"Do you really expect me to come with you after you literally just killed a thing that's not supposed to be real?" I asked, raising a brow. "And do I need to mention that my mother just died?" I then added.
"Kid, if you stay here, you will become hunted. We know that." Dean said.
"What are you, some sort of criminal?" I said with obvious sarcasm.
Dean had smiled softly but kept quiet.
"So I'm right then?" I had asked. I thought it was rather obvious that I was being sarcastic. I shook my head as there was silence. "Where are we going?" I then asked.
"Lebanon," Sam replies. "Our... house is there." He then added, almost sounding unsure.
"How come you sound so unsure of what to call a house?" I asked.
"It's a bunker. It's a long story, so don't even bother to ask." Dean said. He seemed annoyed with me asking questions.
"Okay..." I sighed softly before I had rested my head back against the leather seats. I stared at the ceiling of the old Impala before I felt another presence in the car. I immediately looked over.
"Who the hell are you?!" I exclaimed.
"Jesus Christ Cas." Dean said. "You have gotta stop doing that." He added.
Cas had looked over at me. "Carter Cooper, correct?" He asked.
"How do you know my name?!" I was so confused at this point, I barely wanted to be in this car anymore. It was around twelve at night, and I wasn't even tired. Well now.
"I'm an angel of the lord." Cas replies. "My name is Castiel." He had added shortly after. He seemed formal and wore a trench coat with a tie that was loose and a white button up shirt.
"Angels, vampires, werewolves..." my voice trailed off. "What else is there, demons?"
"Yup." Dean and Sam said simultaneously. I rolled my eyes.
"Don't bother asking for more because the list goes on and on," Dean then stated.
After collecting my thoughts and myself, I had fallen asleep on the way to Lebanon where the bunker is. I had began dreaming of what seemed like memories of my mother.
"CC!" My mother yelled from downstairs. CC was a family nickname, and was simply my initials next to each other.
The six year old me had ran downstairs, only to look up and spot the Christmas tree. I smiled and turned and looked at her. "I love it!" I exclaimed. My mother had bent down beside me.
"Go look in that closet over there," she said with a huge smile. The closet was rather large, and six year old me could never imagine what was in there.
I nodded as I approached the closet swiftly, not even thinking of anything. I had reached up and opened the door, twisting the knob and the door flying open.
My dad had stood there in his Army uniform.
"Daddy!" I had exclaimed happily. He picked me up and hugged me tightly. I had began sniffling. It was rare to see my father at any time, and I for sure wasn't sure if I'd ever see him again.
And I didn't. After he returned back, he was shot in the heart and died instantly.
I had shot up from my dream as tears stung my eyes. I was lying in an unfamiliar bed. I had looked around the room and then looked down at my watch. It was around three in the morning and I sighed softly.
I had lay back down and pulled the covers up to my shoulders. I had drifted off into another slumber and this time it was until eight in the morning.
I had looked up to watch the doorknob twist and reveal Dean, who looked tired as all hell. "You're already up?" He asked. I nodded.
"Wait. What am I going to wear?" I asked. Sam had come over to the room as well as I had climbed out of bed. I was wearing what I'd usually wear; an oversized T-shirt, joggers, and an oversized sweatshirt. I had more at my house.
The boys were silent and it seemed like they had completely ignored my question. "Can we go back to my house?" I then asked.
Dean nodded. "Sam stay here in case Cas comes for the hunt," he said as he eyed me and then we had left.
I climbed into the passenger side of the Impala, Dean coming in shortly after. It seemed like something was bothering him, but he didn't seem like he was open to talk about anything.
"How long am I going to stay with you guys?" I asked.
"You said you wanted to know us. For as long as that takes, that's how long." Dean replied, his gaze staying on the road.
"Huh..." I thought for a moment. "But you said you'd also protect me. I don't even know your guys last name and you expect me to allow you to protect me?" I then questioned.
"Dean Winchester. My brother is Sam Winchester, and there's Castiel. Happy now?" He said annoyed.
Okay, I was probably being a pain in the ass. But I couldn't help myself from asking so many questions. It seemed like an instinct each time I had met someone. But not in the situation I had met them.
After the awkward silence for about three hours, we had finally arrived at my house. I had gotten out quietly without saying a single word and entered my house. The blood from where my mother was was all cleaned up. I shook my head and simply went upstairs.
I grabbed my red duffel bag and neatly put in my clothes and other belongings. I knew it maybe wasn't necessary since I was pretty sure I had just slept in one of the brothers rooms, but I still got my belongings anyways.
After about ten minutes, I had zipped the duffel bag and made my way back to the Impala. Dean still seemed annoyed, and I sighed softly as I slid into the car. I placed my bag in the back seat and closed the door.
"Is there something wrong?"
