to just run away or leave them to deal with the very evolved Luxio who destroyed their lives all those years ago. Except this time, he was way more powerful.

"What's wrong, little Vee? Can't fight for shit?" The Luxray sneered as his tail glowed white-yellow. Finally, a move that wasn't electricity based. The weak white stars were aimed at Fae with such precision. He must have trained for hours on end. Something Fae lacked.

Fae's ears bent closer to her head. Of course she couldn't fight that well! Was the Luxray blind? She researched Luxray at one point in her homeschooling. She found out they had amped vision, so she figured that this Luxray's vision would be impeccable.

Fear flashed in her eyes as her stomach clenched, feeling the contents within her stomach churn. Her heart ached as she tried to dodge. She was useless. That's the conclusion that keeps coming back.

The attack ricocheted from the air where it was aimed at her, and it flashed towards Izar. The older Pokémon absorbed the attack with ease, though it seemed it was taking a lot out of her to take the attack.

A growl rumbled within the powerful Luxray's throat. Obvious annoyance in his gaze as he aimed another Thunderbolt towards Fae. The result was the same. Izar screamed with pain, though it didn't appear the lightning attacks hurt her. It seemed as if the force of her absorbing the lightning was the source of her pain.

Izar grit her teeth as she absorbed it. She thrashed about while the Luxray watched with a smirk on his face. "Well, little Izar. It seems your ability can only go so far. I forgot you knew how to control when to use it. Lightning Absorb is such a wonderful ability. Too bad it takes so much to switch it on and off. What's your other ability that you can switch between now without human help, now?" The Luxray wondered with amusing smile on his face as he deviously hit the Jolteon with a powerful Crunch that made her flinch and cry out in pain.

Fae and her family exclaimed out in shock as they saw blood starting to drip from the attack done by Luxray. The Luxray licked his lips, which were dripping with the blood of his former team mate. He chuckled darkly, his red eyes becoming suddenly darker.

"You Wanna see my secret trick?" The Luxray asked them. What was he thinking? Fae was so confused. This has been the weirdest rollercoaster ever. First she hears that this trainer an Luxray know her mother, and now she's heard she could switch abilities? What other secrets has her mother kept from the family? And why hasn't she told me? Fae wondered.

Then it was all brought down to this. This man wanted Izar as well as Fae, but why? Could Fae be tied closer to her mother than she originally intended?

The Luxray rolled his eye, noticing the confused look on the young shiny Vee's face. He padded closer, which evoked Izar to jump in front of her daughter. Fae watched as Luxray just shook his head at Izar's attempt to protect her daughter.

He only leaned closer to purr, "Didn't you know, little Vee? You're special. Unlike most of your brothers and sisters you were a special breed. Master was a scientist who tampered with the DNA of Pokémon across the world. He's the main reason why your mother can switch from Quick Feet, her hidden ability—which shouldn't even be available to such a lowlife, double crossing Pokémon like her, and Lightning Rod: her actual ability. And well—I apologize for not revealing this crucial information sooner, he wanted her to mate and have children to see if any would have the abilities he wanted. She produced two. We were after them both, but unfortunately at the time one of them had been adopted. So at the time—"

The sound of a wheelchair skidding on the ground with a chalk-sounding screech interrupted the Lynx pokemon's huge ass speech. A wide-eyed Fergus yowled in shock. "Sorry! I fell asleep from the long speech. Continue on."

The Luxray growled at Fergus, electrocuting him briefly before continuing the speech that no one wanted to hear. Does this Pokémon seriously think we want a whole when a brief explanation would do better? Fae huffed as the electric type took a huge breath.

"Hurry up in there!"

The oven was now on fire, but no one noticed due to the attention being on Luxray. The fire was starting to spread to the cabinets and everything around the kitchen. How no one could smell the smoke? Only Arceus knows.

The Luxray cleared his throat. "Anyways like I was saying, one of the kits with a special ability had been adopted by that time. We couldn't nab him. We tried with the other, which was Fae." The Luxray explained.

Fae exclaimed in shock. "That's right, little Vee. Our mission wasn't to kill every Eevee there. You thought we were just greedy murderers. We were looking for the Eevee with Future Sight abilities as well as the Eevee—no one knew about this—who had the special power to ability switch whenever she wanted."

Fae was shocked. How could she have powers? She was but a simple Eevee. She never encountered such powers before. But there was one thing on her mind: her long lost brother also had powers.

Maybe they weren't the same powers, but he still had something special.

But why me? Why us? I just wanted a peaceful life with my family, and now I know this. What kind of Eevee does that make me? Fae wondered.

And then a sudden explosion sent Fae, Ezekiel, Eon, Mauve, Fergus, and a sneaking Nike backwards. Fae was able to have the table halt her from being sent back too far. Unfortunately, the others were blasted out the door.

The Luxray leapt towards her. He was about to use Crunch on her. Izar struggled to jump in front of her daughter. She was picked up by the jaws. They pierced deep into her fur and skin, and Izar screamed. Luxray threw her flawlessly against a wall.

Fae could hear a crack and silence. Blood was spattered along t Luxray's muzzle. "You're coming with me!" He growled loudly. He lowered his fangs closely to Fae's throat before Fae kicked him.

Fae didn't know what came over her. She didn't mean to abandon her own mother. She just ran away. She didn't bother to turn around. She just ran.

"For Arceus sake. I hate the ability Run Away!"

Author's Note: So I did a whoopsie in this chapter. Then I tried fixing it and created a beautiful plot somehow. I blame it on me forgetting Volt Absorb is a thing.

So yeah. Anyways now Fae and Eon both have special powers. Worked out kinda good to be honest. Really a good explanation for that fifth move.

Lol. 🤣

Anyways let me know your thoughts and opinions on this. I know it might be cliche. But let me know anyways .
