"Oh my god!"

I squealed like a fangirl. I read the words displayed on my computer again and smiled once more. The Last Guardian, the game that's been in progress by the PS4 for the past 6 years, is finally released!

I instantly added it to the cart and clicked 'buy'. It's gonna take a while, but it will be worth the 6 year long wait!

I giggled with glee as I finished my first let's play video of the game. It's awesome so far! Yes, the controls are a bit ancient and the camera needed to be fixed just a tiny bit, but otherwise, it's second best to Shadow Of The Colossus. Huffing a tired breath, I stood up as I brushed my brown hair to make it stick up slightly and walked to the kitchen. College exams littered the table, and I groaned like a middle school child. You know what, I thought. I'll do it later like I always do.

I opened up the upper cupboards and grabbed a glass cup. I filled it up with water and took a sip, sighing with relief as the cold substance washed down my throat. The cabin was silent, if you don't count my dog breathing in her sleeping form and the paused music from the game in the other room. My thoughts had brought me back to the game and the amazing texture and lighting used within it. All of the action and on edge adrenaline, makes me wish that everything in The Last Guardian was real. Even the mythical creature, the Trico.

Suddenly something felt off for a second. Gizmo, my dog, had twitched her ear and the lights had flickered for a moment. I looked around but found nothing out of the ordinary. I was about to shrug it off as drowsy delusions until it happened again, this time louder. I looked down at my glass to see the water form vibration rings. Squinting my eyes, I scanned through the window above my sink that showed a perfect view of the woods that surrounded the shelter. Only pitch blackness.

Putting on my blue hoodie and sneakers, I walked outside with a flashlight. Again, nothing was wrong from what I've seen. "God damn it," I muttered as I marched on into the foggy woods. I scanned my light around the surroundings as I walked, the twigs and shriveled leaves crunching under my feet.

A low, baritone howl was heard just a couple miles in front of me, making me freeze in terror. A huge shadowed figure was hunched over a luminescent blue glow which emerged from a rotting barrel of some sorts. I rose my light towards it as I trembled. Giant talons was the first thing I saw, then a mound of ruffled feathers were next. Before I could see its face, a pair of glowing, yellow eyes suddenly made contact with my own blue ones. I ran off as fast as I could back to the cabin, but large, bounding footsteps made me fall as the ground shook. I scrambled as best as I could until a force pulled against my hoodie. I was lifted from the ground as I screamed and wiggled to escape. The large creature threw me into the air before catching me into its large maw. Blackness consumed me, and I wasn't sure if it was from being in its mouth or from fainting in shock.

Pain.

That was all I could feel as ringing filled my ears.

I struggled to open my eyes before a giant blast was heard and a loud, vibrating groan. I passed out once again.

My senses slowly returned as I awoke. I grunted as I blinked my eyes at the blinding sunlight. I was on my stomach, my figure being slightly bent. I was lying on top of something. My hands shaking, I placed them down in order to sit up. The surface I was on felt… weird. That was all I could explain it as.

I heard labored, heavy breathing right beside my aching body. Once my vision cleared, I noticed I was lying on a beak?

I sat up and instantly regretted it. I rubbed my head as shocking pain resided in my brain. I heard a familiar groan and looked over, seeing a fuzzy, black and white face if some immense creature. I yelped out as I realized it was the same monster, but another mistake was added to my fucked up list.

The creature snapped open its glowing eyes and saw me. It let out a mighty roar and bucked its head up, making me fly off, and my back hit a rocky surface before falling down. I was knocked out as my forehead made contact with a rock, and everything was black again.
